I came to the Post Office here to save time and stood there for almost 15 minutes while they waited on everyone else using the front desk area as a checkout lane.... I even asked her if I was in the right place or if I needed to be somewhere else she said I'll be with you shortly.... Clearly I left without getting the service I needed.....

I'm giving one star on account of the bakery experience I had. The grocery store overall is neat clean and the employees seem pleasant but I asked for a birthday cake made specifically a certain way which they charge an extra $10 for any special requests. If I have to spend an extra $10 for the time to decorate bake or whatever needs to be done then I expect a fresh baked cake. The cake I ordered couldn't have been made fresh. If it was it was lousy. It was dry like week old cake and the icing wasn't that great either. It tasted like that whipped fluffy icing and I don't like that type so I will not be ordering cake from this location. The mid-city mall Valumarket is the best place for fresh baked cakes. The cake decorator there is the BOMB.

Shame. This place has some of he best fried chicken (and fixens' for that matter) of any place in town. But, this is the second time my family and i have been treated like second class citizens by the staff. I showed up at exactly 650 pm tonight to order up some of the super awesome the young lady behind the counter said, "we're closed." When I pointed out that it was only 650 pm old dude didin't even turn around and look at me. He just said, We're closed." Shame. Valumarket used to be such a friendly neighborhood market with great food, great prices and great staff. I guess two out of three ain't bad.

The coin counter says NO FEE and that is a lie, I was charged 55 dollars to count 457 dollars in coins. You won't know this until everything is finished and you get your receipt. Ripped off !!!!!

I used to think this place was great. Now its just okay. It does have many low priced items. But the milk situation has caused me to no longer shop there unless I absolutely have to. I thought I was buying my regular 3 gallons of milk at the stated price. But supposedly some fine print says you only get one gallon at the lower price per order, but only if you have previouly spent a certain amount (100$ I think). So the rest is higher priced. I had to check out three separate times to get the milk at the stated price. This is not completely explained when you pick up the milk and the signage is not conspicuous. Its like they think they are doing me a favor to sell me one gallon of milk. But I think they are competing with Walmart and Kroger for my business. These jumping through hoops to buy milk means they have lost the majority of my business.

I use to really like shopping at this store, but the last several times have not been so great. I have went to the deli the last 2 times and both times, you have to wait to have them wait on me and I was the only one there. Then they have not been very friendly at all. Almost felt like I was interrupting them. If I was looking for price, I would go to Walmart, but I am looking for good service and I am finding that the service is starting to lack. I am disappointed in that. I have worked at small chains grocery stores for over 7 years in the past, and it is always service that wins.

Hands down the best Valu Market in the city. Great selection. Very clean and organized. Amazing produce and deli. The staff are helpful and friendly and even bagged the totes that we brought along for us. (Normally if we bring reusable bags, we end up having to bag them ourselves.) I love the layout and the atmosphere of the store. A really nice place to shop.
