As if giving a poor rating would actually affect their service as a supermarket. There are never enough cashiers and their countermeasures for security could be better quality. But when would there ever be an oriental supermarket with outstanding service?

The building feels like a repurposed Rainbow Foods and some of the pricing is unclear. Even so... I love their selection and their prices are fair and on the cheaper side for Asian food. I still like going there for restocking food items that are harder to find in American grocery stores but over all I feel it feels a little depressing.

Cashier very rude, opened my bagged product touched all of them. When asked she gave no reason why. Employee at seafood stand was really rude and unprofessional. I waited more then 15 mins then asked if he can help me and he pointed to another person that is walking to him and stated to me that the other person was first before me. They carry nost Hispanic to Asian and other ethnicities food items. They have varieties of candies and snacks that I always ate as a child (Hmong cultured) and drinks. They do have a liquor store next door for the thirsty people. Right as you enter the doors, there's s variety set of fresh produce from different countries and then a fresh deli area too. They sell seafood to meats and some household supplies. They have a variety of frozen food items and an entire row devoted to noodles. The lines are sometimes too long from their business and lack of staffing.

This place is awesome! It's like going into a different country. They have everything that a normal grocery store has, but more. From produce, meats, dry goods, and kitchenware. There brisket, goat, and chicken is reasonably priced. They mostly focus on their seafood selections. Be careful, some of their items are expired!!

This is an amazing store! With a lot of international food from Asia, Africa, India and Latin America. They have their own little cafe where you can buy pho soup and crawfish. They can make you a fresh spring rolls, rotisserie chicken and roast duck.

Prices ring higher on register than the prices on the shelves for most items. Check your receipt carefully because if you do not, you will end up with an expense receipt. I have followed and have kept all receipts from all stores from the last four years to compare price on the shelves against price on the receipt. Will soon post the stores and their receipts on line.

Bad customer service, no one knows where anything is, messy, smelly and never enough ppl working the cash register! 90% of the time I never can find what I’m looking for and no one stocking the shelves could ever help me bc they don’t even speak enough English to understand what I’m looking for. I wouldn’t even come here if the smaller Asian store across the street didn’t close. Much rather take the extra few minutes to go to Golden Lion. Even though they are smaller they have better service and always have everything I’m looking for. Don’t be fooled by a BIG store like Dragon...it just means more chaos and less ppl working! Hate this place. Would give it No stars if there was an option.

Vietnamese Food Review Only: Best value pho that you can get here. For $8, you get a giant bowl of pho with whatever ingredients you want to put in there. Very fresh! Tip is not included, so you should bring some cash with you as the gal making the pho for you is very nice. Only problem is that they only serve pho Fridays - Sundays.

Usually very busy anydays. The checkout lines are always so long. Ive noticed that going at 7-8pm at night is the best time. I dont recommend buying the meat unless you're cooking them the same night. The meat there are near or expired mostly. The produce is good if you go on the right days only. They dont change produce daily.

I come here with my wife, and the layout and variety of food is good. We can usually find what we need here. I can only give it 3 stars because of the customer service. Even at peak times on the weekend when it's the busiest, you'll rarely find more than 2 or 3 checkout lanes open, and the wait time to check out can reach 20 minutes at times. I have no idea why they don't have more lanes open at busy times. Also if you need help, you'll rarely find it. There's never a manager in sight, and if you ask one of the workers for help, good luck. I will give this place a better rating once their customer service improves. Until then, it gets 3 stars.

Was extremely impressed with the incredible amount of variety here! By far the biggest Asian market I've ever been to. If you need a hard to find ingredient for an Asian recipe, you WILL find it here! Fantastic made to order Bahn Mi and very good pho restaurant too. Only drawback was the backup at the checkout lines. It can get busy but, well worth the trip!

*****TRUCK DRIVERS***** Take east entrance and make a right and then follow into the back. The docks are on the far west side of the building. If possible back into the inner dock near the driver entrance door. Restrooms are in the front of the store and there is no lumper. Park in dock for overnight sleep.

A bizarre dive into a world market in Brooklyn Center. The deli is why I come here. Great selection of foods using spices and ingredients that I have no idea about but taste great. I'd like to think that he seafood is NOT from the questionable seafood counter but I'm probably wrong. Again, it tastes great tho... Also great selection of foriegn kitchen goods and produce, canned and other things.

One of the best Asian markets in the Twin Cities. This is a large store with variety and selection. Exotic fruits and veggies and good prices. I ate at their deli and had a good experience. Lots of foods to try. The meat Dept. has the cheapest price I've ever seen on ground beef. At one point it was $1.50 per pound! And that was 75% lean or higher... Other cuts of pork, beef and chicken were a similar value. Maybe I should keep my mouth shut but the secrets out now. Yeah the front checkout lines can be a pain but it's not the end of the world if you have the time. (-minus one star) for slow service. That being said, I still look forward to my next visit.

The shopping carts need replacement as most of it are in bad condition . Good selection Asian deli products. From Fried fish to tricolor desert you will find it here. A good selection of seafood as well. If you look for Asian foods more than likely you will find it here. Just don't expect American grocery store style experience. Employee will help you the best they can.

Cashiers are not knowledgeable on the items they're scanning. Scanning extra items and entering wrong produce codes which doesn't match and will cost you more unless you know the price and correct them. Horrible deli service as well.

Found they carry jackfruit at .99 lbs. I also recommend checking out their fresh mushrooms. Bought 2 new (for me) soup bases. These were about a couple bucks each. I was able to use less than recommended. All these fresh,small bokchoy came to .33 cents. Good place to try new things.

The store had quite the selection of different ethnic foods. It was pretty cool to see such a wide variety of drinks and snacks, among other things. I noticed a lot of fruit flies around the produce. I've never seen them in regular supermarkets so I don't know if that's normal, or if that just speaks for the freshness/organic of it. A lot of neat stuff to say the least! And older things I thought were discontinued!

Probably the most extensive asian market I have ever been to. All the food looked awesome. Although alot of the live blue crabs seemed dead (the only negative). They had a great fresh produce market outside, which is the only place I've seen that has fresh squash blossoms! I wish I lived in the area so I could come back often.

Please always check your receipt and know how much your produces cost, otherwise you be paying double, triple...Store owner need to train cashiers and please be fair on charging customers. Also a lot of produces are old, rotten and still selling. They need remove from shelves.

Good selection of international food, but understaffed. Anytime I've been to Dragon Star, there's never enough cashiers. They have about 7-8 cash registers and only about 3 max are ever used. Expect to wait a long while to checkout if you go shop there during the prime hours. The selection of international food is solid, but the line to check out is horrible.

Full of surprises! Item shows once price, once you get up to cashier and rings up higher. Always gotta be aware of your prices or they'll scam you of your money. This issue is due to negligence in price adjusting. Very poor customer service. Dont ask the employees for help, because they don't speak English and try to avoid you. Especially in the"fresh" food area. No help at all. People still shop here, because they are the main Asian grocery store in the area. If that wasn't the case, they'd be out of business.

Dragon Star Supermarket is a grocery store that I enjoy visiting even though it isn't located near me. I was thrilled when I first discovered Dragon Star Supermarket and I bought several tasty lunch meals to refrigerate and reheat at home. I often add a little water and sauce to the rice when I am reheating the lunch meal. I have slowly been becoming more familiar with the other food options available. I would reccommend several visits to Dragon Star Supermarket to learn of all the variety available.

I went to the store many many times. Today, it was the first time I encountered a misproper cashier. I had many groceries on the counter, and I was busy to bag them. 2 customers came behind me. The cashier helped them to bag the items they bought, but she did not help me. I asked her for some help since I had a hard time to open the plastic bag. I wanted to finish it quickly. She refused to help. She handed the plastic bag to other employee and told me that she is busy with the next customer. She was helping 2 customers behind me, for God sake!! I was appalled by her behavior. Should the store teaches their employees how to treat customers better?
