This Fruit Store is included in the category of Park.
Beautiful natural park. Lots of fruit trees and plants.
Was here for the redlands international orchid show. The park is amazing show or not so its worth the visit
This place is awesome for a Sunday afternoon day-date. Super friendly staff. You can walk around without taking a tour, and any fruit you find on the ground, you can keep. I came home with a bag of what would probably have costed me $50+ from Whole Foods. Can't wait to do it again.
This is the perfect place to go with your family and see and learn about fruit trees and other plant species from different regions of the world. You can taste fruits that are in season or just take a walk about this gem of a park.
I love this place, but it has down graded. The fruit trees aren't taken care of, most of them are dead, poor maintance in the whole park. No more signs on the trees to identify them. They've lost their touch
Very relaxing place great for families and couples looking to have a relaxing day
A must visit place for fruits lover. They have Manny different varieties of tropical fruits. I was joyful seeing many fruits after a long time.
Employees were friendly. Very informative.
What a wonderful part!! I enjoy going to the events F & S Part has - look for them. thanks for reading
This was one of my go-to places when I lived in South Florida. Vivid memories of my two young sons picnicking there. If you are a Tropicalist like me, then this Park is a must. Just as the name states, it's a park with just fruits and spice trees that will grow in South Florida. Awesome!
Tour guide was very passionate and knowledgeable. Delicious fruit samples in the gift shop. Well worth the $10 admission.
I was very excited to buy avocados in this place so I order a box of $47. When I open the box they only send me 2 avocados for $47 I send them a email and their only answer was that they recommend the large box! I don’t think is fair to pay so much for only 2 avocados! And that is not including the shipping which I was fine to pay... my whole order was -around $79 but for two avocados incredible but true.... I feel like my money was stolen with no mercy. Do not buy in Miami fruits
My husband and I had a great tour. We got to taste a lot of exotic fruit. The park is well maintained and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. A fun afternoon of learning about trees, plants, seeds. Would visit here often if I lived in Florida.
Nice and calm, great for walking and check out the fruit's, good customer service, lovely place . Parkyis very convenient.
Beautiful area with lots of different fruit trees
Good, you can.learn new facts about differents plants and you can share in family a relax time
Great place. There are different kinds of food and you can have a taste of different fruit at the entrance. You can have the food that have been dropped on the ground.
There is admission fee. They have samples inside the entrance/gift shop. The park is large with lots of varieties of tropical exotic fruits such as jackfruit, jambu wax apple, sapotes, bananas, mangos, etc. The rule is you can't pick off the tree. If it falls on its own, you are allowed to eat the fruit. Be careful because some may be toxic. Make sure to bring a paring knife to peel and open the fruits. Lots of mosquitos as well. It is nearby tropical fruit farms nearby as well. They have a handout of suggested farms for purchasing fruits.
This place is a garden of eden for tropical fruits and plants. The folks at the front desk are very friendly.
Direction boards are not maintained. Hard to find fallen fruits to eat.
We went to the orchid show here which we heard is the biggest orchid show in the world. A lot to see and choose from if you're wanting to get any orchids.
A nice place to visit and learn about all the different tropical fruits that can grow in south Florida, you can also get a taste of whatever is in season and learn how to plant and care for the tree.
One of a kind, tropical fruit park with exotic delights from all over the world. Many types of bananas, mangos, citrus fruits, spices, carambola, jackfruit, sapote, papaya, mamey, guanabana, dragonfruit, wax jambu... the list is nearly endless. The free tram tours are a great way to see this 37 acre property. The gift shop and main entrance is a recreation of the historic one room schoolhouse that local children attended in the early 1900s.
So interesting to learn about so many different sources of fruit. Fun take if you love nature
definitely not worth it in March. no fruit. No tags on trees to identify them.
I was there for the annual Redlands blues and barbecue festival. It was pretty good!
Dont miss the next Orchids International Festival. You can enjoy the beauty and big variaty of this flowers. You can buy foreign orchids brought from Hawai, Thailand, Honolulu, Ecuador, Colombia, apart of that ones grown here in Miami.
Love it hear! Great orchids!
It was fantastic! I would definitely go again next year in cooler temperature. The tram tour is a must. I can imagine that it gets really hot there in the summer.
This park is spacious, and well kempt. It is an educational as well as an enjoyable experience. Extremely kid friendly..
Love going to the Mango Cafe at the Fruit and Spice park! Great food and love the staff!!
Beautiful park! The walkways through the bamboo and the banana trees are my favorite! Always check out the gift shop
Love going to festivals here and walking around the grounds with my kids
This is a great place to spend the day! Fruit is good. Who knew there were so many different breeds of bananas!
This place is huge Have lots of plants and tree. Got a guided tour. Worth the money. He showed and explained plants and tree. What are their use. If is edible. He also let us try the fruit and plant. Very educational. I would recommend to bring your kids there. There is also a cafe there you can get some fresh fruit drinks there.
The park is really nice with a large selection of trees and plants and a relaxing lagoon. They handed us a mango right at the entrance which was very nice. The iguanas are large but friendly. The water lilies are gorgeous. During summer time is hot but a great way to spend the day either way.
Different kinds of fruits there, recommended
Amazing place to chill and getaway from the hustle/bustle of the city. It has some interesting fruit trees and occasionally (during festivals) you can taste them and learn a bit more...
The events aren't as good as they use to be.
So fun! Great your guide
Great place to enjoy tasting food that can be grown in this climate
Mango Cafe is a great quick lunch!
Someone disappointed in the maintenance of the garden. Much different from previous visits.
Pretty Good the tour was quite nice the young man was very polite & knowledgable regarding the different trees & fruits. He took time out to let us sample some of the fruits along the tour. Enjoyed the tour. To walk the place alone is a bit over whelming it's quite big & not all the trees are marked some of trees weren't marked. Didnt have a sign so one didn't know what they were.
I always enjoy this place. Hundreds of tropical fruit trees and always learning something new on the train ride. I highly recommend you visit this place. Don't forget to taste some of the fruit samples.
The Asian festival here is always great to come to and its a beautiful park to walk in honestly.
I had an amazing time here with my parents and would highly recommend it. The tour of I think 40 acres of different kinds of plants and trees was really interesting and informative. My guide was Iva and she went over and beyond answering all of our questions as she drove us through the park during our tour. She was very knowledgeable and gave us some really interesting info on the plants including health benefits. Afterwards she gave my mother and I some literature about one of the plants we were asking about. She even gave us a baby curry tree which we were asking about as well as a coconut so we could plant it as well. You are not allowed to pick any fruit from the park but you are allowed to ask for a seed or seedling. Inside the visitor center, one of the other staff members, Brad offered us some cut fruit and coconut meat and even opened a cold sweet coconut for us to drink. Both Brad and Iva went over and beyond to make sure we had a fun and memorable and informative experience. The other staff members we met in passing were kind and helpful as well. I highly recommend to go here! It's a gorgeous place!
Brilliant collection. 1hr guided tour was very informative and worth it Fruits from all over the world are planted here. We get to taste a few of them during the guided tour( only with their permission)
Such a great experience. So many exotic fruit trees. Can't wait to go back and enjoy a stroll by myself.
I truly enjoyed the fruit festival! The mangoes, avocados and basically everything was absolutely wonderful. We definitely will return!
Beautiful place to walk around and look at all the fruit trees. Map was not as clear as it could have been, so we got a bit turned around, but was a fun family outing.
If you love plants and you're interested in learning about tropical fruits this place will be great for you. Its very informative actually also if you're lucky on the day you choose there might be a festival happening. I love this place
Beautiful but many trees unlabeled
Very great place to learn about plants and relaxing as well. Your guides are absolutely fantastic!
We went a little after 4 o’clock (closes at 5) and honestly didn’t expect to be able to walk the land, but I still wanted to ask because it’s my favorite place in Miami. They let us in, were super polite & this was my best experience visiting. The woman working gave me an avocado to take home as we were leaving. It’s my birthday today and she didn’t even know it, and it honestly made my entire day. The same guy is always working there which makes me feel like he really knows what he’s talking about. He’s so polite, as well as the other staff members. This place is beyond kid friendly and a foodie heaven. I’ve never had a bad experience here
The blues and bbq festival was alot of fun, park is beautiful with a great variety of Fruit and Spice trees. Food was very good although a little expensive for outdoor messy picnic food.
Lots of fruit to try. Especially mangoes. Even had jaboticaba tree.
Awesome blues day with food and music. Ton of people and good vibes
Great park, beautiful exotic fruit trees
They are basically charging you to walk through a park. Very little fruit to taste amd most of the trees are not labeled so you dont know what you can try and cant. They charge $10 to just walk through. Waste of time and money.
Love this horse friendly park. Great ride to lunch. Fabulous lunch. Horses even enjoyed the chips! Meet old friends and make new friends. Tie outs are nicely built. Large outdoor picnic tables can also be used as mounting blocks.
One of the most beautiful places to visit in South Florida
One of my favorite places to go. The park is incredibly stocked with cool, useful plants you've never heard of and the staff is very happy to tell you all about them. You get to taste what's in season at the entrance building for no extra cost. The tour is good or fantastic, depending on who is giving it. In the cool months I love to bring my dog here and stroll around. Definitely worth a visit.
Amazing place!!! Very nice people working there. The guide is amazing, very knowledgeable and nice!!!
Good park with a lot of mangos and different fruit trees best time to go I think is in June and July when mangos and other fruit are ripe
That’s the only park I found in whole florida that has different plants and Awesome to explore around. Best time to visit June July for lot of fruits!!
Loved it nice people managing the place thanks for the miracle fruit
Awesome place to spend the day with the family and tour the grounds of African, Asian, Tropical, South American, and West Indian Exotic Plants, Fruits, Trees, Plants, and Greenhouses. Very well kept and maintained Park.
This is a must see for anyone who loves plants, fruit, or food! The staff was super helpful and accommodating. They had fruit samples when we arrived and yours allow you to taste even more. You can walk around on your own and eat anything that has already fallen which was super fun. Fruit comes seasonally do look before you go to see what will be fruiting.
We enjoyed the park on a field trip. Recommend to bring water, hat/glasses and sunscreen. Very hot
Love this place. Always great for gardening inspiration. And the lobster roll at the cafe is worth the trip on its own.
One of the best places we visited while on vacation. Were out driving around and came across this beautiful Park!!! We just came across it. But if you are in the area a must for your list of activities to do!!!! Make sure you plan and give yourself a good amount of time to enjoy all that is offered. Make sure you stop by the store before leaving and pick up a few things offered! They also have free samples of the ripe fruits and such that are in the park!! You have never tasted a banana like one right off the tree !
variety of trees, naturally summer fruit and spices, and a lagoon. Today there was a blues & BBQ Festival.
Serene atmosphere and diverse selection of trees, spices and fruit! Tram tours - highly recommended!
Love this place for a family day. The staff is very friendly, the tours are very educational and what is best is that they let you eat the fruit in the park as long as you know what it is and as long as you don't pick it from the tree. You can bring a picnic or eat at the cafe that they have which serves very good food.
I enjoyed my visit to this park . It was very educational and the tour guide was very knowledgeable:she was like a computer. I am hoping that all the fruits we saw is given to charity and not left to rot under the tree since they are not allowed to sell the fruits.
South Florida is probably the best and one of the only locations in the United States to grow tropical fruit trees. I love tropical fruit trees and thats why this park is one of my favorite places in Miami. The website says that the park opens at 9:00AM everyday except Christmas and ThanksGiving. It opened at 10:00AM during the Summer Fruit Fest. I arrived at 9:15AM with a one year old. Its hard to kill time with a one year old. You may want to edit your website to clarify that times may vary during festivals and check the festival flyer.
Worth a quick stop to take photos and to enjoy some lovely trees etc. The $8 entry fee felt a bit high to me.
Very cute date idea with the one you love. Lots of fun if your a naturer lover, also cute little resturaunt to grab a bite at as well.
I always look forward to my delivery! I've been ordering from them a year or so! New fruits and it was a trial and error, started out getting sample boxes to try exotic fruit and then started getting bulk boxes for what I liked! Thank you Miami Fruit!!!
For any person wanting to try tropical fruits or missing their native fruits from their country, you can probably find it here. Weather permitting, they offer tram rides where they show you around the property. The admission is cheap and you can eat all the fruit available.
The friendliest and most knowledgeable folks work here. They have a tram driven tour during the day, or you can walk the grounds. Taste various fruits for free inside the main building, or enjoy any of the fallen fruit on the grounds. A beautiful way to spend an afternoon.
A wonderful place to only see the different varieties of tropical fruits around the globe, range from Africa to Asia. It cost $10 per person to get in the park. The best part is that you get to taste the fruits if you wanted to. The bad thing is that you can only eat the fruits if its on the ground. You are not allow to pick the fruits from trees and Lots of the time, the fruits are rot proir to fall to the floor. Go see it for yourself.
This place is beautiful and if you are fruit lover than you must visit this lots of mangoes...
Excellent experience! Tram tour is best! There is a small cafe which has decent food and beverages. Worth the visit.
Very informative tour included with the relatively inexpensive admission price.
No fruits on the floor, signs were hard to read, and had a poisonous fruit. Some deadends. At least had nice employee's
Great place to see and identify tropical plants and trees... Loved it.
Love the fruit and spice park and their tours. I went with my son a few years back and it was a great experience. Decided to attend their summer fruit festival this year. My advice...skip the festival! No tours and they make it sound like there will be lots of wonderful exotic fruits to sample. In reality, the "festival" is a mini farmers market and mostly booths for random stuff like doughnuts and the local history museum. Also skip the smoothies at the mango cafe. They could be serving pure fruit smithies from the park, instead they add lots of sugar.
Interesting place. Kids liked it. They don't let you pick fruit just what fell on the floor. Nothing on the floor besides rotted fruit.
Loved it it's beautiful accessable parking.Great place to learn about all sorts of plans and fruit. One can try the fruit as well. The staff is sweet and respectful.Great experience.
Beautiful garden, fascinating plants and the tour guide was full of great info.
Very nice tourist attraction. Great for adults, kids and whole famiilies. Very educational
Its a nice place to explore nature with kids, make sure to take plenty if water, comfortable shoes and snacks, you can even have picnic. Take also sunscreen and a pocket knife in case you find any fruit on the ground you would like to try. There's a tour where they drive you arround the park and describe every kind of tree there is. They even have a nice cafe where you can have a snack. Its a nice place to be on nature
Went to the Asian festival for a 3rd year. I always have a great time. This year they had a lot of shows, more food! Simply awesome!
This place is really unique. I hope to go back and try the cafe.
Go during the summer when most of the 285 different varieties of fruit are blooming. Then you can have eat so much different fruit you never tried before
Place was very natural and enjoyed with the family. Because of the time of the year December, there were not many fruits around. Also, at th entrance the attendant didn't put any fruit sampler. Overall, a good place to go, probably with bit more attention from the staff.
Thought it was a pick and pay... It isn't.
Love it here... they have a cocoa tree thriving on florida. Awesomeness!!!
Nice to walk around and look at all the amazing fruit trees. They also have a lot of events that you can attend.
Not far from home grate place to go with my kid
Nice place if you like to nature walk. They have different length of walking trails. Beside they have different activities at the park. Just check out their site. I had a awesome time!
Great place for the family...if you like to be outdoors.
If you are interested in agriculture or cooking you will love this destination off the beaten path. You'll run through miles of farms and crops to get to the smallish, nondescript parking lot. Once there, make sure you take the tram trip (included with your $8 entrance fee). It's a guided trip and a wealth of information on the fruit, nuts, spices that grow there (hundreds of them). We sampled a number of items right from the trees. I was surprised to learn that it's now run by the county. The grounds (in November) were a bit unkempt. One would expect that a garden/park would be a little more manicured but that's just a small observation. Do go! Learn about the origins of many interesting things we eat. What does your coffee look like as a bean on the tree? How do bananas grow and which direction should the cluster be pointing for the edible ones? What do your favorite spices like Nutmeg and Allspice look like when they are growing? Would be GREAT for kids.
Great family fun. Educational. Large variety of native and exotic fruit.
I love plants and this is a lovely park filled with all sorts of tropical flora and fauna. At the Growfest festival we were able to sample many of the tropical fruits, attend a cooking contest that included many exotic ingredients, and more. I highly recommend.
It was absolutely wonderful! I took my mom during the summer fruit Festival. Although we could not go in then, my sister took her again and they went inside. They love the trolley ride, making it a very memorable outing for our 89 year-old mother.
Great Asian festival. Nice performances and fresh food.
We should have these type of parks in every city so that local schools can take kids on educational trips there.
This park in awesome. When you walk into the office they have different fruit samples for you to try. The tour guide was great, you taste some of the fruit as you go thru. They even recommend you stop at Robert is Here fruit stand. Which was great by the way.
Amazing place. Take the tour. Not recommended for children during the summer.
Fruit and Spice park is a very nice spot in Homestead. There are so many different fruits and spices, and they have tram tours to learn even more about some of the things you see.
Hidden gem! This place was great. All you can eat fruit, all day entry, passionate workers. When we went there wasnt alot of fruit, but you havebto expect that fruit is seasonal and depending on the number of visitors and the recent environmental issues could affect the produce
Loved walking & exploring the vast grounds. 100+ year old fruit trees, samples of exotic fruits in the gift shop. Awesome experience to take a stroll & be welcome to any falling fruit as you go. There was even a big area where park staff had hung up bunches of mini bananas for patrons. Great experience
Very nice place You get to understand tropical trees information and trees from tropical counties There is a guided tour in open tram Guide is good and you can explore your self If you can go in the morning that would be good to having less heat. Plus you can pick few of the fruits from the park A half day visit to refresh yourself
It was really informative, I enjoyed seeing plants from all over the world. I recommend it if you want to escape from the daily stressful routine.
Awesome place, a large variety of plants from and fruits
Great place to visit and check out and try new things. A must see.
Awesome people, awesome tour.
Wonderful fruit park, u can forage anything thats fallen. Went home with so much! Loved the betel leaf vines! Great for family fun..highly recommend.
Mangos was a great little cafe. The food was fresh and tasty
Wonderful tour guide who has worked there for 13 years! Very informative.
Love attending the different events here.
Very fun and great way to try some new fruits. Park staff are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you can think of!
I love the Seafood festival, I tried the Conch fritters and they were perfect! The gift stands have beautiful and unique gifts.
Attended the 29th annual Asian Festival. Great food and great entertainment.
Exotic fruit on display - can try out various ones during your visit only, not available for sale...
So many different and exotic species of fruits. And the staff is very knowledgeable.
Go during the Mango season and you will not be disappointed. But go with your own knife, napkins, paper plates.
Super nice park! A lot of different fruit trees, interesting place!
Great to see new types of fruits and get samples. Make sure you take the guided tour.
Orchid Show is awesome! So many beautiful orchids!
It's a beautiful place.
Incredible! A wide variety of plants from around the world. You are allowed to eat the fruit off the ground so my boyfriend and I enjoyed fresh mangos on the lake. Our dog also loved walking around and exploring!
Nice place ,good size. Nice for a walk or jog. Great place to hold an outdoor event. This park is primarily a park. No water slides or anything extra. Just a quiet place to walk or picnic with ponds and a good variety of plant life.
If you love nature and healthy nutrition this is a great place to visit whether there is a festival or not. Be prepared for a bit of a ride to get there. It's worth the time.
Absolutely delightful! An oasis so camouflaged right in the city. This is like what central park is to NYC. I'll take this over central park though. So many fascinating species, scary looking large but friendly iguanas guarding their turfs, wonderful fragrant plants and of course yummy fruits to taste! Can you tell that I was loving every minute of the tour!?! This is a must see!
When you go to the park, make sure you take the tour. Alot of information. Huge the good luck tree!
Fun day walking around looking at different plants and trees. The free tour was also fun to go on. Great day for the family.
They take you around explaining the diversity of trees very interesting
Truly beautiful experience. Loved the visit, learned alot
Amazing fruits from all over the world along with interesting facts and knowledge about them. The Mango Cafe there has an incredible menu with high quality ingredients that produces meals that will never disappoint. They also have at least one event a month with my 2 favorite ones, Summer Fruit Tastings and Mango Madness. Highly recommended for school children, anyone who has a garden or has been thinking about one and a must see for the mango lover.
Fantastic visit, highly recommend, all kinds of exotic fruits, trees, nice walking park
A must place to see around Miami. One hour amazing tour between 700 different type of trees. Our leader Andrew was fantastic and knowledgeable.
This a beautiful, lush park that showcases tropical plants from all over the world. They usually give tours but as went when there was a festival that option wasn't available. I am only giving 4 stars because I was expecting a bit more from the event I attended. But I will definitely be back again.
Very informative, great to be able to taste such a variety of things. Tour guide Brad was excellent.
I love this place. It's so serene and beautiful and there's so many types and varieties of fruit trees.
Nice little piece of property and kool events there
We loved this place. Make sure you take the tour! They'll point out many things you may not notice. Once that's done, you can walk around and eat anything. We came in the winter so only certain fruit were in season, but we are planning on returning in the summer!
I have been here a couple of times and while the grounds are nice, there is not much to do. During festivals there are vendors and other local people showcasing their fruits. Wish there were more variety of food vendors during the events, so many opportunities to showcase the local fruits in food.
This was a one of a kind park that made for an absolutely memorable trip. We opted for the tour and found ourselves on a personal tour by an incredibly knowledgeable guide. (It was only personal because no one else signed up.) What made this spectacular was the different fruits we were able to sample. (Please note the rules, be respectful and don't pick the fruit off the trees.) If you're on your way to the Everglades or on your way back, this park is definitely worth checking out.
Great place to visit if you're driving through Homestead. The staff is friendly and there's plenty to see if you're into plants, like me. The canistel fruit is the best I've ever tasted. There's a miracle fruit bush that leaves your tongue unable to perceive sour temporarily, so try a berry before eating a piece of guava. We had fun face-painting ourselves with the annatto tree fruit and eating fallen fruit.
Every time is different...learn about different trees, taste different fruits, hear different stories. Definitely worth the membership cost.
Very interesting tram tour of many fruit trees. Knowledgeable and interesting guide explains how they grow, adaptability to South Florida (they're not all native to the region), and both healthful and toxic effects to the body.
Nice place for a day out. There is a $10 entry fee and you can pick up the fruits that have fallen on the ground. Good place to take kids, and family.
Great place to spend diferent time with your family, I never been there I like it so much, I went to the Asian Festival. So I recommend this place but you need cash and confortable clothes!
