These are straw and sawdust grown mushrooms. While they may be pretty and taste ok, they have no where near the taste, nutrition, or medicinal benefits of log grown mushrooms. For my money, I buy log grown.

This is a passionate Nebraska business. Offering the freshest gourmet and medicinal mushrooms available. Ash Gordon might try to convince you and everybody else to grown your own mushrooms and might offer an inexpensive home mushroom kit. Several varieties are grown here. This operation uses cuttings instead of spores,cuttings being more predictable. Medicinal mushrooms are part of the mix. I was here as part of SHARE YOUR STORY - AGRI/ECO-TOURISM Workshop. It was my pleasure to taste his products twice the small shiitake and more on a local restaurateur Brent Lindner. pizza.
