Happy hour is good. Duck fat fries are excellent. First time having them. Cheese on top and flavorful dip terrific. Pizza cooked to crispy perfection with high quality sausage and prosciutto. Big disappointment was corn ravioli with blue crab. No flavor to speak of and seemed like it was under a warming lamp too long. Sent this back.

Service stinks. Super slow, cold food, we watched it sit on the counter and had to ask for it. You have enough customers, how about you staff properly or get your people to hustle? Addendum to give them back 3 extra stars: they acknowledged bad service and fixed it. Food was very good.

I will admit that I don't go to Locale Market very often, perhaps a few times a year. The main reason I go is to get dry aged ribeyes. Every time I went, I would get a dry aged bone-in ribeye. Alas, Locale did not have any available, only boneless. In fact, their meat counter offerings were significantly reduced. They used to have a huge selection of dry aged meats available. I would have just gone with it... except... The interior of the place has changed greatly. There used to be a dedicated section for cured meats and cheeses, which has been replaced by a section for more wines. There is more seating for dining, but at the cost of reduced offering of infused olive oils, vinegars, and preserves. The variety of cheeses is practically nil. It's also extremely cramped, especially for disabled patrons. What used to be a treat for me to go to is now ... well, frankly, a great inconvenience. I have to wonder. Is Locale trying to be more of a restaurant now rather than a distinguished grocer? It is possible to be both, but it seems to focused more on the former than the latter. Disappointing.

The market never fails to under deliver. Such a great concept and great selection, but the service is always pretty terrible. Expect to always have to find someone to make a pizza or sandwich, or whatever. Expect the “hot bar” foods to look over cooked and old, the grill to be crazy slow. And most importantly, always expect to have to clean a table. I’ll probably wander in again in another 3-6 months to find the same situation.

We love visiting Locale Market when we are in the area, what an amazing specialty market/store with a bar and restaurant on the second floor. Dangerous to shop if your hungry, you'll end up buying everything like I do :). We did find one of our locally owned Tampa Favorites there...The Chill Dill Pickles!!!!

Our friends and us used to love Locale but our recent experience with them giving me the wrong credit card back and my not finding out until the next day leaves a lot to be desired. I had to cancel my credit card and it was hassle to get credited for the charges that were not mine. We spent nearly $200 for two people with a $30 server tip. Pretty expensive for average food. We will not eat there again and neither will our friends and family.

Swanky little market filled with gourmet local and imported food. Lots of To-Go menu items including build your own hot bars, deli sandwiches, Korean bowls,and burgers. Perfect for a quick snack right before the movie or take home. Good selection of wines as well!

“What a great place” If you are looking for it - this place has it. From coffe and juice bars to sushi and butcher shops. You can grab a burger for lunch or groceries for dinner. This is one of the coolest concepts I have ever seen. I just wish there was one where I live. It would without doubt be where I shopped.

Okay - Locale has great food. Especially if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. The saint Petersburger is probably the best burger in the area... But stay away from the upstairs area - the service is awful. We had horrible table service a couple years back and gave them another chance - it's still horrible. I'd expect more from a place charging a premium. Sundial really is mostly a place for the tourists! The real food is further west on central.

Absolutely awesome. If not in the mood for a typical restaurant experience, dine here for fresh ideas and flavors. Would up buying gifts along with luscious meatballs and a yummi ginger chocolate bar. If I lived nearby I could see using their meat/seafood counter always. Try it out. You will be happy!

Updated review Jan 2018. Locale market... what a wonderful place to come have lunch. Beautiful outdoor seating but the real draw is the super wide variety of different foods to choose from. The Poke bar. Sushi. Sandwiches. Salads. It has definitely turned into a weekly if not multiple times a week kind of lunch place for me.

Nothing like a visit to Tampa and a plan to be at your store at 745, for an 8am breakfast. After all it’s advertised on your website that breakfast starts at 8am Stand in line and wait to be told that your grill doesn’t start until 9am. How about changing that on your website. It’s honestly sad that your actually not serving as your website says you are Most people have to be at work before 9am btw. I can make you a few more dollars by managing the breakfast area. Get them rolling at 7 for people wanting to eat.

This place amazing. Reminds me of Central Market back home in TX. They have different stations to visit for freshly prepared meals, chef inspired. Also huge beer selection and groceries which was perfect since I was in town for work and staying at hotel down the street. Last night I had the Hot Italian sandwich, tonight I'm back for the St Petersburger....holy cow it was huge, juicy, amazing. Fries could've been cooked a tad longer, but overall I was so full and impressed having only spent 18 bucks for a big ass gourmet burger, fries and a drink. I'll def be back next time I'm in town for business.

Fantastic high-end market in the heart of St. Pete. Everything comes with a high price tag, but they are selling convenience, variety and high quality. Fabulous "stations" of different foodstuffs, butcher, fish counter, specialty products, lots of organic and farm-to-table items, even a bakery and a dry-aging cold room for meats (which you can view through a window -- pretty cool!). Beautiful displays (someone really knows what they are doing, they way they combine items and arrange them). Cookbooks, cooking utensils, just about everything you need to create your own gourmet meal. Plus, of course, they also sell prepared foods to eat there, or to go. Be sure to check out upstairs too, great bar with truly creative craft-cocktails and some yummy happy hour specials (food-wise). Even if you don't buy anything, this place is worth it just to visit and walk through, you'll be impressed, I promise.Thinly staffed downstairs and high prices are my only complaints.

We had burgers at the Locals Market and they were really good. Took away a star because the bun was rather dry making it hard to swallow and another because the food was very pricey! $15 for a burger and doesn't even come with the fries, they're$2 more. Sweet potato tots were $3 extra. Alone they would've been like $11-$14 I think, for potatoes! But it was quite tasty, just WAY over priced. It was a cool place with good food however! Trendy so I guess you pay for it....

Foodies dream location! Great selection of meats, wines and all sorts of food items. Wines were exceptionally priced most user $20. Wonderful bar area for wines by the glass. Kitchen serving sandwiches, burritos and much more. Wide selection of premium cheeses and meats for purchase. They also have a meeting space upstairs for event and business gatherings. Definitely must stop by to view all the great offerings.

Spectacular! Something for everyone. If your group of friends has a vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, and bottomless pit, this is the place you can all agree on. I had an amazing blue cheese burger, but they also have burritos, sushi, steaks, ice cream, noodle bowls. Also have an amazing selection of beer and other hard to find seasonings and foods. Great place for a quick lunch. I will be back.

Love this place! My Corporate HQ is located in St Pete and this is a favorite lunch spot. Love the Poke bowls and variety of organic drinks. Also, one of the few places that offers dry aged beef. Treat yourself if you get a chance.

Locale is hit or miss for us. The wait time for food can be 10 min or 40 min even when it is not busy. Last night I had their pasta with marinara and meatballs. I like that they make their spaghetti fresh. However, it was hard in spots and clumped together. The meatballs were full of gristle. My husband had the hot Italian sandwich which he enjoyed. I also ordered a side of cheese fries. I waited over 35 minutes for the order of fries. The fries were delicious though. In the past I have done the salmon sandwhich, cheese steak, and burger which were all great.

A great place to grab something quick to eat. Overpriced but remember it is in the middle of a tourist town. Fun to check out the set up and food stations. Grab something and sit outside and watch the people go by!

Severely disappointed by this establishment. The quality has gone down of the food has gone down greatly. Prior to my most recent visit, I ordered their wings. They had very little sauce and the wings were extremely dried out. My most recent visit, I ordered the st petersburger. It was basically a soggy bacon cheeseburger with cheese wiz on top. I highly doubt I will visit Locale Market again.

I don't like to give bad reviews for anything, in fact if I give a bad review and take the time out of my day to write about it means I really mean it. This might also be just my experience though.. Two stars for the fun and energizing environment and for the interesting products being sold around the market area. The location was also very nice and in a good area of St. Petersburg. However, none of that matters when the food is below average, isn't fresh, and significantly more expensive than the average lunch stop. I did not find it worth visiting again for the amount I paid and low quality of food. My total bill in Locale Market was around $30 and I am disappointed to announce I was unhappy with everything I had ordered despite the hope that I was going to find something good. I ordered from the BBQ stand, before I ordered I saw the people empty out a plastic sealed bag of meat and dump it in the containers to serve. I didn't really think much of it because I am sure other food locations do the same and I just never see but enjoy it all the same. But when I tasted all the food, everything tasted so fake and synthetic. As a desert lover, I wanted to get the key lime pastry they had. It tasted below average.

I often have lunch here. They have a great selection of food. The salad bar is absolutely top notch. Food is fresh and displayed quite nicely. The location is fantastic and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I haven't tried it yet, but their aged beef looks like you could cut it with a fork. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because of the price. It's a bit pricey, even for St Pete eateries. If you go there, check on the weekday special. The weekday specials, which are about 40% off the regular price, are about where the food should be regularly priced.

I went to the Cheese and Charcuterie section in hopes of getting some good cheese and ham, the long haired gentleman behind the glass didn’t pay any attention to me and as I was about to ask for help, I witnessed him blow his nose with gloves on and then continue handling food with the same gloves and not wash his hands. I’m honestly so grossed out I had to leave. I would’ve asked for a manager - but no one was paying enough attention around to ask for one. Super disappointed.

Fantastic location! It’s the perfect mix between Whole Foods, a great food court and farm to table restaurant. When i walked in i thought this is amazing! They have wines and craft beers, honeys, all kinds of specialty breads and pastas and oils i can go on and on! I love it! We had a lobster roll and bbq rib sandwich with sweet potato tater tots. Everything was delicious and came out fairly quickly. If you have never been and have a chance to visit please do! It’s great and the staff is wonderful!

There are quite a few things not to miss at locale and most them are at the butcher counter. The dry-aged steaks are my all-time favorite! They seem pricey on the surface until you consider that the process makes everything shrink (and therefore concentrate in flavor). Smoking them on the egg is worth every second of prep time. Mazzarro's has dry-aged steaks too at a cheaper price, but the taste isn't as magical. The house-smoked pork bacon is THE best bacon I've ever had! I regret telling my friends since they seem to be out of it a lot now... They will also make beef bacon on occasion, which you can't get anywhere else around here. The sausages come in a large variety, including a green chorizo and blueberry! Lots of other tasty options throughout the store, some tucked away in small nooks so you have to either look closely or know what you're looking for.

First visit was a walk through since I was waiting for movie next door. Oh the salad station had great looking salmon and steak. So next day I arrived a bit early at 10:30 since I didn't know that 11am was when it was to be ready. Yes the salmon and steak, quinoa and curried califlower were excellent. The dark mushrooms a bit salty for me. I am no stranger to spicy and fermented foods from China or Korea. So a bit too much saltiness from the marinade or ?? Otherwise very good people throughout the experience. Met nice people while dining in. For fellow foodies I have large patch of sweet potato leaves on large lot. The sandwiches they make are some of my favorite in St. Pete, so savory and unique like the BBQ salmon burger and the black bean burger is the best in town. The items in the market have never let me down and the whole things give the feel of a open air market, so that is fun. Beer is cheap with a super wide selection because it is sort of grocery store style so you do not have to fret over that. They have a butcher, a seafood case, a creamery, pasta and salad vendor made fresh, southern and asian fare, like the sushi burritos are good. After you order your food or after you eat it you can browse the market and notice that they also sell local items. A great place to go after or before a movie at the Cobb or a stroll downtown, the parking lot for the movie theatre is usually only a dollar.

This place has a variety of stands with sandwiches, burgers, bbq, poke, and a variety of beverages. I had the Bahn Mahi which was bland and missing the carrots, daikon, cilantro and flavor. I was thinking about trying their burgers...but due to the bland mahi sandwich and no apologies from the cashier and cook this place wil not be visited by me again. The BBQ wings were definitely smokey flavored but needed seasoning. The pulled pork my son had was too wet(almost like a stew) and my son told me the collard greens seemed to be pulled out of the dead sea because it was too salty. The chicken wrap my daughter had was Ok, nothing stood out except the overall ambiance and clean look the place had.

Really enjoy Locale’s Daily Specials (especially the wings on Monday). Introduced my coworkers to the Taco Tuesday special and now we all eat there almost every week. What I don’t appreciate is the anxiety I now get when I’m limited to what I can put on my tacos by an hourly employee. I don’t know if it’s because of food costs or what but being told “for $5.99 we can only fit so much” EVERY VISIT makes me want to check out one of the other many Taco Tuesday specials within the city. I would rather pay an up charge than be limited on my options at a TACO BAR. I’m sure I’m not the only one rubbed the wrong way by this.

Elizabeth Brawley made my family a delicious Almond Cake for Thanksgiving. I must say it was the best dessert my family has ever had. A wonderful compliment to our Thanksgiving meal. The cake was moist and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back to try more of her desserts.

We enjoyed a St Petersbug Burger, pricey yes but worth every dollar. Added fries to my order and it was enough to share with three others. Another member of our group had a chicken special...excellent. A fresh salad and grab and go sandwich rounded out our selections. Also attended a private cocktail party and the selections were excellent. The seafood was fresh and full of flavor beautifully prepared and presented. I will return to Locale Market again and again. It is not a discount grocery...but a market offering high quality products locally sourced. Understand that concept and you will not be disappointed.

What a great place.They have everything you could want in a market.Prices are fair and what an assortment.What a pity they have not many people to help you.I went to pay for chips .First the person said she can’t take money.Then the next person rang it up and madam a simple mistake in giving change.The issue is she could not subtract 20 from 2.Whats worst is neither could the chef standing next to her nor the manager who came to help her.Then we went to the bar and no one was there to help us.We asked someone and they were so flabbergasted they did not know what to do.All we asked was for glasses.Then we went to-get a burger they gave us a buzzer to pick up.After 15 minutes I went anyway and they told me my buzzer doesn’t work by the bar.When I said it worked last week they said they changed the buzzer a month ago.Three different stations and 3 different people.Management is clueless.Its a great place to look while it’s open.

Excellent upscale market with lots of ready made options/made-to order meals. First time at Locale and the spicy salmon poke bowl was very tasty and fresh. I would not compare this to Whole Foods, Fresh Market or Trader Joes, because it has few of your necessary staples. It does have a small section of cleaning supplies, but not to the extent of a chain market. But, the quality of the food is right up there with Whole Foods. I look forward to trying out the meat from the butcher which looked top notch. This is definitely a go-to for a quick tasty meal or high-end ingredients, whether you eat it there or bring it home.

We found this market one late rainy night. The very pregnant young lady who was closing up the mexican station was very kind to help us get dinner. It was so good and she was very sweet even though we put her behind closing. Such an improvement over the hotel staff that sent us out in the rain. The second night we tried the salad bar (recommend the Champagne vinaigrette) and the pizza station. Like the mex, pick your crust, sauce, toppings, etc. This place really has something for everyone and pretty responsibly price.

Great market. You can find lots of high quality food here. Parking could be more difficult if you wanted to just pick something up quick, but there's always the garage. I highly recommend getting dinner there, great meal selections and unique cocktails.

The service was awful. There was a rude white haired lady at the Ramen Bar and it was obvious to me that her poor attitude caused a domino effect to the other employees. The cashier was trying to fulfill a customer request and the crabby white-haired lady snapped at her to “stick to the menu.” Also, the food was only a 2/5. The cashier was pleaseant enough, just led by the wrong person/team.

Nice spot with plenty of options, depending on your mood you more than likely to find some food to satisfy your appetite. It’s not the cheapest priced food but the quality was what you would expect, I liked how there was some local brews in cans for low $.

Currently at the St Pete night market and they have a tent with food out. One of the rudest, most disinterested in their job humans is running it. I'm not being sensitive either, she's clearly not interested in running a food tent tonight. Avoid this place tonight and maybe every night. No menu posted so I walk up and say, "Hey, what do you have?" She proceeded to sigh, look up from her phone but not at me, just off and to the right. Then she said, "3 tacos, a beer, 10 bucks. They're pork". I asked "Just pork?" I swear she never looked in my direction, just said "pork" again. I said no thanks and she just went back to her phone. It takes a real bad experience for me to leave this much information, this was really bad.

Photos don't do it justice. The aesthetics are warm and inviting. The staff is kind. The price reflects the quality of the food well. It's definitely a shop worth visiting for a variety of different foods.

We always enjoy coming here. Don't stress about finding parking--just go in the garage two blocks away! So happy that Sundial is a nice place to visit, versus the old Baywalk. Anyways, the veggie burger here is excellent, and there's lots of fun drinks and desserts to try. For the location and the fun the place provides, the prices are fair. I will say that often times the hot bar counters seem understaffed or like they are really stressed out. I like the option of the salad bar too, although I'm always worried I'm going to make a $15 salad accidentally. All together, it's a fun place to bring your family and even your well-behaved dog, as they have something for everybody, even if it is a little overwhelming at first due to the amount of options!

We really enjoy coming here in the evening and having quick bite. The food has always been great although we usually have to send our steaks back because they are either undercooked or over cooked. Great Burgers and I love the sushi rolls made by Tania Unfortunately we recently purchased some Marky's Caviar for about $80 an Once . We served it at a celebratory dinner and it was VERY disappointing. An extremely overpriced item As for their upstairs Restaurant we are not very impressed. We have been twice and although the service was very good the drinks where not and the meal lacked luster.
