Prices are almost double. Just because they are the only grocery store in town for local residents to shop unless you want to drive to Mt Washington, Shelbyville or Bardstown. If you live in town and have no transportation then there's no option but to pay their prices......I support local businesses but this place doesn't serve local people right

I ordered some chicken liver in the deli they told me be 20 minutes it took 30 minutes because it sat on a counter for 10 minutes because they're too lazy to look at the order and tell you that it's done when you're sitting waiting on it will not go back

This grocery us closer than most any other store to my Mt. Eden home. The pricing and selection are not as competitive as the larger chains in Shelbyville, but the employees are nice and it is convenient for small trips/basics.

Local country market. A little of everything for everyone. Very friendly service and friendly employees. Has a pharmacy, meat n bakery counters. Very clean in n out. Being there's no competition in the area, they're a bit higher priced on somethings than say Kroger's. But the hometown atmosphere and friendly service more than makes up for the slight difference. If your looking for that small town/hometown feeling of yesterday, Country Mart is the place to shop and visit with neighbors while shopping. It also has a gas station to boot.

I wish they had a better produce section, but overall, the convinece of the market is pretty solid. They sell beer after 1 on Sundays. Really happy they have lump charcoal! Prices are good when they have sales. They also rent rug doctors which is really convenient. In one word: utilitarian.

I frequent this store, as it is the only full service grocery store in the area. It is good, with the exception of the produce, the quality is like seconds, and the prices are high for example leaf lettuce 3.29 a bunch at Kroger it's. 99 and looks fresher.its still ok but could use some reevaluation and pricing maybe the product will move better. Big plus meat market.

They are always having meat sales. On Wednesday, you can get banana s, for .25 cents a Lb. Lots of parking spaces, and they are always friendly. My grandkids love the little shopping carts with a flag, it reads, " Customer in training".

Normally like shopping here. Not going through non groceries. However, we purchased meals to go, lady in deli told us she's not allowed to use the cash register, so we had to wait in a regular line. Why can't someone ring a person up if she can't?

the prices are neither exceptional or outrageous; it's convenient if you don't want to go out of town or just need a few things. Not worth making a trip for if you live outside of Taylorsville, unless you're going for the Deli, which is almost restaurant quality. It has competition with the new Dollar General that opened down the road, which carries fresh produce and is almost the size of Country Mart.
