Very nice place to walk around and have linch or pick up some produce.
Just a great place to get your culinary fix in a cool environment. A lot of quality food and drink options most made fresh on site.
Many Inividuals with assorted food choices.I tried cheese cake Wow what fresh flavor and served nice and cold.
Three Carrots on south end is best spot for vegan food.
Love this place such a nice variety
This place was awesome. Great environment great food.I come here all the time. Never an issue.
Very unique place with a little bit of everything. One of my favorites is Tomlison Tap. Lots of seating.
When you get close to the City Market it will lure you in with its smells. You can go shopping at little shops, get fresh foods and veggies, or a quick bite to eat. Definitely worth a visit.
A variety of good fast food clean and friendly
Nice when all the vendors are open together. Wish they had evening hours as well, perhaps at least on the weekend, it would really up the downtown experience.
One stop shop for food when you're out with friends. They have everything so even your pickiest friend can find something they would like to eat.
First-time stepper-inner. Couldn't decide what to eat so I just walked around. Love the aesthetic and use of the place. Clean facilities. Plentiful.
City Market has a variety of food choices and the place is pretty nice. Enjoy lunch while downtown and have a good time
One of the absolute best places to find lunch in the city, so long as it is a weekday. I wish more of the locations were open on Saturdays, but this place is great. Also just happens to have one of the best barber shops in town.
I enjoy walking around here and looking at all their offerings. Lots of food to choose from with nice upstairs sitting area.
I love experiencing this place..i love fresh vegetables and other stuff they have....
So many food choices and the food is excellent. Definitely worth going
Love this market! Great atmosphere and great vendors!
Always a joy....so much to see!
The City Market is THE place to go when you're downtown and have picky friends. Every place in the market is local (no large chain restaurants). There are even great options for vegans! There are good hamburgers, pizzas, Greek, Mexican, fresh baked bread, pretzels, smoothies, soups, and sandwiches...the hardest part is choosing one! There's seating both upstairs and outside, and there's also a farmer's market in the spring, summer, and early fall on Wednesdays just outside (they close off Market St, so be aware!).
There is always something delicious for everyone! Deli sandwiches at Cafe Olivia! Chicken Alfredo at Mauricio! Wraps at Circle City Soups!
Walk inthe door and smells are amazing - all different kinds of foods - fresh bread, crepes, cupcakes etc. Old world charm
Glad they didn't tear it down in the 60's
Great place to support your local businesses.
Circle city soups. Best breakfast bowl on town
I went into the McDonald's #35456; and I ordered the Grilled Artisan Chicken Sandwich, that sandwich was way to salty. Since I am on the road traveling I could not get my money refunded for that nasty sandwich.
Went when it was cold but it was nice.
Good food of all kinds
Lot of things to see. Different kinds of food, some fresh and some cooked. There was lots of thing to try.
Really great place for a variety of options for food. Check hours before you go - many of the places close in the afternoon. Some of the staff are not very friendly. Bar upstairs is great.
Great place for a party. The catacomb tour is cool too.
Best place for a quick, cheap lunch in Indy. Check it out!
This place is nothing like it was 10 years ago. For breakfast there's only a couple options but it's bustling by lunch time. You can find ample seating and even more food/drink options on the second floor. They also have tours of the catacombs which I haven't done yet but it's on my list. Always a sellout from my understanding. Oh yeah...they have a bike hub and ymca.
Great food selection on each ile. I highly recommend it specially in the mornings for some creamy donuts and fresh coffee!
Fun place to get food and an awesome start to the Firecracker6!
Amazing! A bit of something for whatever you're in the mood for!
Delicious food is there!
Very busy place for lunch on weekdays. Many restaurants. When it is very busy, it's difficult to find a table.
Mkst of the vendors were closed. There was no one maning any of the counters to take orders. I was there in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday not sure if they were all closed but that seems like the best time to be open
Perfect lunch spot. Personal favorites are the BBCuban, spicy chicken tamale, and Philly cheese steak. I hear the build-your-own poke bowl spot upstairs is pretty fantastic.
Love the proximity to downtown businesses and landmarks. The variety of food vendors offers something for every palate.
A variety of items and good to go and just browrse.
So much better than the Greenwood market!
A great place to eat and meet friends
Went to Mambo's for breakfast. They were not serving it was around 11:45 ish. We ordered two bacon cheese burgers with fries and a drink. Paid 18 dollars. We got to pick our toppings. But they forgot our bacon.
Nice place to eat. There's plenty of picnic tables outside. Plenty of options for food inside.
Could use a better variety of food vendors. Three Carrots was the best there.
Here on a Saturday at 1300 and over half the food places are closed or only offering limited menu. Very disappointed. Least the place looked nice and was clean. The website is very misleading. it is much smaller in person
This is one of my favorite places to meet up with friends too play boardgames. Plenty of table space upstairs. A lot of choices for food at a fair price.
Visited at lunch time super busy and barely enough room to move through. Visited at 3:30 place was practically empty and most of the stalls were closed or closing already even though advertised here on Google is open until 9PM.
This place has a little bit of everything for just about everyone. Five stars for convenience and variety!
Have lunch at different venues.
A very cool place! A dozen or more food venders of all different cuisines, from American and Mexican, to French and Mediterranean. There is even a florist selling fresh flowers. Located in a historic building, the venders are located in kiosks on the main level, with seating on the second "balcony" style level. There are also some benches outside if you prefer the fresh air. A bar on the second level opens at, or after noon.
Loved all the food choices at City Market. We tried some delicious pizza, crepes and wonderful cakes and macarons for dessert. It was a culinary smorgasbord, something for everyone's tastes. Location also Fab, only a short walk to Monument Circle.
This is a great place to eat and shop! Loved the farmers market the day i was there. The variety was surprising!
So i ate at this place wer they make crepes and well' the bbq one is great but the egg one is to plain.. Overall ut was a great experience!!! Try it you might like it..
Busy but was able to walk into Jack's barber shop without an appointment. Market was just opening and with all the food preparation going on it smelled great. Outside the weekly Wednesday farmers market was underway.
Cool space and convenient garage/street parking nearby, but most of the vendors have weird hours (ie. food retailers closed for lunch).
This place is amazing ... All locally owned stands and so many delicious choices.. had a chorizo omelette...soooo good.. $5.50... was a great price
Desperate need of new management.
Very disappointed. Only a few eating establishments inside and most were closed.
This place is a great gem in downtown Indianapolis. If you have never been here, I highly recommend you check it out!
Great place to grab lunch. All the food was good and friendly vendors.
Nice place, lots of selections, but parking was kind of tricky.
I actually like the city market the small business and the farmers market are the main attractions. A bonus is that it's not far from the mall, the Indygo Transit Center, Kroger, and Whole Foods Market. It is located downtown so there are many Ubers, taxis, hotels, restaurants e.t.c.
First time I've been to the outside Farmers Market. Lots of great vendors. Reasonable prices and lots of different vegetables, spices etc.to choose from. Found a parking space without any problem. Would recommend
Great food good atmosphere too pricey for me
Great variety for lunch options. And Tomlinson Tap upstairs is a wonderful stop for a local beer after work.
I love the food at Three Carrots!!!
Nice lot of vendor good food and people
We went on a Saturday morning & it was pretty empty. Not much there. Not at all what we expected.
I love the variety of food choices there. My sandwich was great and the atmosphere was unforgettable. I enjoyed eating outside on picnic tables. Definitely worth visiting.
Very well put together it's all good abundance of different styles of food and everything to enjoy
Fun and diverse mix of choices. Three carrots is always delicious.
What a cool place. Lots to choose from for lunch and all the history that surrounds you. A must see in Indy
Great selection of different foods. Usually have some sort of event going on inside for entertainment while you eat
Loved the middle eastern food. So glad that was an option. Better than my expectations
Indianapolis is a historic market that's still a functioning market today. A few things to note: 1) Space: The first floor has permanent vendors selling breakfast and lunch items, flowers, gifts, etc. The second floor has a coffee shop, a taproom, and a few other vendors. The building is HUGE, but there aren't as many vendors as you'd expect and many of them close at odd hours. They do have restrooms in the back on the first floor. 2) Food: Nothing really stands out in terms of food, but the coffee shop on the second floor brews a good latte. If you are in the area, stop by! It's a fun place to hang out for an hour (but not longer since it's smaller than expected in terms of vendors).
Most shops were closed when we went, unfortunately, and it was still super tight quarters. Really this is a glorified food court in downtown Indy when I was expecting more than just food to be here. Meh.
Got a BBQ sandwich here that was massive and reasonably priced. Food was good and the atmosphere around it was great.
They have a wonderful food court and tons of places to have a seat.
This place is great for variety and price. It can get a little too crowded during the farmer's market but otherwise I always find seating.
Pretty much anything you want to eat you can find here. There's a little free library shaped like a Ferris wheel outside; pick up a book while you're here.
Love it for its old time feel!
Love it. Jack's Barbershop! Brenda is the Best!
Allot of great food and snacks, beverages and seating. Smells awesome inside from all the different candies and desserts and great food. Follow your nose, it will guide you to the good stuff. Safe area. Lots of outside seating also. It's been there forever.
Lots of great places Need to visit
Lots to choose from, great lunch spot
This place is amazing for lunch
Cool touristy spot with a ton of food.
They take foodstamps do wat
It awsome. Has lots of nice and quick places to eat and do
Great place for amazing tamales, vegan food, and a solid beer while people watching. It’s a very relaxing place just to relax. It also is an ideal place for large groups because everyone can find something they like and the upstairs is very spacious with a lot of tables and chairs.
Paid $15 to part then walked three blocks only to discover that ALL the vendors were closed. Very disappointed. Should let people know.
Nice selections of food to choose from great atmosphere.
Lots of good food.
Always a good place to hang out and eat some great food.
A variety of goodies! You will get fat eating here everyday.
The vendors here are awesome. The place is a little pricey but good quality products. I used to hang out here with some friends but if you don't spend money every 20 minutes Nolan security guards will ask you to leave the premises. The management needs to look into this issue and listen to customer complaints or they will continue to lose customers.
Awesome space, amazing vendors and in a great location!
Oh man. I want to give it a 1 star but it's not their fault people had a date here that bummed me out. I'll get over it. I'm over it. Five stars. Love it. Ugh still to be honest
I loved my first visit to the city market! I couldn’t believe I hadn’t been sooner. It was so fun to be indoors on a hot summer day with lots of local food options and ample seating.
Love the atmosphere and a ton of choices.
I love the variety and fresh fruits and home made goods
Great ham and cheese omelette
City Market has a variety of places inside. I have never been disappointed. I love Mamba's breakfast! Some items are a little pricey, but the quality is a amazing! If you work downtown or need a new place to try, this is your spot!
I didn't order any food I just go down there to look at the hot ladies and drink my beer
If you have never been you have to go. Make sure you check out the cupcake man! He makes over a 100 different ones....havent had one yet i didnt like. My favorite is the Three Irish Men. (Alcohol infused). Dont get me wrong the regular ones are delicious too!
I enjoyed the Fireworks 4th of July Weekend
Dont go on a saturday afternoon. 4 open business. I wasted time and money on parking. If you are going to be open then be open. If you're going to be a week day venue just post that.
Tapitio's is the best restaurant in the place, hands down. The man at the counter might be the happiest human alive. Highly recommended!
Always great to go to Cityp
Omgoshhh me and my boyfriend are from Georgia and this our 2nd trip to Indy and the the first time we ate we feel in love with the tamales. Now we are here again and just ate ate for dinner. It was so good. Going here twice still hadn't failed us yet. We love it there!
interesting place to grab a beer or lunch. the parking is not too easy though
Growing up it was a treat coming downtown and shopping but now it's empty and not worth the hassle.
Great place to grab a bite
This place, has hidden gems of restaurants, with yummy food from different countries. I recommend this place.
Mambos has the best cheeseburger and fries at the most reasonable price in the city. Their line moves quickly so there is always a very minimal wait.
I love the city market. Always something new to try and different things to experience. Fun to go after-work for a beer or during lunch for 3 days in Paris fresh crapes. I love their crapes and high recommend the BBQ chicken crape, it's incredible and super filling, plus it's less than $10 for a very decent lunch.
There are so many options to select from and all are worth trying. Centrally located and accessible.
Tamales, cookies, ice cream, they got a little of everything...LOVED IT!!!
Said open til 9:00 but all vendors gone by 6:00, wasted Lyft ride.....
Better come here at noon. Came twice after 6 and all store are closed...
Its a clean vibrant place where you can get a lil bit of everything
So many vendors great environment great food. Nice place to have luncheon.
Great space and the Taproom had an excellent happy hour special... 8 beers on happy hour special of 4 bucks!
This place has a great selection of food. My favorite is Three Days in Paris because they have really good crepes and the service is always so good!
I love City Market! It's one of the best things downtown Indianapolis has. I love the Somali place I go there every time I go downtown.
