Great place to get locally grown organic produce!! Yes you gave to cross the river but worth the trip!! George is such a wonderful person and always has a great story to share about the produce, New Orleans or going down memory lane

Workers were very hostile towards my friends and I. I felt very uncomfortable; one of the workers followed us around the whole time making fun of us saying things like "yall look innocent, but i bet nothing innocent about yall". It was hard to concentrate on getting the groceries. I will NEVER go here again. It felt very unsafe, and for the worker to judge my friends and I was totally out of line because he knew nothing about us. It seems as if he is disrespectful towards respectful women. He even asked to check our purses assuming that we wanted to steal from him, and he called us critters. Judgemental, hostile, rude, and unsafe. We walked into the store smiling and greeted them saying "Hi", so there was no reason for that worker to act as he did. To whoever reads this: be cautious going to this store!

Stopped by Georges’ today as I needed nice tomatoes for a gazpacho. I’d gotten some others earlier from the grocery but they really had little flavor. Those I got from George’s were lovely meaty creoles with wonderful flavor. I really need to shop there more often, as they have a very nice selection of fruits and vegetables.

I love Mr George Farmer's market, All of his fruits and vegetables are always Fresh and Delicious. His Wife Shenill, is Very Welcoming and Helpful.. I'm a Gardener, This is Where I ALWAYS Purchase My Garlic, His Garlic Is Home Grown, So I Know it will grow in my Garden.. Thank you Shenill and George.. The New Orleans Gardener.
