Only two stars after a visit Friday night. It was around 9:30 in the evening and my wife and I decided to get some groceries. With two kids we filled the Cart with groceries not realising that someone decided that having an actual checker would cost too much money so off to the self checkout lanes...ridiculous experience as the lines grew behind us as we feverishly tried to hurry through only to be prompted promoted by a computer animated voice telling us to not take our groceries out of the bagging area! Then there was waiting for staff to clear the codes so we could proceed with scanning our purchases, sorry Bakers, but you have come so far from that beloved store on North 90th Street where we would go as kids and enjoy an overflowing chocolate malt while our mothers got groceries...and your produce is second rate compared to fresh thyme in cost and quality. Strike one!

Baker's is the WORST grocery store in the area. Disorganized, poorly marked merchandise. Had a discrepancy with a price when the product rang up wrong and the RUDE semi- manager, who was all of 23 years or so, refused to use the price marked on the product. After trying to explain to her about the sticker, she quite abruptly tossed the product to me and said she took a dollar off then stormed off. No apologies, no professional conduct. Many employees are just like her. Baker's used to be the " people pleasers ".... those days are long gone. Horrible customer service is why Kroger Brand stock is quickly tumbling and most likely will be a distant memory. I'll shop at Hy-Vee....they are wonderful!

Always friendly and helpful. Big hearts and a great example of how EVERYONE can contribute. I have been to quite a few Baker's locations and am impressed at the amount of inclusion at this chain, and this location, specifically. Many disabled employees who are always smiling and helping. The discounts on gas are pretty nice, too. Great location!

Decent grocery store, good place to stop on the way to work. Their store-brand pop is usually around $2.97 for four two-liter bottles, and they have a knock-off of Diet Mountain Dew Code Red that I like, especially since it's harder to find the real thing.

This a newer Baker's with just about everything you could need in a shopping trip. Inside the store is a U.S. Bank branch, pharmacy, floral department, and a little spot by the deli to buy some lunch and sit down. I am usually in and out; not a ton of time spent in the check-out line. There is also a small gas station outside where you can use your Baker's card for a minimum of 2 cents off per gallon.

I say this because the deli staff there were so friendly that Walmart no longer earns my business. They cut my meat like I asked and didn't get all but hurt about it. They came from behind the counter and helped me locate items I was looking for. Then another employee in the butcher dept. was professional when I asked him to slice my pork tenderloin into 1" cubes. Now that's what great employees deserve is props when they go above and beyong5 there duty. Soon keep up the great work. Just seen you r open until 12am. On my way in.

Really love the salad bar. I bumped down to 3 stars because the pieces of baked chicken are getting smaller and smaller. The thigh that I purchased today looked like it came from a Rock Cornish Hen...and I'm not kidding. I would be willing to pay more for a decent sized piece of chicken. Other than that, it's a great store.

The produce and fruit here always looks fantastic and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of seafood at better prices than most of the area Hy-Vee's, butcher counter is pretty great too. I find their cheese counter to be lacking a bit of the selection I'd like to see. Needs more in the way of soft cheeses.

I have been waddling around the baker store since the first one open in Bellevue approximately 75 years ago and I raised 7 kids on the Bakers at 72nd and Blondo and I've always shopped at Baker's I need one of there by HyVee I shopped at Bakers but I have stop shopping at Bakers because they don't think I am worthy of having an ad I do my shopping at Walmart because I happen to be there more than anywhere so why make a special trip to Bakers when they may not have what I want. They don't care about me I don't care about them

I had a hard find somewhere to order a large amount of fried chicken for the 4th of July. My granddaughter suggested Bakers at Lakeside. They had no problem accommodating my request. Not only was the chicken ready at the exact time I requested it was delicious. It was cooked all the way through and no red whatsoever. The staff was so nice and polite. I will order my fried chicken from Bakers. Bakers has my business. Thank you!

I waited at the window for the woman working she finally gets back behind the window another woman came up behind me “DONNA “ a bakers employee told me, can u move so I can help her “ she was here first “ mind you I was already standing at the window waiting to be helped on. Normally we are very happy with this Bakers but this morning we were incredibly displeased! 630 to 7 o'clock in the morning and they had it no cashiers! The only thing open was their self check. Which bakers has the most temperamental self check that I have used in a long time! Self checks are for quick purchases! Not full cartloads of $100 worth of groceries!!! Why Baker's, do you not think people can grocery shop at 7 o'clock in the morning?!?
