I almost want to give this place a 5 but the parking was not desireable, but once you are inside its beautiful!!! The store is exciting with a Deli, Hot Food, Sushi Bar, Coffee bar and Ice Cream Sundae counter. Its got all of my regular shopping items and brands. Roast Beef Ramen Noodles.... adorable cupcakes for Office Birthdays, deli sandwiches and Deli chicken! Weekends near the falls just got 10X Happy!

Over priced at more than 55 percent. Not Going back to my local convenience store when I want to spend over $60 on 3/4 of a bag of groceries.. However the meat was only 20% over priced. I hope not to be disappointed by the quality because I got less for more. For example 3 quarts of Icecream for 6.99. I get 5 quarts for 4.99 at the store I go to regularly. Thats $1.75 a quart vs $1.00 a quart. The icecream from Cub Foods is no better than the Icecream from my regular store. They don't bag your groceries at either store. But the savings is passed on to me at my regular store. When I told the cashier about the high prices he was flip about it. I mentioned the other store and he said he didn't trust the quality of the food at that store. I can easily say the quality of food from my store is fine. And there is a quality guarantee at my regular store. The selections at Cub are excessive making shopping take too long. At my regular store there are less selections but the choices that are availble are fine. I'm a baby boomer who considers home economics essential; with a limited income.

Store has an intuitive layout for the most part, and they have good deals from time to time. Signing up for their rewards program automatically applies occasional discounts in their ads, so I would recommend doing that if you're planning on shopping here.

This Cub (maybe all Cubs now) has resorted to a pricing structure that uses combinations of membership cards and cross-aisle item multiple quotas for discounts that can be described as "intentionally confusing" at best. At best. I have no idea how to activate some of their deals, and then if I go over by one on a quota discount it wipes out my entire savings because the base prices on the sale products are jacked up to nearly 200% of MSRP in some cases. May this Cub's death by Hy-Vee be swift and soon.

The Pharmacist actually paid for my prescription herself, when I couldn't afford the medication. But... this is an inner-city Cub. Not as nice as their suburban stores. Located in a very tough neighborhood, with many transient/homeless people. A recent murder at the store exit doors is not unexpected, but may have been prevented if security personnel had been in place to deal with the mentally unstable perpetrator.

Lol. So many of these reviews seem like out of towners masquerading as "mpls guides." It's a cub foods that gets a lot of foot traffic. It could be cleaner but again, so much foot traffic. I try to walk here in the morning when it's far easier to shop. Oh... long lines at a lake street grocery store after 4pm? You gotta be kidding me people. Where do you come from? Their bakery and deli sections are decent. Actually, the bakery is quite good. The biggest problem with this location is that they don't stock Tempeh. Why why why??

I've been shopping here for more than a decade, i know almost all night shift employee by name, most of them workin there for long years, for almost a year and half I witnessed problems with an employee name Jodi cruising at customers of individual race the store should do something bout this, the majority of customers that shop from there are minority, The store should over vist this problem beofre they loose the daily customer that shop there.

One time, someone picked a fight with me in line. Another time, this lady was yelling at a dude for talking to her kid. Another time, a dude with an AR 15 pointed it at people and ran from the cops. The other day, there was a rap concert in the candy aisle. Also, a Burmese dude got robbed in the parking lot. The robber said someone was watching a car and would shoot him if he didn't give him money. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

The Cub I always use. They change their quick frozen meals section up a lot, so I don't have to eat the same thing over and over, which is nice. And they have the best damn store brand potstickers I've ever eaten. My one complaint is about the bakery- I love frosting, I really do, but the donuts are so damn messy to eat because the only part not slathered in frosting is underneath. You can have too much of a good thing, turns out.

I was doing laundry next door at around 2am and not only was the checker lady nice and friendly but she got me cigarettes from another counter that so happened to actually be in stock! Yes people I smoke American Spirits the DARK BLUE pack which it seems no one seems to carry around here....so again thank you Cub Foods.

This is probably the worst grocery store I've ever been to and we will not be returning. I have no idea why we used to frequent this place. Its always crowded and disheveled. It usually takes 20-30 minutes just to get out of the check-out lane. It kind of feels dirty too. On top of that, their prices are not good at all on the things we buy. Rainbow usually is better priced. Even Seward Co-op is cheaper on some things. This location also has limited organic produce. The one things it has going for it is parking lot access. Its easier to pull in here from the direction we come than getting into Rainbow. But I'll spare the few minutes to go across the street to Rainbow - or more likely I'll take the drive to Trader Joe's.

Biggest complaint is that the refrigerators where the milk is kept is way too warm. One time I bought my usual brand of organic milk and it was spoiled, which I didn't find out until I opened it that day. Sometimes the cartons are wet with milk like they've been sitting in a crate with a puddle. It's hard to find what I want on a Sunday afternoon. I would think the shelves would be stocked. Produce is hit or miss. I like the people who work there. I used to be a cashier, so I know how exhausting it can be when there is a line of twelve customers and people getting angry when you tell them their coupons have expired or can only be used at another store (no Walgreens coupons at Target for example). I don't find anyone "sketchy". It's a multi-cultural area plus there are people from all backgrounds.

As a autistic person: very very busy during the day. Lots of people. But one of the only stores 24 hours right in that area and great for later night or early morning shopping. Avoid during the day with sensory and anxiety issues, shop late!

Some of the white employees may be racist. I was accused of not purchasing an order, even though I did. On another occasion, I was cursed by another employee and dealt with rudeness. As a result I never bought from there again.

Was harrassed by security guard on duty, for trying to ride the handicapped carts after hurting my leg working on my car. Security guard saw me limp into the store and get on the cart, asked me to get off the cart, i told him my knee was hurt. He didn't listen to me, asked to see my medical papers?? I told him i have n medical papers and i was not aware of the fact you had to show medical papers to use a handicapped shopping cart. Tried my best to get his name to file a complaint against him for harassment, as he was clearly being unreasonable. He would not provide me wih his name, nor would any of the other employees, on the overnight manager. This happened today 11/3/2012 @ 4am. All I know of this guy is that he is a bigger bald half black half some other race and about 35 years old.. I will be filing a complaint against him, and possibly pursuing a lawsuit. This is absolutely unacceptable. I was later kicked out of the store, and was followed out to my car where I left.

Surreal. Especially late at night. Still I'm honestly surprised the rating is so low -- and had a lot of fun reading them. If you look at most of the one-star ratings it may have been the person writing the rating who created the problem. Crowded at rush hour, but what grocery store isn't. Some of the cashiers are awesome. Especially Gaylin and all of the folks there early in the morning. Produce section is consistent and the staff there are always helpful if you have a question.

What is there to really say? The place is full of groceries, drinks, fresh stuff, canned stuff, employees and cash registers. I usually do self checkout without any issues. The place is usually jumping so prepare for a wait

I am a visitor to Minneapolis and went into cub foods for a lottery ticket. The clerks were so rude, disrespectful and not helpful. All most retail establishments have to sell is service y impression of this store is that it doesn't matter.... so I won't be back. My kids who live in the area said I had experienced the Cub Foods rude.

It was OK. The problems I encountered were not from the store/employees. I had a problem with the guy ahead of me taking my cart while I was checking out. But the cashier called someone over who brought another cart for me. Thanks for that.

Worst cub foods in the town. I have visited this place for over 2 years but the cashiers have been rude lately. They have very old people working for them who behave very rudely(By the way I love old people). There is an old guy named Rick who misbehaved with us today for saying that an item he charged was overpriced . I told the price was not right and he was just mad at me.He said I could not afford it and all other degrading stuff. Never going to this store again.I have never reviewed any place and I am doing this today for the first time.WORST CUB FOODS in the world. I hated it.

Never a dull moment at this cub.everytime I go there something happens not in a good way .they need a police officer there at all times. also people park in the fire lane all the time along with in the handicap parking without a permit I guess there are just lazy people that don't care about the needs of people that need that parking spot. Would go to another place if can to buy food. Always protect yourself at this cub...

One star because I was hungry and they were open and had food. And the cashier could have been a jerk and he wasn't. Stuff is overpriced and not enough lanes open - At 1am it is packed. There are also no baggers, so not only did I have to wait for 20minutes I had to bag my stuff too... I will not be going back to this store.

I'm writing this review specifically in regards to the Uptown Cub Pharmacy. I never thought I'd say that but the pharmacists there really go above and beyond. They accept prescriptions from my vet and make sure they always have the medications in stock. They have been fantastic and it is so convenient that I can get medications from my grocery store without worrying about whether or not they have it in stock. They remember me when I go in and ask about how my old dog is doing. They are always really fast to fill the prescriptions and let me know when I need new orders.
