Candy, candy, candy galore!!! You get a lot for what you pay! So many candies from the past and there are even sugar free options. The food prices are a little pricey but are ok. There are a lot of Amish choices, fruits and vegetables, jellies, jams, spices and a whole lot more! You will enjoy it!!

My kids LOVE this store and I have to admit, I do too! There is all types of candies here, some from my childhood that cannot be found in other stores. Don't know why it is called the fruit bowl, there is mostly candy! The prices are high, but it doesn't stop is from buying. They also have baking supplies and spices that are reasonably priced.

Nice selection of fruits and vegetables, many of which are locally and regionally grown. The produce is always fresh, and higher quality (looks better, tastes better!) than at local supermarkets. You can also find veggies that simply don't exist in the big stores, like ramps, garlic scapes, local cabbage & turnip varieties, etc. They also carry many regional flours, honeys, farmcheese, etc connected to "Pennsylvania Dutch" table culture. A large portion of the store is for bulk candy, and they have 1000s of varieties. A true weak spot for me!

The fruit bowl is an exceptional shopping experience! They offer all types of fruit and vegetables, and exceptional offering of all types of candies from sugar-free to hard candy to candy making supplies candies from back in the 60s All Brands and names you can imagine it just unbelievable assortment of candy that you can look at in purchase. If you're ever in the Cumberland area travel Route 40 towards Lavale you will find the fruit bowl at the Narrows it's an experience you should not miss.

My dad took me here occasionally as a child, and I still stop by when driving through. It's a small rural market with a large variety of pay-by-the-pound candy, as well as local produce and groceries. I usually only get a bag of candy and some cherry cider (really good!) when I go, but the produce always looks fresh. If you like rare or uncommon flavors of your favorite candies, like vanilla tootsie rolls or strawberry cowtails, this place has a surprisingly large amount of different flavors for a lot of classic candies. Oh, and they do have an entire sugar-free candy section for those who watch their sugar intake.

The corn on the cob they sell here is always the best in my area. Their fruit and candy is usually priced a lot cheaper than the market's. They have a wide variety of stuff, bulk candy, baker's chocolate and other necessities, candy molds and oils, seasonings, soup mixes, and more.
