Really disappointed. My boyfriend and I love to go to local markets to get fresh and healthy food to better ourselves, and also to support and help local businesses, and this was one of our very favorites. Unfortunately though, when I went yesterday I bought $40 worth of fruits/veggies, got home, and noticed the bag of cherries I grabbed had mold on every single one. Normally I try to avoid returning because usually I can overcome a little mold. But since every, single, cherry had mold on it, we figured we might as well do something about it, especially considering it was $12 for a small bag... My boyfriend works in the same area as Reggie's Veggies so he went to return/exchange them for me today. I was sadly disappointed when he told me the man who helped him was extremely rude about the situation - my boyfriend didn't feel like he believed him and that he seemed to be in complete denial about his product. He made him very uncomfortable and awkward about the situation because it made him feel like he did something wrong, when the truth is it was simply the product that was not good to eat.
We are all about buying local and supporting markets, but looks like we will be going somewhere else from now on where they are welcoming and understanding to the fact that food is food and sometimes it gets moldy/old. We did end up getting our 12 dollars back, so thank you for that, but we feel like this shouldn't have been such an uncomfortable experience. We are more bothered and wrote this review because we feel something so simple was handled poorly and all we really wanted was some understanding. Bummer deal Reggie's. We most likely won't be back.
