Hamburgers are great, milkshakes are even better. Great back porch type atmosphere with friendly staff. Wait is a bit long at times but the taste makes up for it. Tomatoes are always fresh and very tasty!!! Lots of fresh produce to choose from as well. Just wish the dining area was bigger.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and BLTs with fried yams! Tea was great. They have other items, farm and garden stand, very friendly, where the locals eat. The only reason for 4 stars was the price. A little pricey but overall very good.

Food was good. Delicious and tasted homemade too. Had some fried green tomatoes, and they tasted absolutely amazing! Then I ate the southern fried catfish with fried okra and it is good. Recommend for any curious tourists or individuals craving for real Southern cuisine.

The fried green tomato BLT is an ecstatic experience. We also grabbed a quart bag of boiled peanuts for the road. This is a wonderful place, well worth the five minute detour from I-20 at the Mississippi River bridge.

Highly recommend the fried green tomato BLT! Friendly staff and funky vibe to this roadside gem. Also, it's an outdoor cafe in sultry Mississippi, so you're gonna want to cool off with one of their amazing slushes - they have a huge variety (some just fruit, some with coffee, some with yogurt) and they are all fresh and cold and delicious!

Drove literally 100+ miles from Florida to get just boiled peanuts and they had them. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to also be enjoying their food. They have great prices on their produce and I can't say more nice things about them! Can't reccomend them enough! Thanks for helping this Texan out.

Absolutely outstanding! Visiting the Tomato Place is like a trip to the past. Sure, there's no air conditioning so if you visit in the summer it might be a good idea to get your food to go, but the atmosphere is super cozy and quaint otherwise! Their hamburgers are flavorful, juicy, large, and arguably the best in Vicksburg. The BLTs are better than ANY I've ever tried. Their fries and sweet potato fries were terrific, and their slushes are loaded with real fruit and are super refreshing! Prices for everything ranged from very affordable and inexpensive to a little less than average. I would definitely encourage anyone to take some time and try this place! Also, they have breads and produce for sale that are excellent quality and reasonably priced as well!

This place is really one of those hole in the wall type places. It is a fruit/vegetable stand, with a menu of items to choose from to eat, on the side of the road. It's quirky and my husband thought i was crazy for suggesting it but several had reviewed it as the best bacon sandwich they had in years so we stopped. It was WELL worth the time to stop! Truly the best BLT I have had in years! Homegrown tomatoes and all! Stop in and see for yourself

We stopped in the beginning of June, 2018, after returning from Yellowstone Nat’l Pk. My husband was skeptical at first until he ate their BLT! My 66 y/o New Orleanian husband said it was the best BLT he had in his life! No joke. We bought their tomatoes, now I wish we hadn’t shared so many with family!

Cute and quaint place to wat and get fresh local produce. Extremely nice people and definitely a place to go for any road trip. The food is authentic and very good tasting. Easy going, slow and smell the roses kind of place. Really good fresh and blended in front of you smoothies. Definitely a place to go when visiting Mississippi.

Home style cooking in home style buildings. Yep, the kitchen is in a small building next to the small building where you eat, with lots of southern backwoods style in between. The food is great southern dishes, including six different styles of BLTs. Next time I'm going to try the poboy catfish or salmon. Additionally, they've got their own sauces for sale!

This is a do not miss kinda stop. Homegrown southern food with a "think local" mantra that delivers a fresh, spectacular fare worthy of going out of your way for. Had the pleasure of stopping by here on a road trip and am only disappointed my stomach couldn't fit more. While you're there, get a fruit smoothie or fresh squeezed lemonade, or just stop in for a snack for the road from their produce market - though I must suggest coming in to eat, their service is just as wonderful as their delicious one of a kind food.

Came to a sliding stop in the gravel from 70mph to eat one of the absolute freshest, tasty sandwiches I've every put in my mouth (Anna Melt)! The sides are awesome..... Mac and cheese just like your Grandma used to make, fried yams, steamed corn on the cob, and fresh tomatoes that make me want to slap myself! All fresh, all some of the best ever. It is certainly off the beaten path but you will not be disappointed!

I would like to have given this a 3.5 rating.it's small. I need very small. But it is a local place the food is excellent. I ordered French toast but they were out of sausage. After having eaten the bacon I have to say it definitely hit the spot. They have cold boiled peanuts. They have watermelon squash cucumbers tomatoes all kinds of things. so if you're looking for a local place who carries everything that you would ever want go ahead and stop in. The prices were very affordable in my opinion as well.

This is the type of local place that was a hidden gem until Google maps and review came along. It simply does not have the space or personnel to meet the current demand. And if it grew to meet the current demand it would lose any remaining charm. Parking, seating and timeliness of the food are all a challenge. The local specialty is the tomatoes. With the customer favorite being the BLT. When you order specify the type of bread you want and if you wanted toasted. If you do not ask you will get untoasted white bread. I got the BLT Club with no side. It was too much to eat. I would have liked it better on toast. The location is convenient, just 3 mile south of I-20 on 62. Very east to get to. I might go back if I am in vicksburg, however there are many other great restaurant in town. Unfortunately many are not open on Sundays. That is what brought me here in the first place. It was open on Sundays with good reviews.

This is such an amazing place, and if you are in Vicksburg you have to stop by. Right away you are greeted by a friendly staff and walked through the menu and smoothies. We sat outside and were surrounded by beautiful seasonal plants and flowers. The colors a decor really make this place! The food was great, we ordered 2 sandwiches, and got smoothies to go.
