Update.. service has improved on weekends, long lines have stopped happening. However the rest of my review still holds true. I like the store but I find that on weekends some areas they run out of stock on from meats to on sale items to items that apparently they just aren't able to stock enough of in the back.

One of the last places i can still find ground beef under 2$ a lb consistently without having to buy 10 lbs of the stuff. Discount groceries at it's finest. Think like an old school jewel ocso before it got so expensive you had to shop sales.

I recently started going here not knowing it was a piggly wiggly owned. The produce is actually great selection wise. Prices are all pretty decent. The store is very clean and checkout runs well, no crazy member card needed. The ethnic aisle actually has a lot of things I usually go to Asian marts for. I approve.

I worked here and let me tell you a few things. 1. They never wash the carts. 2. They put garbage bags in the carts for easier transportation. 3. They have a plastic bag recycle bin for customers to put plastic bags in to recycle, however, they throw them in the trash. Other than that the prices are pretty good.

Butera's prices are out standing. What cost me $100, would have been at least $50-$100 more at the Jewel. I live in Villa Park and my son and his family live right next door to Butera. That's how I found your store. I wish you had more stores. Thank you for being Butera.

Just left this store. Found a huge infestation of mice. They ripped open all the packages of tortillas, there was mouse droppings all over the food and shelving. Spoke to manager he had no desire to inform his customers of this and gave me corporate office #!!! This is a public health hazard. Will never shop here again.

Butera Market is a good neighborhood grocery store. The Produce Department typically has a good selection of fruits and veggies. Although I do wonder how they find avocado's that small all of the time. The Deli also has a good selection of meats and cheeses. Roasted, ready to eat, chickens are a good price. The Bakery Department is a little small and I wonder why they - and every other grocery store bakery - cannot make true crunchy, crispy crust bread. They have a fair selection of baked goods. The store itself is usually clean, except for the trash left in the shopping carts, and fairly well organized. The cashiers are typically personable and friendly although they tend to be pretty rushed in processing customer selections.

Offers some good deals but you must get and read the weekly circular to get the best deals. Deli is great, fruits and veggies good quality but a bit pricey. For some strange reason the employees always want to take your circular away from you when you go thru checkout. If you want to keep it you practically have to fight them for it. Getting in the entrance is a little weird because the door openings are so small. But otherwise I'm a regular

This is a very good grocery store. It's not as big as Jewel and as a result it's not as busy or crowded. This means I can get in and out quicker. The prices are a bit lower and the selection is sufficient, even if there's not as much to choose from as at Jewel.

Honetsly I do the bulk of may staples at a different store but I come here on a weekly basis for the deli, and meat prices. Sometimes for the produce but it varies with the other competitors in the area. Staff at the deli is pretty friendly and the store is clean.

The worst only go here if I have to. Most of the food and dairy is expired, this has happened so many times that is why I no longer shop there. Use to be my weekly shopping spot. Needs new management to stay on top of the expired meat, dairy, produce. Stuff should last longer than 24 hours.

Used to enjoy shopping here over 18 months. Recently experienced a couple of very rude and unprofessional behaviors by the staff members. One incident was that a cashier took off one of mangoes in a box as if I added additional one. She later realized that she was wrong. Another one happened today, they insisted that 4.99 instead of 3.99 posted in a sign on the meat area. They should have checked the sign on the area not just looking at the ad paper. Unfortunately today will be my last day there. I will never go back. More training and courtesy required.

Type of local grocery store that's either your main spot or a 4th option. No seafood at all unless you count frozen fish filets. But, they carry whole coffee beans from independent Wisconsin manufacturers. They have an in house bakery that makes great pastries, but their steak selection sucks. Shop the sale items and you'll make out. Shop the store and you'll leave wanting more from another store.

My family drinks a lot of distilled water and most of the time this Butera is out of Piggly Wiggly distilled water. About 25% of the time the carts are spread out all through the parking lot but there are no carts to use once you enter the store. The produce is good.
