Prices are decent depending of course on the item. My BIGGEST ISSUE is when the store manager puts the ELDERLY EMPLOYEES on regular lines instead of the express line! At least it will be better for them and the customer. Aka faster service!!!!!!!!

For a very busy store it is not very modern. The deli is nothing like the ones at most ShopRites. They have a sign saying that they wear hats and gloves for our safety yet they touch everything with the gloves on and I watched for at least 6 customers and they did not change gloves once. The people of North Bergen deserve a world class ShopRite. Major make over long over due. Please hit like if you liked my review Thanx

Good sales and pretty clean for the most part. I feel like they need to close down and remodel the whole place as it is a little outdated. The main thing they need to change is the people they hire. A bunch of snobby teenagers that are on their phone or taking to the other cashiers about inside jokes all the time. They don't say hello, please, thank you, have a great day,..ect. The older cashiers are always super sweet but for the most part you'll end up leaving the market annoyed.

My go to store in the area, but have been growing more and more frustrated with the lack of vegan foods available. I frequently visit other shoprites in the area and they have more options (i.e. Paramus). I still prefer shoprite over Acme for local shopping.

Shop Rite in Columbia Park have a huge selection of a variety of cultural and your basic groceries. They also have vegan ingredients for the vegan in your family. Grab the flyer and check out what's on sale. They do have some good deals. I usually get my meats there due to the quality and value. So next time your grocery shopping drop on by. There's plenty of parking.

I love this ShopRite because the customer service and my favorite cashier Joy are extremely patient and helpful no matter what my issues. They take the time to resolve them and I always leave them more than satisfied. I'm always happy to go shopping there. The only thing I miss is the dietician Mike. He was the best, I hope he comes back. I'd lose weight while he was there but I've gained again. I'd just begun when he had to go for personal reasons. I miss working with him it was working wonderfully. I will hv to try another ShopRite for this service I guess but if he returns I will be right there. Thanks ShopRite for being a great place to shop and get healthy. Ena

This is a nice, big store. It's well stocked, and Shop-Rite's prices are always highly competitive. The place is always teeming with staff, but no matter how many registers are open, it's just not cutting it. This is one of the world's densest population centers- this store should be open 24 hours, and hire more cashiers!! Beyond that my only gripe is the "quien es mas macho" driving in the parking lot, but that's the local culture, not the store. North Bergen needs beat cops out there handing out speeding & reckless driving tickets.

Very disappointing to see all registers closed but two registers. The 3 express lanes open,, with very little guests on August at all. So I asked an employee what all the registers were closed and she said let me direct you to the floor manager who was the young hispanic lady. So she spoke to me and ask a couple young ladies to open the registers who then were able to take care of the guests you know that were waiting with me. I didn't understand the theory of express lane especially the business was very slow at the time the stool looked pretty much empty and the registers on the express lanes were just not occupied people are just hanging out another was the employees were not allowed to help the other guests when they didn't have guests at their registers. I didn't understand the theory but I was appreciative of the manager asking the two young ladies to open the registers and take care of the guests that were waiting too long on the registers. I thought the customer service was horrible at the beginning when we walked onto the registers and the employees say they did not want to be fired because they allowed a guest to go into the express lane.

Produce section is big, but is made up of mostly apples and oranges. Bananas are always green. Walgreens has a much better produce section. More fruit, berries, nuts, etc. Deli department had my wife and I waiting at least 30 mins. for 1 1/2 lbs of roast beef and muenster. Very slow and lazy employees with the exception of one young bearded gentleman who was pulling most of the weight for the team. They honestly didn't care that they had over 20 people waiting. This shoprite has so much potential, too bad management can't do their jobs correctly. Shoprite in passaic is all around better with far less resources.

Not a great grocery store by any means, but it gets the job done. ShopRite brand foods are decent. Produce selection is good, albeit over-priced. App offers coupons; worth getting a ShopRite card for discounts. Long lines on the weekend - prepare for a wait.

Just have to keep an eye on your prices. It's not expensive here but Walmart (Just right down the street) may be very well worth going to depending on what you're buying. Meats were well presented. Vegetables well presented but the same vegetables may be much cheaper at City Fresh(just nearby).

This is a very large, decent Shop Rite. It offers a very good variety of options, tons of parking and is close to buses. I frequently shop there, because it's close and convenient. However, if I have the time, I prefer the Shop Rite in Hoboken, as it offers a greater selection, including many more Organic products. The stores are about two miles apart. There have been many times when the Columbia Park store did not carry what the Hoboken store regularly has in stock. Lots of parking available at this store too as well as a Light Rail station stop about two blocks away.

Their meat always smells especially the chicken. When they put their chicken on sale be careful because it's old! This is the only Shoprite that I have been to that is this way. I have traveled to Shoprite's all the way down to Wildwood, NJand they are not like this.

Dirty... And there's tons of evidence of rats and vermin. I purchased a box of ramen soup from here once and when we got home, we noticed holes where mice were boring into the packages and eating it. Also, we noticed in the store, that there was a loaf of bread with a bore hole taken out of it buy mice or rats. Also, I tweeted photos of some beef sticks that they had by the meat section which were spoiled and gray. And if you look at the chicken packets, make sure you turn them upside down so that you can see how much slime they have. Eventually, don't go through their chicken section and clean it up. But probably only after somebody dies from eating their chicken. Today, I only went in to buy a box of envelopes and some batteries. I don't buy food from this ShopRite anymore. Go elsewhere... Hoboken ShopRite is much cleaner, much more organized, and has fresher foods.

Ordered platters of sausage and peppers, eggplant rollatini, roast chicken, roasted vegetables, and mozzarella sticks from their catering menu. The platter of eggplant was NOT rollatini and badly dried out. The sausage and peppers were ridiculously salty. The mozzarella sticks and vegetables had ZERO taste. Only the chicken was passable as edible food. I felt like I was eating days-old food from a school cafeteria.

I just went 2 minutes ago to shop rite, I brought my scooter and I approached to one of the supervisors (a woman who’s was checking one of the cashiers) I said hi you doing to her but she doesn’t even said anything and gave me her back, such a disrespectful girl and worse been a supervisor. I know that some days could be stressful but if you are not able to deal with that you should definitely look for another job. I told her thank you for nothing and I walked away from there. She is a tall, blond and with big glasses. So hey Supervisor: go and get a customer service course or look for another job and let other people that have more service than you, do your job, and you stay away from people that may ask for help, once again thanks for nothing. ( I was going to ask her if was ok to put my scooter close to the cashiers)
