Usually good assortment of fruits and vegetables....but kind of pricey. Watermelon $2-$3 higher than most. Staff said the cantaloupe were "candy cantaloupes and sign said they had "Calhoun peaches" but after driving highway 54 between LOZ and Illinois for almost 20 years and purchasing from farms, markets and stands these were not either! We stopped at a local stand in Camdenton yesterday that carried the boxes of Calhoun peaches that were printed so on the boxes and the peaches were a lot larger and much sweeter than these. Big difference in quality and taste. Calhoun peaches and Candyloupes are worth the extra $$ when they are the real deal. This fruit was ok, but nothing different than the chain stores have in stock. Had we lived close by I probably would have returned my purchase. Still a neat old farm market. Will stop again and take my time shopping. I had my grandson and wife waiting in the car and had to make it a quick stop. Just cutting the watermelon up now. Hope this is better.

Ackles always has fruits and veggies cheaper than the big grocery stores and only 5 miles outside of pittsfield, this trip we got 2 for $1 zucchini and bargain bin ripe cantaloupe $1.49 (little bruised on the outside, inside was good) kiwi 4 for $1 i have been going here since i was a kid now im 42 and it is still the same

Awesome staff and owners. Things may be a little pricier than a big store, but the quality is much better. We drive nearly 40mins to go here, and never regret it!

I always enjoy shopping at ackles. It has the best fresh fruit and vegetable selection in the area . The prices are very reasonable and staff is friendly . They also have candy, Watkins brand products, and local items you can get at the grocery stores like honey, caned vegetables, and jelly and jams.
