This Fruit Store belongs to the category of Produce market.
This place has a farm-like facade but very little of the produce is local. Most veggies seem to be from Canada, California, or Florida - even in the middle of the summer. It’s also crazy crowded and hard to shop.
So many delicious choices! Large selection of cheeses, prepared foods, fresh veggies and fruit, and great baked treats.
Great place
Great place to shop. Produce is nice and fresh, meat is presented nicely. Excellent wire and micro beer selection. Great find. Tibbs
Great selection, pricey, but good quality products. Many selection that cannot be found at a regular market.
Cool place. Good selection, particularly of produce. Good garden section. But... prices range from very good to very high.
Great quality stuff. Pricey but you get what you paid for
Good place for fresh vegetables. Little pricey compared to chain grocery stores. Comparable to whorl goods and Wegmans
Have been away for 3 months. Glad to be home with fresh fruit and veggies
It's a great place to shop. They have everything and it's all fresh.
Quality produce, good prices for the quality, friendly staff.
If you care about top quality meat and produce this is the place for you. Often the prices are similar to the big chain supermarkets but the quality is a world apart.
Good quality food, but expensive.
It's a great market with a lot of unique items...the only problem is the large number of rude customers blocking the already narrow aisles, and refusing to follow even basic rules of how to behave in public. I've been shopping here since the 80s, and the influx of rude people the past few years has greatly tarnished the stores reputation. I know several people who hesitate visiting because of this. Great market, terrible, terrible clientele.
Best organic store in Acton. We like the vegetables there - the organic tomatoes are great. Their fresh corn chicken is great for chicken soup - it is extremely organic and fresh.
Great product , nice fresh meats.
Had only been here during Fall season before but it was just as interesting on a cold winter's day. Great place for fresh veggies with an excellent selection.
Fantastic, well worth the trip for the freshest fruit and vegetables (and now so much more) anywhere in Mass. A true gem.
Very good as grocery stores go, but they truly excel at greenhouse and outdoor plants. Ample variety, healthy stock (local/regional for outdoor), and great prices.
Favorite local grocery store. Awesome fresh food and great baked goods
Nice selection of fresh items but pricey
Idylwilde is our go-to place for freshest fruits & vegetables, great cheese and wine selection , dairy products, quality meat and poultry, flowers ... even firewood. And the atmosphere is friendly and a delight to the eyes.
Great quality produce and good take home pre made meals. Little pricey but for most part worth it.
We can this place the Veggie Wonderland, but it's got a lot more than the most fabulous selection of fruits and vegetables. Baked goods, local meats, fancy deli meats like jamon, fresh squeezed orange juice, cut flowers, plants. It's only drawback is that it is very expensive. Go when you feel like splurging.
Bring your wallet. Not cheap but a fascinating array of produce and upscale gourmet food stuffs. Chocolate, meats, flowers, firewood, cheese, wine, coffee, etc. Always a nice visit.
Great selection, high quality, favorable pricing. Clean and friendly service.
Sad to say because I usually enjoy their prepared foods very much. But when I bought their prepared "Our Own Chicken Salad With Cranberries and Pecans" it truly did not taste homemade. It had cranberries and I believe pecans but the chicken! The chicken was hard cubes from the cans of chicken. - not homemade chicken or even store bought rotisserie chicken, but hard chunks. I would have taken it back but I live 1/2 hour away and it didn't seem worth it. Idylwilde Farm - I'm not saying this to bash you - I'm hoping this will maybe bring your chicken salad up a notch. Thank you.
Idylwilde sells the freshest, best quality produce. Their selection. Of fresh cooked foods, cheeses, beer and wine is one of the beat in the area.
Best bread, cheese, deli and produce. Not cheap but the quality is A1.
Very impressed with the variety of produce, wines, and cheeses. Very clean too!
Nice market with a large selection of produce, cheese, crackers, and cider!
Great produce. Friendly staff. One of my favorite places in my home town.
Idylwilde has a variety of foods. Fresh fruits and veggies, meat, fish and plants. If you want something special this is the place to go near West Acton.
Great source of produce with local options. Nice selection of wine, beer and cheese. Plenty of local specialty products (Sophia's Greek Yogurt!).
Great store with lot of fresh produce and vegetables. Must visit.
i got a tuna sandwich last week ..........it tasted like leftover tuna that was sitting in the fridge for a week. You know how when you make it at home and there is some leftover and you taste it a couple days later and it has an "off" taste? thats how it was......i'm sorry but you cannot sell leftover tuna, you gotta throw it out and make it fresh every day if you are selling sandwiches! yuk
$$$, but worth it. Great produce. Sweets, flowers and large selection of baked goods.
A quintessential farmer's market with good quality produce, prepared food, specialty goods, and seasonal plants. I typically stop by to grab some prepared Thai food for lunch.
I love this place such a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that are so fresh, awesome wine and cheeses along with two deli's . You can find organic meats and vegetables, fruits along with dairy items. The fresh bread and pastries are amazing.
Nice open field views, also the location mountain lion was spotted 6 years ago.
This place overcharges for their produce and everything else.
It's about a 20 minute drive from my house but if I'm in the area or specifically need something I will make it a point to go here. Yes it is more expensive than market basket or hannaford but I have always gotten quality produce. It's good to go and always ripe. The deli meat is the best! Somethings are worth paying more for. Instead of throwing away food from the grocery store because it has no taste or has gone bad to fast spend a few extra dollars and enjoy your food.
Lovely items and very helpful staff. Produce labeled for origin.
This is our all time favorite farm marketplace!
Best of the best of the best.
Great fruit and vegetable farm stand. Also wines and cheese selections.
Idylwilde is the best. Incredible produce, excellent wine and beer selection, all sorts of tasty treats. I am always inspired to cook great things after a visit.
Great selection of the best fruits, vegetables, cheese, and other local goods
Amazing place. Wish we had one near Pittsfield.
Bit over priced
Good selection of vegetables and fruits. Nice premade items.
Great produce and local appeal. Pricey.
Great place for Organic vegetables, cheese and variety of produce. Very helpful staff and fresh veggies. Good selection of Seasonal and International fruits. Also has a decent bakery section and wines. Have a good selection of Pastas and International snacks. Variety of cheeses are more than one can sample. They do keep samples of fruits and cheeses to try. Staff does their own thing and give customers space. Very helpful if you have questions.
I travel over 40 miles to get to this place. I love their fresh string beans and they have the best Maine blue berry pies. Yummy!
Great selection of fresh food. Wonderful bakery section. Really pleasant place to shop
Great produce, flowers, baked goods and so much more.
Always feels great walking into a store that has a direction and has stuck with it throughout their time open. I know a few Imitation stores that have tried to emulate the simplicity and friendly feel of this store and haven't came close. Keep it up!
Very fresh produce and a nice variety to choose from They also sell unique items that you can't find at your local grocery store
Friendly, helpful, warm, welcoming, kind hearted, and knowledgeable staff. Lovely place to buy organic locally grown produce to fulfill all your nutritional needs.
Love the quality and variety of goods. A bit expensive for some things though excellence costs.
My first time there, making a delivery for work. The people are very friendly and helpful, I'm sure I'll be back. And the pumpkin whoopie pies are awesome.
Always fresh. Great variety of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Absolutely wonderful "upscale" farm market ... BUT... as a visitor passing through (from British Columbia, Canada) enroute to (New Brunswick, Canada) some 6000 miles of driving later in an RV, I was looking for the "perfect", absolutely wonderful home-made pizza with local meats, cheeses, and veggies (which I have found at similar farm markets across the USA) and could only find a frozen boxed pizza that obviously wasn't local and I probably could have found at a convenience store attached to a gas station down the road.... BOO-HOO... My taste buds are still "hurting"... Walked out empty handed and ordered a so-so pizza down the road where I camped for the night... let me know if you add this to your wonderful take-out menu and I will be back on my return trip in 6 months!
Great selection. Quality products.
We come every sunday from boston to go shopping there. ..its an UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE. .
Idyllwilde has the best of everything. I've been enjoying the peaches that are so juicy, that they drip down your chin!! Love it. The corn has been excellent.. There is something here for all ages from candied apples to wine for the adults
Good shopping vegetables fruits, and to good food. Pleasant employees. Just cold in side
A nice store. Very pricey. Good food. Adequate Staffing is evident.
Our first time visiting. All staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Amazing produce, so many options.
i like their selection kf vegetables and fruits. their cheese and bread section sre pretty good as well. I like Staff as well. they are kind and gentle. it is kind of pricy but worth it
Walking in to the store surrounded by the vibrant colors of fresh produce in addition to the meats, cheeses, fresh flowers, and the pastries. How could I almost forget the croissants and cookies? The only downside is how crowded the aisles and parking lot can become. To compensate the cashiers are pleasant and efficient.
Awesome place to get Christmas tree. I will never get one anywhere else!
Pricey but worth it for specialty items. Their bakery and cheese selection is wonderful. They also have some decent deals on wine.
Friendly staff. Good produce. Wish they had more choices with beverages and juices.
I really enjoy stopping here after work. I mentally create my dinner based on what's fresh. I count on them having fresh choice mushrooms, today I got shiitakes big enough for me to grill!! The friendly folks make it pleasant too. Be warned, the customers are less polite than you would expect and it can get very busy during the pm commute. Very much worth a visit; check out the fresh things you can find!
Great place to shop
They have just about any fresh fruit and veggie you can imagine year round. They also have many hard to find items that a chef may be searching for.
Great selections of fruit vegetables meats fish everything is top quality pricing is fair
Always excellent produce and a great selection of cheese and meats. It will cost a bit more but worth it if you want the good stuff after the farmers markets are closed for the season.
The best fresh fruit in the state! The fresh squeezed juices are awesome ! Love the cheese and fresh veal. I wish I still lived down the street so I could go there more often!
Greatest farmers market in MA.
Loads of great food. Lots of choices, very healthy options are available. The food is delicious and as fresh as it can be. The bread is often warm from the oven. Very helpful staff too!!
It is expensive!!! Ridiculous. Check out the stickers on the fruit and vegetables if you think they grow it sometimes it's from nowhere close. If you have the money they do have some good products though.
This store is very similar to wilson farms in lexington. They have a large selection of farm grown vegetables and fruit. They also have a full service deli and carry bakery items. Take a walk into the adjacent greenhouse and take time to smell the flowers!
Lots and lots of produce but I had a hard time finding any that was grown at this farm. It was a lot of the same imported produce I can find at Market Basket but for a lot more money. There was an incredible variety of grocery items that I don't see at other stores but again prices are high. The best part was the assortment of baked goods; cider donuts, giant cookies, croissants (plain, chocolate, fruits, meats & cheese filled), muffins, breads, etc. Interesting but I won't visit again.
Exceptional produce, but pricey.
Lots of delicious produce, wines, cheeses and gourmet items.... A little too high priced for my liking though
So much more than I thought it was gonna be.
Fresh food and vegetables. Very clean. Just a little high on the pricing.
Its a cute place to visit and great home grown produce.
They are as good as Wilson's Farm! Both are the best around New England
Every fruit and veg known to man available at all times. Locally sourced when possible. Plus specialty items (wine, craft beer, flowers, bakery, deli).
Packed mid Sunday morning is a good sign. Seriously though, my how they've grown in my lifetime! It's all here clearly marked/labeled, fresh fruit, vegetables, teas, biscuits, assorted cheeses, crackers, baked goods galore and more. Checking out is quick no long hold ups. Staff helpful without being in your face. Beautifully clean rooms of food and designated areas of specialty items make this farm a fun experience!
Always top quality always fresh
This is the best there is!!!
Excellent produce and great food, desserts etc. Helpful staff. It is pricey but its very good quality.
Good products, good quality
I find that their fruits are delicious the day you buy them and the next day but spoiled the following day (they sell them ripe than the average market does). I also find that their prepared foods (soups and cooked dishes) are often good but cost as much as an equivalent dish served in a restaurant. Overall they have some great stuff and I visit at least monthly but I try to keep my purchase quantities as small as possible.
Very fresh produce and great beer selection.
Twice the price of market basket, but only half as fresh.
The spicy gazpacho is divine!
A wonderful market with delicious food and wine. A simple sandwich to a gourmet platter of meats and cheeses. Sweet treats, flowers and much more. You won't be disappointed!
Amazing place
This place was always a treat to go to when I was a kid. I hadn't been in over twenty years, but I was thrilled to take my husband there for the first time today. My childhood memories are not idealized, it was even better than I remember it being. Also, hearing Ninja Sex Party's cover of "Your Wildest Dreams" was a great bonus.
Staff is always friendly, food is always great! Love coming here, especially for cut flowers, they can be a bit more expensive but they always last longer than most places I have purchased from. Of I had to complain it would be that it's always busy(but that's a good thing too).
Great produce, cheeses, meats.
Fresh produce and all the needs for the cook with corresponding fresh prices...
No one seemed to know what they had, I asked for a product I saw on website but they no longer have it
Best produce this side of Japan.
Just got hung up on. I have tried to give this place many, many chances. They have what I need but I am now going out of my way to find it somewhere else. Lots of pretty vegetables covered with pesticides, chicken pot pies filled with hydrogenated vegetable oils, and cold cuts with added nitrates. Plus an attitude!
Very nice gourmet grocery store with their own produce in the summer. Wine and beer available. Nice cheese selection. Fresh flowers by the bunch and a greenhouse with plants. A little expensive but good place to find unusual ingedients.
good but very expensive. I go on a regular basis but yesterday red leaf salad, boston lettuce at $6! Not even Organic! A small bag of honeycrisp apples at $18. I thought it was a typo. For that price I'd rather go to Debra's gourmet at WC, at least its organic and less expensive.
High end produce, fairly high end prices. Good variety of cheeses, meats, beers, wines, etc. Often busy enough to make it hard to steer a shopping cart, but usually not a long line at checkout.
You will find one-of-a-kind food things here. Yum.
I wanted to spend the entire day here! Unfortunately, we were just passing through.
Great selection of produce and beautiful live plants. I'd give them five stars, but I bought a bouquet and when I opened it up at home, a bunch of the stems were already broken and the calla lily had started to rot.
These guys make the best orange juice. Seriously. i live in NH and we go here just to get the OJ.
Top quality fruits, vegetables, flowers, deli, cheese. Spacious. They draw customers from all around the region.
Had a lot of fresh produce. My go-to place if I do not find fresh produce around where I live. They have a lot of locally sourced/farmed products which is great. Even though expensive, its good to support local business when I can.
If you're from the West coast. It's like a co-op, trader Joe's, n' the like. Really good stuff. Pretty pricy on everything though.
Excellent country store. Nobody compares.
Good solicitations
Great selection of cheese and crackers, wine and special beverages. As well as home made baked goods, i.e. pies, cakes, meals, breads with a small deli. Produce is hand picked by people who care to present great fruits and vegetables.
Worst sandwich I've ever had couldn't finish it and made me sick to my stomach. For the price you pay you would think it would be alot better
Great place for fresh produce, prepared foods, even a good beer and wine selection.
I love going here for special treats, the cheese and bakery is wonderful. Alcohol is out of my budget but I come here when I want to splurge
Excellent produce, local atmosphere
Love it! Great selection, beautifully presentation and helpful staff
Best produce in the area, and they have so much more than that. Gourmet food items, deli, beer, wine, bakery, flowers, mulch. You have to visit to really see everything. I usually visit once a week.
Great produce and flowers.
If they don't have it, you don't need it! Amazing food selection! Yummy!
Wonderful place for fresh veggies as well as a selection of cheeses and other gourmet foods. A must for us when we are nearby.
People who love and respect food as much as I do. Love this place
Shop here once a week for my fresh produce.
Love the ice creams there. Nice place to spend with your family on a weekend for a picnic
Great produce. High quality and a lot of variaty of cheese. Good meat section. Packaged food is good .
