Freeze old fruit and vegetables. Put it out for purchase while wilted and overpriced too. Produce period be old looking sometimes. And we should NEVER see a $3.50 mango. Never! Don't sell if it's going to be that high. I told an elder to put that mango down and her being from the islands where these foods grow wild - to never accept that for herself. Take a good look at canned goods or foods with an expiration stamp of any kind. These the type of cheap sneaks to change dates on expired food. Then jack up the price. Local farmers, local food .... We have to support them

Get your shadow Beni, calaloo bush, pumpkin and selfish. Your ferrol compound, lidya pinkum, katanga water, red and white lavender, vayrum and detol. Any thing you can but in the Caribbean or missing from home Joe's has it. Trini cheese, golden ray you name it Joe's has it. After a while they start calling you my friend with a big smile.

Its a fruit market that offer fruits and vegetables and other bottled items. I personally didn't think the fruits and vegetables looked fresh. And I felt the prices of oils and supplements were over priced and extremely expensive. I think Joe's Market in Irvington offers better selection at a more affordable price.

Rose Octavius falsely claimed in her comment that fake or plastic fish is sold here. She is referring to a debunked YouTube video where two people went with a cellphone camera to a Joe's Market (not Fruit Market, and not in Orange, NJ) to "expose" the owner for selling "plastic fish." They too were inspired by a YouTube video from England where a man films himself complaining about how he was just sold plastic fish. (It actually was real, just previously frozen.) The English incident was an honest mistake. The couple in Orange were hustlers who never even bought fish there in the first place.

Right in the heart of main street and shopping strip.West Indian foods available. Yams are always dry and eat well when cooked.Some things are cheap. No public restroom and parking is limited in front with meters.Metered Parking available in proximity .
