This market is consistently bringing fresh and well priced produce to the local community. My family and I usually go in the cooler months because it becomes unbearable with the heat in the summer months. I find fruits and vegetables here that I would not find in my local grocery store. The staff that tends to the customers is always friendly, attentive, and willing to give you instructions on anything that you do not know how to cook. We often grab a bite to eat at one of the little pop-up restaurants in the village, and we have never had anything but tasty and fresh food. I recommend browsing through the flea market in the back as we have found a few treasures along the way.

Love it I just went for the second time. Better day to go is Sunday. Is more crowded but more products variety, also all the stores and restaurants are open. They have live music. Is a different fun spot to get your fruits and veggies, not at a boring supermarket, prices are much cheaper and exotic fruits and vegetables if you can call it that way. Also they sell natural supplements in a type of small town pharmacy, the owner have small size bags so you get to try new products, spices, seeds.

We went today, Saturday, during President's Day weekend and there was not a lot of people. Most of the outdoor walkways were dilapidated. The indoor market has lots of vendors with fresh looking produce, however most of them don't put out a price sign so you have to ask. We bought green beans and duck eggs from a grandma/grandson vendor which had green beans for $1 per pound. We grabbed three handfuls and paid $1. The green beans were actually about 5 oz under a pound when we weighed it at home. We got 15 duck eggs for $10 which is comparable to outside market price. Overall, the prices for produce were much higher than other market prices. The outdoor market is very expansive with long walkways of household and clothing goods. You could even make copies of your keys and make alteration of your clothes. There is a small kiddie play area where your kid could pay to take pony rides or ride an inflatable swan in an inflatable pool in circles. If you are coming west or south from SW 248th St / Coconut Palm Dr, you can enter through Packing House Rd and park in a very, very small lot at the end if you're lucky. The bigger parking lot is on the other side but you have to enter from the north side on SW 244th St. Parking is free. Robert's Pet Shop is very fun to browse. They have a caged pen on the outside with roosters, chickens, and adorable baby pigs; this is definitely not your usual pet shop. There were a couple food vendors on the outside and in the inside market with a moderate crowd of people. The menus that I have seen were in Spanish so go-figure the cuisine. I'd probably come again to try the supposed authentic Mexican food, or if I ever want to have a pet chicken, but otherwise this would be my first and last visit.

I visited this place yesterday for the first time. The market area was wonderful but I can't get the pet shop out of my mind. This is such a sad and depressing place for animals. It is overcrowded. Little food and water is left out for the animals. The guests can poke at and grab the animals. I noticed a little girl jabbing her pink umbrella at the chickens and then later inside the store at the other animals. One of the chickens was dying. The birds where all crowded into wire bottom cages. This is animal hell. I felt terrible and helpless when I left this place. It should be shut down! They clearly have no care or concern for the animals they sell.

Some of my purchases include chirimoya, custard apples, starfruit, dragon fruit, sugar apples, sapota, and other hard to find tropical fruits at reasonable prices. I have also found an amazing variety of papaya, guavas, Incredible varieties of mangoes, and just picked cornucopia of fresh vegetables. I'm Salvadorean and the pupusas from pupuseria Las Palmas are really good. They are very similar in taste to the ones made in my home country. This was the first time that I went to this flea market and I realized that you can find a variety of good fruits for an excellent price. Next time I'm definitely going to try some bomb mexican food, the smell gets you hungry righ away. I definitely recommend this place and I don't mind driving till Homestead to eat deliciously for an affordable price.

Will leave wondering what to eat next. Then after you eat and had your fill make your way over to the stage, grab a cold beer and sit back and watch and listen to to the live bands and people dancing to the sounds of our Latin music. Nice flea market. You can find pretty much everything & more. There is kids entertainment a big bounce house. I would just say be aware of the prices for some things they try to sell it higher than what it atcually is in my opinion. So much food variety love it. They also have a fresh produce of veggies & fruits. They also sell real plants. Every vender accept cash only but there is an ATM inside in the back by the jewelry section or just take out at a gas station before entering. Parking is a bit of a pain but people are always leaving so you will find one. Bathrooms are maintained nice & clean. I enjoy coming here instead of Miami flea markets.

From our place is far away, but it's worth the drive. Been a Friday the mall is one third open, Saturday & Sunday are in full swing :-) Our friends bought Vegetables & Herb's. Wife bought a Jasmine plant. As we were leaving found Chef Brian open & try their Cod Croquet & Meat Fritters. Must try the fritters that comes with the sauce, Delicious. The Cud Croquet are awesome too. Next time will come on a Saturday :-)
