As you can see it has an average rating is really high, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the score is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Fruit Store belongs to the category of Grocery store.
Love the Coop
friendly and helpful staff, items a a bit higher prices (think an original whole foods) but good quality, healthy, and unique items.
Prices are high, but the selection and variety of foods is difficult to match. Great place.
Love finding unique items here!
Big, so great selection, except for lack of Twisted Teas choices, but not cheap.
Local finds
Simply the best food shopping in the Upper Valley. Great selection, great prepared foods, nice areas to enjoy a meal, courteous and friendly employees. Not to mention that the Coop features products from local farms and companies. It makes shopping a pleasure instead of a chore.
Great store. Everything looks fresh here. Prices are high.
This store has a lot going for it, you will find stuff here that you will not find in a regular grocery store. Some people consider it pricey but if you think about how far you might have to travel to get the same product or the product your looking for is not available then the price makes it more than worthwhile. The staff here is so friendly and they really know their products.
We enjoyed the Coop's Spinach salad and added slices of their teriyaki chicken breast. A nice lunch complemented by Honest 'Just' Green Tea.
Pricey but I like the variety of products they have. Especially Italian products.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of products from food to beauty. They even carry Aura Cacia products which is what I was looking for. Their deli has a great selection of prepared food. Perfect for lunch. It's quick as well. Lots of parking. Fast checkout. They offer membership to shoppers. I love that it's a local store. Convenient locations in the Upper Valley.
Great selection with phenomenal service and high quality food. Can't ask for much more.
Excellent healthy, sustainable food at fair prices. I love the selection at the deli!
I love this store! If you're looking for an obscure ingredient, they have it. Today probably wasn't the best day to visit, three days before Christmas, tremendously long lines, but even with that the employees are happy and helpful.
Great sandwiches at the cafe.
Great prices
A great market all local foods
They don't sell full grown spinach. No one does anymore. Which means that this Co-op does not aspire to be any better than we are average grocery store.
A good option for healthy food. Pricey, like everything around here. Membership is ownership, so, well, whatever that means.
Excellent high end selection but a bit pricey which seems counter to mission as a coop
Calm and easy good shopping for groceries. Great prepared foods. Sandwiches made to order. No distracting music, no pushy displays. Warm and friendly staff. Yes, we'll shop at Hannafords but it's always a relief to come home to the coop.
Great tasting cakes, prices can be a little high on items. Overall a good place to shop.
Over rated its OK.
Not the place to go shopping for routine household items, which are pricey. But the best seafood in the Upper Valley, always fresh and with a selection that is unmatched. Their meat is nothing special, most of it select grade which is below the choice grade available most everywhere else. But the vegetables are great, and they sell Stonewall Kitchen products, who offer superb jellies, sauces, etc. Service is invariably friendly and helpful.
Been coming here for a couple years and it's always nice and comforting store to visit. Most of the employees are friendly, helpful and some aren't. We do like that there's a Sushi Store in the store.
As someone not from around here very confusing layout to the store and they didn't have common brand of coffee we were looking for.
Meat, Fish and Produce are the best in area. Can be hard to find some items , but we are lucky to have such a fine grocery store
Always cheerful and knowledgeable staff. Lots of options that you can't find anywhere else. Many local products.
We love the coop! Great meat counter! Many selection of beer!
Wide assortment of organic and natural foods
Very nice people
Best quality food around
Great store...ckean, neat, and has just about everything a market could offer.
Great food and a wonderful small town atmosphere
Like grocery shopping at a gas station. Poor choices, weird brands, and outrageous prices - just take whatever price you're used to and add a buck or two or three. If it wasn't the only "choice" in town it'd have gone under decades ago.
It's the best supermarket in the area if not most inexpensive, but always good sale items.
Always a great place to shop
Great store for local and commercial foods
Very good selection of items that are difficult to find elsewhere. Some prices are higher for products sold in local stores.
It's a great place for all ages. Everyone is friendly!
I went inside the store for early lunch (don't get the chicken tenders) and it was really good.
Just ordered a sandwich cost 7.99 and it was small and hardly any meat on it! If your making subs and charging $8 they should be a decent size and more than one slice of meat and cheese on it. #ripoff
Lots of wholesome options you cannot find elsewhere which is great. But, why does the regular stuff have to be so expensive?? Especially when we can drive a mile and get it for half the price :-(
Best grocery store in the upper valley!
The Co-op Food Stores are a rewarding place to shop mostly thanks to the employees. The majority of them are working careers, not dead-end jobs for less than a living wage; their attitudes reflect that by and large. You do pay premium for an organization that pays and treats its staff well, but isn't that how we all ought to treat one another? Furthermore, if you're local and want a say in how the Co-op operates, you can become a member for a $50 share and be assured your voice is heard. You've nowhere near that influence with chain supermarkets.
too pricey but I was happy that the copper employs so many people
Fantastic
U good bruh
Very nice food store good but expensive I like it
Good place to shop. Prices are high on some things, but if you are observant you can get a good deal.
On the 20th Anniversary Day when the Coop offered a 20% off your grocery bill: At 11:45 there was a 4 to 5 minute line for carts. The store was very crowded, and the line to check out was about 30 to 40 minute wait. But the shelves were full, the staff madly stocking as fast as they could, and everyone was quite cheerful. A pretty good experience, all told.
Local, high quality, meat, produce, dairy. and every other kind of food you'd ever need. They also employ great people who care about their communities.
Disgusted beyond belief with this place. I've been extremely annoyed by the "round up" campaign as I don't like being panhandled when I'm picking up 2 items at the grocery store. Today around 5 I waited at least 15 minutes to buy 3 things - bc the express lane wasn't open during the busiest time of the day. I expressed my annoyance to the clerk when asked "how are you doing" and how obnoxious I thought it was for EVERY lane to be open except express - and she STILL mindlessly asked me about the round up - all while the bagging guy commented on each piece of food I bought. My family has been members for over 40 years and I am turning in the membership. WORST grocery store experience I've ever had.
Great place!!!
Everything you're missing is in this store..Freshest produce and meat around; it is definitely the "farm to table" go-to place to shop
I love shopping at Co Op stores when I come here on travel. Its like a less pretentious whole foods. Great variety of unique items compared to where I normally shop. Friendly staff and great coffee bar. Prices are moderate, so it could hurt your wallet if you're on a tight family budget. #travelformortals
Great little find in the middle of nowhere. They have a really great cheese and charcuterie selection.
It's a wonderful store. It's just a whole lot harder to navigate and chaotic-feeling inside than most photos show. Shift change at DHMC can be insane in here, be advised.
They seem to have a little bit of everything here. Decent size store. They even sell wine here! I'm from Maryland so we have liquor stores and no alcohol is sold in grocery stores in most the state. Very friendly staff and the check out line is very quick. They had quite a few people working them. Oh and about the wine, I found a couple bottles that I have been trying to get and they have them. I tried one already and really enjoyed it! I may just have to make another stop before I leave.
Great Co-op with good selection and nice staff - everyone is very helpful and will go out of their way to show you where something is located. I love their monthly member discounts and their prices are always pretty good. Excellent produce!
I am a night nurse at DHMC. I work Friday, Saturday, Sunday night's. I cringe when I hear DHART flying in on my way to work. Your Hot food section looks dehydrated. Your cafe is Not open for coffee. We are your neighbors. We drop a bit of money your way. Illness does stop at 5 pm Friday
Amazing amounts of various organic products, beautiful produce, etc. The deli's fabulous. There is a place to eat indoors too. Top notch.
High quality groceries. Today we found hot peppers from a 21 mile away farm.
Love going there everyone I am in town. The selection is wonderful and I can find hard to get items there.
Love the selection here. Everything you need from flowers, dinner, artisan breads, natural lotions, soaps etc. Also have a great selection of beers here.
I loved it because you can find anything you need and there are really nice people there
Very expensive, and the employees are somewhat grumpy. Something feels off here.
A great variety of "healthy" and non-healthy food at reasonable prices. A fun little store!
Very nice selection and quality but not a bargain. Very good fish and meat.
This Co-op has a great variety of products, local and otherwise, however the prices can be a bit high unless they're having a sale. If it isn't something locally made, I rarely buy it at this store (usually online) and was even recommended to look online for one thing that their distributor no longer stocks them with. I mainly only go in there for Hi-Land Farm Goat Cheese. The Dessert Cheese and other fruited options of this goat cheese are amazing!
I was very surprised to find so many people waiting to check out. More than 30 people were waiting to pay for their puchases. There were only 4 registers open and a bagger at each one. I Was told that it was their busiest time of day I debated whether or not I really needed my few items. It's a great store but if you fall down at the end by making people stand in line for 30 minutes to pay it's a fail.
An unbelievable great food store offering everything your heart could possible desire, from fresh produce, farm fresh variety of meats, a decent variety of cheeses and all the other staples for your kitchen and pantry.
I like the selection at the coop food stores. I do feel there should be more help in the check out lanes especially around 5pm.
How can you not love the coop? Truly local products at competitive prices. They support the community in so many ways. Via local farmers, employees, volunteering, and raising money and food for local nonprofits. We are so fortunate to have the Hanover coops in the Upper Valley. Oh and you don’t need a membership to shop!
Great for specialty foods
Wonderful healthy food but pricey
There's one in White River Junction VT, too. I'd love to have one closer to me.
Great store with wide selection of produce, including specialty cheese, bread, patte and more. Love it
Everything about this place is great
Good variety of natural and other foods, also prepared dishes cafe style
I really wanted to love this place.. but just couldn't. Was excited to visit this co-op since I moved away from the old one I used to go to. More like an expensive grocery store than a co-op. Over priced organic produce where most isn't even from local farms... And why even have/sell conventional produce.. this is a co-op! They even sell name brand like coca cola company products, and tons of gmo products. Absolutely no vegan options in the prepared food besides salads.... The only thing that I enjoyed was the tofu selection, seitan selection, and cruelty free cosmetics. I won't be shopping here again unfortunately.
We love these coops and frequently visit all of them. Great products available. I do have to say that some of the staff in the deli at the Lebanon location is a bit abrasive ..definitely lacking traditional customer service etiquette. A rude "whats up" is not what i'm looking for when I call or approach a deli counter and yelling to employees as they walk by is uncool.
Loved it
Typical yuppie hippie grocery store lol like whole foods overpriced for everything BUT hey if you need anything organic etc they got it no prob:)
Fabulous
Best pork pot stickers
Often, if an ingredient is difficult to find, or obscure, this is the place to find it. Prices can be a bit higher, but overall staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
Great food, lots of local options, huge variety of international and out of ordinary ingredients. Great spectrum of organic and non organic produce and products. Huge amount of bulk options. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Quality produce, cheeses, meats, prepared foods, classes but terribly stingy, to the point of being asinine, about bags. Prices high so buy rare or high quality stuff. Once in a while rare spices if you need them now but ridiculously high prices - go mail order or local markets, Ocean Job Lots better for spices, oils, pasta ... Etc.
A bit overpriced but the Hanover stores have a captive audience in that they are the closest market to Dartmouth.
Very nice place
Terrific selection. Helpful staff.
Large variety of fresh homemade foods for on the go in the cafe part. Makes the Co-op GOTO for healthy tasty quick meals! The staff are all so friendly and happy to help you get what you need!
Good collection of organic and local products .. courteous staff .. sufficient parking space
Great
Many many vegan/cruelty free options AND the staff, most attentive!
I found the prices to be very high. It was a clean store and products were of high quality and many local sources.
I work here but it's a better store then the others around here. If you're looking for something obscure or unusual there's a good chance we have it or we can get it
good selection+hours / average co-op prices
Long inefficient checkout lines. High prices for the quality of food.
Coop in Lebanon is always a great visit! Everyone is super friendly and helpful!
Good selection of food and adult beverages.
Expensive but has some stuff you can't find else where.
Good selection but a bit pricey for some things.
Nice people and good choices. The cookies in the bakery are delicious.
Nice flowers but some of the produce was iffy not inexpensive as far as grocery stores go
Best place in the UV for produce, meat, seafood, and anything organic.
This is the largest of the bunch and it's your Wholefoods local equivalent in the Upper Valley. It has all your organic cravings covered from loose, grind-yourself coffee to organic serve-yourself kombucha by the grouler to lose seeds, nuts, etc to a large variety of high quality wines and craft beer. Their meat and cheese sections are also very good. This location also boasts a cafe with prepared food items along with your favorite beverages. There is ample indoor seating for the cafe and also free WiFi.
Terrific bakery, great choice of organic produce, cheese, wine, flowers.
Caters to the wealthy, therefore the staff is very helpful. The products are realitivly high priced yet compared to competition higher quality. Lebanon wiping Dartmouth's brow.
Awesome.place
I resent this intrusion into my privacy!
Thick, hot carrot-ginger soup & spinach salad at the deli. Good stuff!
High quality food, but expensive. Has one of my favorites that you can't find anywhere else, Cheshire cheese.
Helpful Florist!
recommendations. Nice place to shop for whole foods, organic foods, some specialty foods. As well as regular foods. They have lovely plants and flowers. Overall great shopping experience. Be prepared to spend more here than at a regular supermarket. It is worth it!
I have to go down to three stars. The place is never clean, and the lines get really, really bad (like, three lines 10-15 back and people up the line will let others cut if they "don't have a lot of items"). Then, the store will open up a new register and not announce it to people who are waiting, and just let people who haven't been waiting walk up. Horrible crowd control and it's so frustrating when people cut lines. Since when is that ok in a 15 person line?! The lines will be huge and you'll have 2 people sitting at the customer service desk not offering to ring anyone. The cafeteria food is really, really good and they are conscious of food safety. The cafeteria is the only reason I keep coming here. Old review - (I love the food selection here. It gets busy, but I feel like I never have to wait long. However my husband says that it gets crazy busy everyday around 4:30 (express line gets backed up sometimes to about 15-20 people, woah). I really like their deli and pre prepped food. And they have a cafeteria to sit in that's rarely crowded. I had to downgrade this review to four stars because their extra cafeteria area is so gross. The microwave is seriously nasty - it smells and has dried, exploded food all over the inside. I don't even like touching the flipper things for the trash cans because they always have caked on trash splatter.) There is one clerk in particular that is hilariously rude to my husband every time he asks her a question. Can't knock it too much though because we keep going back!
Good selection, very pricey. Pushy noxious customers
Pretty expensive.
Great place.......... clean, friendly staff & great choices.
WAY overpriced supermarket sized health food store with organic this and that, eat in deli, fancy cheese counter and large wine selection. I shop here sometimes when I have no other options.
Good food, bit overpriced.
Great selection, good prices, friendly staff and it's a non-profit, so you know the money is staying in the community.
Great products
This is much like the one in Hanover except quite a bit bigger with more selection. Prices are altogether similar. It’s not cheaper but the produce and meats are terrific and everything else is pretty good too, and you can get just about anything you want.
Coop cooking classes with Lindsay, excellent!
Love the local options for as much as possible! The pricing is high for students or young professionals if doing all of your weekly/monthly grocery shopping, but awesome for select items only carried here! Thank you for the list of allergens in EVERYTHING!
Really good but really expensive compared to the other grocery stores in the area.
A great bulk food section
Always friendly people, both the staff and patrons.
Nice friendly staff, clean place, overall plus
Good, but very expensive fruit.
What can I say, it's the Coop. While the variety of products is very good, I truly appreciate the quality. You can get excellent salumi/charcuterie in the deli, the absolute best meats cut exactly right, the freshest seafood and a boggling array of cheeses. Also, the produce is too notch. The icing on the cake is a strong focus in locally sourced foods. But there's more! Lindsey Smith and a variety of engaging instructors lead wonderful cooking classes at the Coop Learning Center. Definitely worth checking out.
Always a highlight of our visits to the area. Nice produce and meats and a great selection of chips, cbeese, wine and household products. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Best meat counter
Love this store
