The young lady that helped us was extremely helpful and very pleasant, she was a joy. I would definitely recommend this market. We drove from Sarasota just to visit this market, and it was worth the drive !

I was there to buy some produce. The butchers had left for the day and an employee had left the door open to the back. It was unclean and different cuts of meat remnants were all over the ground, cutters, and tables. The stench was unbearable. We bought some beef here previously and it was chalky and grainy. It seemed to be the ends of the filet because it was misshapen. I suppose the reason they have rock bottom prices is because they are getting the cuts of meats from farms that the farm can’t use. Never had such a tasteless, chewy, grainy, chalky tenderloin in all my life.

Wow!! This place has the best prices for any cut of beef you want. Fresh produce and pickled eggs in many flavors. They have fresh pork and chicken. Also have fish and seafood. I drive all the way from central port charlotte to grocery shop here. It's worth it trust me!!

We are very happy with our purchases today. This is not a glitz and glamour store. Still the people were very friendly and helpful. Prices are worth the drive but take a cooler to justify the drive if, like us, you drive about 60 miles one way to get there. In addition to the meat, the produce looked great too.

I come here every few months to buy a beef tenderloin to cut into steaks. You can get one for $49, as opposed to twice that at Sam's club. Delicious! Prices are worth the trip!

Meat is very inexpensive... don't expect frills, organic anything or produce that will last very long. Staff is ok. Some are friendly and some are not. This is a market. That's it and it's a little rough around the edges. It's worth the trip if you want to make your dollar go a little further to feed your family :-):-) :-)

I love k&j's! The people are friendly, three prices are good, the selection is usually great(every once in a while they run out of stuff, but they're usually busy lol). I've met a number of people who drive a decent distance(just like we do) to get food from k&j's. I know some people who don't like k&j's, it's just like any other business or product, everyone is gonna have their own opinions and likes/dislikes. Lol

I went there for the first time and purchased some t bones and ribeye steaks The tbones were not any good. The steaks were the toughest steaks i have bought. I didnt have time to marinate the steaks before cooking them. i didn't notice on the package what grade meat that it was. I should have known by the price it wasn't a quality grade meat. I have not tried the ribeye steaks yet I hope these are alot more tender than the tbones. i have only lived here a year now. We had a favorite butcher back home. We were hoping that this place was going to be our new butcher. Don't waste your money

I really love this place! I drive over an hour aeay just to go. It is located in Arcadia Fl. Its a produce and meat market. All fresh. They butcher the meat right there and will even cut loins down to what you want. Steaks they will cut to the desired thickness that you want. I believe most of the produce is locally picked from the Farms. And one really cool thing I like going in to get is all the fresh jellies jams Salsa's salad dressings Exedra. They are all fresh and canned from the local Mennonites. And they are very yummy. I actually have a blueberry jam sitting in my fridge right now. Check it out you will keep going back and back. The quality is good I have only had one instance with chicken. The selection is good. The customer service is great. It's where I do all my bulk shopping on meat I try to go once every two months

I live in Charlotte County and K & J Produce is in Desoto County, it is worth the trip. Everything seems to be reasonably priced. Tight corners and spaces to be expected. All different kinds of meats and cuts, fresh and frozen veggies. All kinds of seasonings and spices. They don't sell breads other than tortillas. Like I said, "worth the trip"!

They generally sell produce and meats. Prices on meat is good, produce prices are about average. Small store and it was very crowded. You need to get there early as it seems that they fill there refrigerators before opening. Pickings were not choice, when we got there at 10 am. It was our first time there and was not impressed.

It's easy to drive by this unpretentious structure, but don't. While they have veggies, we go for the meat. The beef, pork and chicken are all priced significantly cheaper than any chain supermarket and frankly taste much more flavorful. The difference, especially the beef, is noticable and consistent. We bring a cooler.

Produce was stacked impressively with a huge selection. No organic options. Cryovaced beef was a steal especially for Choice, the poultry was scarey looking in the cases wouldnt buy even though it was cheap. All seafood was frozen certain items were worth it. Would go back for a big purchase of smoking meat, pork & beef.

Hidden Gem to those outside of Arcadia. Great produce and great deals on meats. My household has to travel about an hour to get to the location, but it's worth it. The cashiers handle the ebb and flow of large crowds well. We will be back.

The best produce Stand and then hiding behind all those beautiful vegetables at such reasonable prices is a meat department. They have black Angus grass-fed meat from local farmers. They have special jars of homemade relishes jellies pickles. They also have fish at a very reasonable price little neck clams Frozen and vacuum sealed. We make a trip which is about 35 to 40 minutes but it is well worth it. Then make sure it's around lunch time so you can go back into town and have lunch at Margaret Mary's Tea House. After lunch take a walk through all the antique shops you never know what you might find.

They have a nice variety of fresh produce. Also they have a huge array of fresh meats. There is also some frozen seafood. Everything is very reasonably priced. They have Boar's head meats and cheeses already pre-sliced and vacuum sealed. There is a dairy section with milk, cream, butter, eggs. The butcher in the meat department is friendly and accommodating as to what you may need. They carry other food items too numerous to name. Stop in they are friendly. A great little store.
