Mutiple bait and switch items at register. Arrived at deli to find 4 workers just talking. The one who did acknowledge me during her conversation asked what I wanted. I asked to explain the sale. The one in the flyer. The one with not one but two posted signs behind her. Not only did she get the wrong item but when I questioned at the register. I was treated like I was trying to swindle because your deli person couldn't stop talking long enough to do her job. This has happened 27 of the last 40 visits with all different products. And the employees treat you like dirt when you bring up the error. That's why all my visits are now being streamed on the web. Full audio and video. Your employees.

This is my grocery store of choice. The cost is reasonable compared to some of the other grocery stores. Sometimes there's not enough check outs open during busy times -- like Sundays.

The prices are higher than Market Basket. The quality of produce is usually good. The seafood department is clean and fresh, no fishy smell like some of the other large grocery stores in the area. They have good deals in the meat department. The store is pretty clean. Great organic section. The baggers could use better training. Clipping coupons on mymixx helps with the cost, and the Sat morning freebies through the app are great. Convienence of being right on Main Street is a plus.

Hannaford's not so much. I've been there almost daily, stocking my pantry. Good prices, but incredible staff, from the deli staff, meat counter and customer service desk(thanks Stephanie!). One of the special things about Middlebury is this crew! Do yourself a favour and shop only here!

My go to location for my Weekly shopping. Relaxed local atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The store can get busy during peak hours, but the front end does a excellent job of getting everyone checked out quickly. Would recommend to all people new to town!

I find that Shaw's has the best fruit and vegetables. Their employees always smile. The manager hired some really terrific people, because it's a pleasure to go there. One thing that I would like them to carry is more soy-based organic foods, because I am lactose intolerant.

I was overcharged as I always am. I have to go back for a refund. I rarely go there for that reason. I am never overcharged (97% of the time) at Hannafords. When they make a mistake they double the amount due for a refund with no questions asked, a sincere apology and a pleasant attitude. When I go to Shaw's, I get a grumble and a reluctant refund for the amount of their error. I don't like to be taken advantage of, which I invariably am at Shaw's. When I shop there, I always pay a price, in more ways than one, and I regret having gone for the sake of convenience or a special deal. Avoid Shaw's!!!!

The Congress St location wins my pick for"Most Improved". Years back it was a mess, but now it's been totally renovated. It's a cozy location. The deli is impressive, and I like how they group organic items near similar items, rather than having an organic section like most Shaw's locations do.

It's conveniently located in downtown Nashua. A lot of parking available. Shelves are often not fully stocked and prices are higher than competitors. Must do price comparisons to see if you can save more elsewhere. Sales are tricky....need to know cost of your staple items. Sometimes can't save unless you purchase quantity/set dollar amount of advertised brand.

The cashier named '*Lexi' is incredibly disrespectful. While she was away from the cash register to get something, she tried to 'discreetly' point me out while she was walking away by pointing her thumb over her shoulder at me to two other employees to laugh. Maybe it would be one thing if I was twirling around, singing to myself or wearing clown makeup but I'm just here to get my things and leave. I get I am not the prettiest person. I don't mind slow cashiers, employees who don't smile or pretend to be bubbly because their job forces them too, wrong orders or anything because retail sucks but this is unacceptable coming from an employee. She needs to be taught some respect.

This place is straight out of the 1980s and sorely needs an update to both decor and merchandise offering. I went here specifically to buy some seltzer water and bagels. They had practically no selection of seltzer water despite nearby competitors having large sections of this product. However they did have 12 feet x 3 shelves worth of Shaws brand Cola. That is 12 feet of ALL THE SAME FLAVOR. I went to get some bagels and their entire bread section is only about 6 feet long. They had 3 brands of "Everything" bagels, their own brand of plain and two different brands of Maple Syrup flavored bagels. Are the people who do ordering for this store only buying what THEY personally like?! On my way to the registers I was greeted with rack of Beanie Babies (didn't even know these were still made!) And a $600 patio set. Who is going to impulse buy a $600 patio set?! This kind of cross merchandising was popular in the 80s, but most chains realized they could earn more money devoting the huge space junk like this took up to popular food items since that is what people go to the grocery store for. On top of that aisles were really narrow and often partially blocked by shippers. Not a great experience over all.

What can you say about Shaw's @ 300 Main St. Nashua.. A lot actually.. their produce and prepared foods are always top notch. Meats and deli are a cut above those other supermarkets. Their gourmet cheeses, hummus and encoutremen are food trend concious...exciting and plentiful. Awesome World Foods aisle. Bakery is always active and wicked fresh. Beer and wine selection is varied and adequate... And checkout is pretty fast. Dunkin Donuts onsite.

Bought pork chops packed today according to the label got home two minutes later meat had started to turn gray and smelled horrible I returned it with no problem and service was fine. Got chicken perdue chicken instead however got that back and opened each prepackaged chicken breast and the smell was awful there is either something going on with refrigeration some where alone the line.

I use this Shaw's as my primary supermarket. They are not the cheapest in town but they seem to offer a fair value and a good selection of items. Their three Day sales as well as their weekly Flyers can have some Bargains in them. All in all I will continue to use them but not exclusively.

Great location in the center of town. Some prices are heavy. Sale prices are good. Clean except for the bathrooms due to neighborhood addicts destroying it faster than it can be cleaned. Fresh products are generally maintained well. The staff is friendly for most part as well as efficient in the knowledge of their store and products. I wouldn't do a full shopping list there for lack of employees and prices over all , but it's definitely good for a quick shopping list.

You have to keep an eye on the dates of the products even the stuff on the Shelf. They do not rotate their product so they always sell expired already or about to expire products. Even with the chicken it may say it's still good for another 3 days you open it up and it's already gone bad.

Note: Customer service REALLY*** needs a line separator to indicate that both counters can help customers with service. As it is now, it appears that one is for lotto and one for service and I got cut twice in line today because of it. All other grocery stores have this and this store should too. Ended up standing in line for twenty minutes to return something.

The vibrant asthetics cannot blur the high prices compared to local Market Baskets. More importantly, CHECK YOUR FOOD. In any isle, with almost any food, you will find something expired. I already called and complained once to corporate. The manager called back, left a message, and apologized. A week later, when Shaws was the only grocery store open (their only real advantage these days), I found the following foods. (See attached photos.) Look at those dates, and I specifically mentioned expired yogurts in my complaint and the manager said he would take care of it. Aside from obviously this expired food and the convenience of being open longer, there's only three registers or less open during peak times so expect a wait. If you need something from the last holiday, they probably still have it on sale. Shaws used to be known as the store better than Market Basket but that is no longer the case.

I live close by and I don't drive, so if I need a few things, I can just walk down to Shaw's and get what I need. 4/2/19 ***UPDATE*** So, I felt like I needed to write an update because I just experienced something amazing and inspiring at this Shaw's! Things like this NEVER HAPPEN TO ME!!! First off... I have NEVER lost my wallet with most of my identification and my Daughter's identification is... Along with ALL of my money, insurance cards, etc etc etc is!!! Second.. Any time I've lost money or knew someone that lost their purse/wallet, they didn't see it again! I went grocery shopping yesterday at Shaw's and checked out, then remembered that I needed my Rent Money Order anyway, so why not just get it while I'm there... So, I did. I filled it out and sealed the envelope to go drop it off when I left Shaw's. I stuffed it in my purse, obviously assuming, I'd already put my wallet away... Well, I dropped my money order off and went home. I went through the rest of the day not realizing my wallet was GONE! This morning, as I'm getting ready to leave for a Doctor's appointment, I realize my wallet is no longer in my purse! I panicked and tore my house apart, called my Sister asking her to look in her car and trunk because she drove me to and from Shaw's and to drop my Rent off. I couldn't find it and neither did my Sister! I then thought back to where I last actually saw my wallet, which was Shaw's... I called and talked to a woman named Eleanor at Customer Service and guess what? She said that it was found and she had it for me! Luckily, one of her co-workers or possibly her boss saw it and brought it to her attention. She paged me, but I had already left the store. I apologize for the long winded story of my step by step experience, but I feel it's important to share something I feel is miraculous these days and how real the panic was before I knew my wallet and it's contents were safe! I can't show my gratitude enough for this simple act of kindness and honesty! Just because my wallet was found by an employee and/or someone on a higher-up position, doesn't mean they HAD TO do the right thing and make sure it got back to it's rightful owner! Honestly, I would've done the same thing, but not everyone would! So... I am so grateful and this gives me hope! Hope that there are still good people in the world! Thank you Eleanor and the unnamed gentleman that handed you my wallet! Thank you! Everything in that wallet means something to me and my Family and most of it is needed for our survival! God bless! The worst deli I've ever been to. Either there are never any rotisserie chickens available (even at 5:30p.m on a weekday) or there's only one person tending to the entire deli counter and it takes 20+ minutes to finally get some service. What a shame.

Okay, I just don't understand the staff at this store. It has been twice now that I have swung in there after work at 7:30, mind you, and had been told that they "were closing." Shaws closes at 10pm on weekdays. So two times now I have been rushed through the store well before closing an then told I needed to leave because they close in 2 and a half hours??? Now usually I would chalk this up to me not knowing how the store works but i HAVE BEEN AN EMPLOYEE of shaws in the past so I KNOW this is not how it works. Secondly, after picking up some bananas I was told i "could not purchase them because they were not ripe." WHAT??? I'm pretty sure they will be ripe on my counter. I ended up walking out and going to Market Basket.

Go every week great service. I buy cupcakes with cream. The person waiting on me said he did not have cream and that the cupcakes come in frozen. I told him I know because I buy them every week. His excuse is he did not make cream frosting. There is a young women in the bakery dept that prepares the cupcakes for me every week. He seemed irritated and lazy. From the bakery I went to the deli. I waited 10 minutes before I saw anyone . Not a good day at Shaws. Hope next week is better.

It's just another grocery store. It's the smallest Shaw's in the area, so selection is less than other Shaw's stores. More organics now than before, but that's saying much they used to have practically none. It's an old strip-mall building from the 1960's that was remodeled this summer (2018.) Limited products to chose from. Very pricy. They have deals however in order to get the price advertised you have to buy 1 or even up to 10 to get the deal. Store was clean, fast check out (we had a over flowing cart). Friendly. Went there for convince, close to my pharmacy. Prices are much higher than other store. Good for a few I items. Pharmacy area is extremely over priced

This is my go-to grocery shopping locale. The location is very convenient for me and most likely manner who live in Addison county, especially the center. The prices are more fair than Hannaford's, the only real competitor to Shaw's. The Co-op across the street has wonderful produce, but their prices are just too high to regularly shop at. My biggest critique of this store is that their beef selection (sirloin, filet, tips, london broil, etc) is pretty much awful. Occasionally there will be a petite sirloin that looks decent, but otherwise it is downright dismal. Bread, milk, cheese, produce prices are all good.

Like WalMart, but without the low prices. I did my shopping here for years before realizing it was way too expensive and supermarkets could be run better. Nor did I expect that they'd so willingly take advantage of a nearby population with no cars and thus no choice.

Great store, but the parking lot was a sheet of ice. I overheard the manager telling an employee to go salt the entryways and the sidewalk, but not to bother with the parking lot. Even if it's not their responsibility, as they are in a shipshop center, their customers should be important enough to them to "bother" with their safety. Smh. Also, why is there only a tiny sign in the window that says which doors are closed after 8pm? Most Shaw's locations have a big sign to make it clear. To add insult to injury to all the people traipsing across their ice rink, now they have to walk the whole parking lot.

I was less then impressed with the lack of interest the deli associate show when I went there to order a few subs like I do a few times a month and in the middle of my order he stopped to assist another customer handling fried foods and without changing his gloves went back to finish my order I know Market Basket prepares freshly made subs maybe it's time for a change Very Unsatisfied Customer

Very impressed with business during the Stop n Shop strike. I attempted going several times and it was just so busy. Finally went in at almost 7:30pm and it was still extremely busy....was in and out in 35 minutes!! They had enough registers open to accommodate the added customers, store was clean, the shelves were very stocked (a couple things were low but not bad) workers were very pleasant and working very hard, they didn't let the stress show and they kept up on the carriages in the parking lot. Didn't see any in the 2 corrals I parked near. Great job Shaw's employees!!!

Went to the one in EP . Bigger more with selections of idems than the smaller one in Riverside. Over all nice, shopped early and there weren't many other shoppers ,which made check-out quick. Employees fast and friendly .

The store has gone down hill for the past year or so. You need to look at expiration dates on every product even the dry goods stuff on the shelves. There's nothing like buying something get it to the house and then you realize that it expired and it's no good, now you got to go back to the store with your receipt to get money back. I only go if it's a last resort

Your store is very well stocked, but a lot of your prices are far too high and so I tend to shop at your store only when I'm in a pinch for groceries. I think you would gain more customers with some cheaper prices and more generic items. Most of your employees are pleasent. My 1st experience wasn't very good. I was in the frozen food area and I couldn't reach the corn. I asked a gentleman in the soda area for assistance his response was where. I told him the frozen food area. No response he did walk to the area with me. I thet told him I would like a few packages of corn handed me 1 I asked if I could have 2 more he seemed like I was putting him out. After he handed me 2 more I thanked him for his help. He just walked away away. He didn't even acknowledge me.

Just stopped in to grab cheese early before the heat hit. I didn't know in advance if the deli opened at the same time as the store or not. I was glad to find it was. Good sales on what I wanted today too. Looks like in the future when I need early morning shopping done and haven't a car I know where I can go.

Staff have never been anything but kind, helpful and friendly to me and my wife. One of the managers even gave my wife free flowers because they had a big shipment that day. We have shared chocolates with the check out staff, the cart people and baggers know our names and always want to stop and say hi. If people stopped being self important for half the second it takes to connect with other humans they would discover and absolute gem of a store in their own back yard.
