Very disappointed... awhile back we ordered 40 lbs of chicken thighs and they were cold and easy to separate into freezer bags as there are only 2 of us. Ordered another 40 lbs of chicken thighs and this time the order was frozen solid(4 bags 10 lbs each). Would not trade the frozen thighs for fresh. They said to defrost it then separate it and refreeze itwhich is not safe to do. Was not very nice to my wife on the phone. Had to use a screwdriver and hammer to separate it into smaller size shredding it. Lousy attitude, bad advice, will not be going back to harvest meat market at 540A and 98 any more... spreading the word !!!

Love this meat market only flaw they have in my book is that lastweek I bought a pack of hamburger for less then $10 today is bogo and the price per pack is almost $20 so you're really not getting bogo.

Harvest Meat Market is absolutely a fabulous place to shop! Especially if you are feeding a lot of people in your home! You can buy family package meats with prices that are absolutely unbeatable. I have shopped at Walmart, Winn Dixie and Publix for Meats and Harvest still has them all beat on price. Thank you Harvest for the Awesome Meat cuts, awesome prices and Awesome Service as well. I love Harvest! I've been to the Crystal Lake location and the Bartow Road location, and I'll never go anywhere else when I need to stock up on meat. They're clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they have a butcher on hand for custom cuts at the Bartow location. The first time I visited the Bartow store, they actually had a guy walking around asking customers if they wanted anything cut fresh. The only thing I've not been thrilled with there is the chicken breast; they're a bit bland and sometimes have an odd consistency. I still buy it sometimes, because it's so much cheaper than anywhere else I've found, but only to make in casseroles or similar dishes where the chicken flavor isn't supposed to stand out as much. But I love love love the steak, ribs, pork chops, ground beef, chicken wings/thighs, etc. Plus, Pork chops and ground beef are always BOGO, and everything else is BOGO on and off. This is the only place I can justify buying steak, because I can get five lbs of most cuts for the same price as 2 at my usual grocery store. And teachers get 10% off, which is a huge bonus!

I have never seen a cleaner meat market...and the staff, the best you could ask for...and that is simply because the owners are absolutely the nicest couple you could ever meat..Lol get it....meat.....I feel so welcomed when I go in ..I love this place...I actually look forward to going in. Also if you want to save money...lots of money...be sure and pick your meats up here...you will Get 3 steaks for the price of 1 at the other larger stores...mentioning no names. I have always shopped at the bigger stores for my meats...again mentioning no names. I am very picky about the freshness flavor and the tenderness....and the really great thing is ...they have anything you need. I promise you won't be sorry give it a try.

Gave them a 5star before but not now. The meat was always a little off but then they had good prices. Meat don't taste right here and they charge more than Publix. Store is dirty and staff discussing on what they federal government says they can and can't do now. Really strange especially in front of a customer. Place looks empty alot now. What is this leftovers

I usually have a great experience here. We buy a lot of meat for a family of 3 as well as 4 raw fed dogs. Service is usually fantastic and they usually have great deals. My only complaints are that when the ground beef was BOGO, it was $3.99 a pound but when it's not BOGO its $1.99 a pound. Also, I went in once a while back and found chicken backs which my dogs love. The next time I went in there were none. I asked the cashier and she said they have never carried chicken backs. But, they do, you just have to order them by the case if they dont have any up front. I found that out much later. If i had known months ago, I would have ordered at least a case a month. It seems like she was too busy telling us how to cook gizzards, even though I told her they were for my dogs.
