This Fruit Store is classified in the category of Produce market.
You can save a bundle of cash shopping here once a week rather than going to expensive super markets for fruits and vegetables. They don't have a big organic selection but you can find some items organic. Be sure to inspect your purchases very carefully for bruised or overriped goods.
Well now this is a place I recommend for everyone you can find vegetables and fruits that you might be looking for and their are couple of places you can buy fish, crabs, shrimp and other see food meats and they also are spices two thumbs up.
I go there for the weekend Market. This is the best place to go if you want vegetables, fruits, and other items that are relatively inexpensive. If you wait ti they are nearly about to close, you can get the best prices. I'm talking about a full cardboard box full of strawberries for $2.
Cannot beat these prices. Take care in summer, as produce inevitably suffers from being out in the heat (go on the early side). Also check berries, as they sometimes have mould. Also be discerning with fish. That said, most fruit is fine if you check, and vegetable variety/quality/price are all very high.
Haymarket is hands down the best deal for produce in town. You can get amazing amounts of fruits and vegetables for a handful of cash. Beware: do not go if you know nothing about food and cannot pick out good product. I got everything in the photo for 25$.
No doubt... Market is very good. All vegetables, fruits are available for very less price. Also I hope local farmers will get benefited out of it....
Not always the freshest products but the prices are good
Great variety of fruits and vegetables got to dodge a lot of people very tight walking space through the stands.
Great fruits and vegetables at good prices.
Great place - lots of local markets but pretty pricey.
Friday market offers groceries veggies and fruits at cheap and affordable prices. For best deals go around 5 in the evenings.
This is THE spot where you get dirt cheap produce in Boston that didn't sell in the supermarkets! I routinely find bargains here: 10 apples, pears, or maybe oranges for $2, a bag of 3 heads of romaine lettuce for a dollar, a pack of Kumato or Campari tomatoes for a buck ... BRING CASH. No other method of payment will be accepted! If you come by car, park in Parcel 7 garage and bring your ticket to one of the vendors to validate it with a stamp (if the one you ask can't, they'll know which one can). This will reduce your fee for parking in that garage to $1, as long as you park there for less than 3 hours. One thing to be aware of when you come here: some folks are selling produce that is spoiling or on the verge of spoiling, quite openly. That's part of the deal with such a last-stop market. Check out carefully what you want to buy. If you are good at picking out produce, you will do well here. Also - this is not the friendliest, pleasantest atmosphere to shop in. It can get crowded and it's out of doors and exposed to the weather (though bless them, even on the hottest and coldest of Fridays and Saturdays they still come out to sell their products!). Many of the vendors will be short and brusque with you. They are working hard and trying to get rid of their produce quickly, and they generally don't engage in all the customer service niceties you may be used to in a conventional supermarket. A few of them are racist. I avoid those guys (btw they're all guys, the racist ones). Most of them, however, are honest, hardworking people who will readily hand you a bag to start gathering the produce you want to buy, even if they don't exactly say hi to you in the process. All in all, if you can tolerate the lack of creature comforts of conventional markets, you can really score here. My food costs are way lower since I started shopping here, and I eat tons of fruit and veggies as a result. And I'm happy.
Great place to find deals when budgeting for fruits and vegetables
Love there fruits i brought some, sweet cherry and strawberry. Good customer service. And it reminded me of back home. And and everything is cheaper there.
U pay less than half what u pay somewhere else, however u should be very careful what u buy since a lot of things are already going bad or will go bad within few days. After few visits u will become an expert at knowing what to choose
Ok but the prices at the farmers market across the street were super dooper low
You could get fresh fruits and vegetables at very competitive prices.
This is the best place in Boston to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables on Friday or Saturday. The prices are some of the best in the area. Make sure you check to make sure your purchase is ALL good quality as sometimes a less than perfect item will be included in your purchase. If you are a frequent visitor to the market, find a vendor you like, get to know them, buy from them often and they will make sure you always get the highest quality produce.
I'll go there on a Saturday before 7pm closing for leftover bargains. * Example, it is possible to get a case of strawberries, 8 boxes for $1 from vendors, if heat didn't totally ruin them. * Friday opening day, fruits and vegetables fresher. * Saturday prices start dropping towards end of the day's closing, like clearance sales. Nothing is * refrigerated *, so, vendors really want everything gone by Saturday closing time at 7pm..
We had friends take us here for the first time. The selection of produce was incredible and the prices were more than fair. Looking forward to visiting again when in Boston!
The best place to get fresh fruits and vegetables for very good price
Great fresh fruits and fresh vegetables at very low price..
Great farmers market, almost everything available here
You are getting the best produce for a low price!
On weekends Friday and Saturday I enjoy local vegetable and fruits market at the place.
How-to at Haymarket **CASH ONLY, NO CHANGE*** -Offer exact change to the vendor -State your purchase ("bell peppers") -Take the offered bag (say thanks!) -Choose your produce quickly Personally I prefer the tents farthest away from the T station, as they're less crowded. Close to Faneuil Hall, there's a single vendor selling cheap bouquets of flowers! And Harry's cheese shop is nearby, they have great options. Vendors are typically friendly. Best deals I've found: 1lb jalepeños for $1. Two containers of strawberries for $1. $1 for a 3-5lb bag of those tiny white and red potatoes! Two large containers of raspberries for $3. Worst deals: I bought 3 mangos and all 3 were bad inside. Carrots: not that expensive anyways and heavy to carry. Pros: very cheap, prices are fairly consistent, typically 80-90% of what you buy is in good condition, fun environment Cons: not accessible by vehicle, need exact cash, crowds
So much fun great quality produce and prices
A ton if fresh vegetables and fruits. Very crowded.
Half the folks was that great all packs of strawberries had fuzz and the rest was partial brown on cherries. I'll spend extra $2 or 5 dollars worth at a market. QUALITY of QUANTITY that's the suit I normally follow
Local Farmers market. Low cost fruits and vegetables. No space to park vehicle and the place always over crowded.
Fresh produce cheaper than most convenience stores
Boston Haymarket is a nostalgic place for me when you want a very good food for a very affordable price Also it's worth mentioning one of the best cheese place in Boston
Fruits are really cheap, a lot of fresh produce at bargain prices. You have to thoroughly wash the berries, spinach etc. The stuff is definitely not organic like other farmers markets. You have to inspect each item you buy.
Best place to get fruits and groceries at the cheapest price. It is better to go in the morning, around 10 AM to get the fresh and best produce.
Great prices, but be careful what you are buying.
Affordable and welcoming to all whom wants fresh produce from fruits to vegetables..u can simply try it before u buy it..!
This market is cheapest in Boston. However, you need to do good selection of fruits and vegetables. I have an experience with them where they gave me mangos and raspberries. Those are completely worst. So it is up to you to select better items. I'm not quite sure how the farmers can sell this much lowest price! I'm really sad for the farmers.
I mean, you really can't go wrong with the price of the produce. The quality is not top tier, but if you plan to eat within a few days or freeze, it's a no-brainer. The Haymarket area has really become built up with fancy shops and high end grocery at the BPM, but the Haymarket itself is a blast from the past.
This is the cheapest place I know in the usa for fresh produce. Friday and Saturday sunrise to sunset. Loved it! You need to be here. Bring your own bags and a large cart or backpack. You'll be amazed!
This is the best place to get fresh groceries at the cheapest price.
Love haymarket square lots of produce and other fresh food
Small strip outside of the market that sold fresh fruits and vegetables. Inside the mall it artisans shops
Produce at a wonderful price! I just love it!
It a very good place to get food
Best place for fresh produce, applicable for most of the veggies and fruits but not all of them. Friday is the best time for better quality.
Nice place to get cheap fruit and vegetables.
The produce section was good kale was fresh my Russian tortoise loved the kale.but the people around haymarket T station are very addicted very b as d train station but in m strapped.
Very cheap and good quality produce, fruits as well as veggies.. 2-3 min walk from the Haymarket station. Surely recommend it.
They now have **ORGANICS!!!!*** not produce but you can find them and for those who don't know the prices are nearly **HALF**grocery store prices. Get there early to catch the seafood before it's gone trust me it will be gone quickly. They have some international produce like Rubatan, Thai basil, kanapas and many more tasty goodies. Many vendors will even allow you to sample their goodies. Save some money and go you'll be so glad that you did.
My favorite market! Insider tip: go on Saturdays at 6 pm and you get all what is left for nearly free! We always go on this time and I get so much great stuff. Otherwise they just through it in the trash.... so go and think about friends and neighbors to share with
Fresh & cheap farmer's market Fridays and Saturdays. You can drink a very good cappuccino inside the market.
Love the customer service. It is so enjoyable watching the vendors deal with idiotic customers. It is a great show. Be respectful and nice to the vendors and they will treat you great. Try to be a jerk and they will bury you. Great deals, fair prices and good people.
Good place for fruits and vegetables. Good prices as well.
It's good im the winter time since the produce is preserved. Otherwise everything goes bad I'm a few days
Boarders the North End and full of great acts and food for everyone to enjoy
Cheapest prices in Boston for fruits and veggies. Be aware of quality though. If you search enough you'll find good stuff. And if you come on Saturday before sunset it'll be even cheaper!
This area is a lot of fun. Lots of sights to see and things to do. Great food and street entertainment.
fruit is vegetables fresh and delicious. great price. it is worth knowing
Fresh vegetables. Fresh fruit. What's not to love?
Don't expect a real farmers market. More of a grocery surplus market. Still great prices!
Vegetables and fruits are super cheap. You have to be watchful of what you pick, in terms of quality. You get what you pay for. Having said that, the seasonal fruits and veggies are worth buying. I love the fact that all produce is sold in the open unlike claustrophobic supermarkets.
Never saw so much produce. Great variety.
Best place to buy veggies, fruits. Cheap & good quality. Besides it's supporting locals.
Foodstuffs of all kinds are fresh , cheap and at affordable rate .
The food is fresh only if you go in the early hours of Friday / Saturday. Make sure you check the vegetables / fruits before getting them. All aren't as good as they present it especially strawberries
Nice place for a quick and cheap produce shopping with food quality items.
There are an assortment of vendors some selling the same fruits and vegetables You're able to get a good bargain . There are almost meat markets.
Best place to get fruits and veggies at the cheapest price. Love me some haymakert goods
