I was a customer when they were in North Haven and I just recently got a chance to visit their new location in Wallingford...it's beautiful! The new space is larger and I don't feel like I have to squeeze through aisles in order to shop. Customer service as usual is meh...I've never gotten help/been offered help walking into the store...I think they just hire people to ring produce and talk to their fellow employees, customers get ignored. Prices are decent depending on what you go there for...produce tend to be higher priced, but I'd still rather get them from here over going to chain grocery stores. With the bigger space came a wider selection of products, which I'm looking forward to exploring more on my next visit.

my wife wanted to buy a few things when I was working but she couldn't carry it all with one hand because of an injury. One of the store Associates willingly dropped what he was doing so he could help her go through the aisles, ring at the register and carried it to her car. Also really fresh produce for great prices!

I love this place! They have recently moved down the street from North Haven to Wallingford and have expanded their already excellent selection. The produce, deli, and meat are where they really shine. Also prepared foods such as soups and salads are great when you're in a pinch and need a meal fast. I use this market very often as an alternative to the chain supermarkets and I always find exactly what I want (fresh, local, whole foods) at competitive prices. Also they have a large garden section with a variety of lovely plants and flowers.

Such a great store. fresh vegetables and fruit. In season, local. Bakery items, meats and a butcher on hand. Its great for that "fresh corn on the cob" for a barbecue. Or just a few items needed for dinner. They also have quite a large supply of fresh meals, and hot meals ready to go.

Fresh produce and lots of prepared foods make this place a definite stop if you're looking to feed yourself and or your family. The deli has freshly made sandwiches, and they carry mostly Boars Head brand cold cuts. Try the chicken cutlets as they are made in house and are really delicious. There is also a hot and cold food bar that is fresh daily. They also have garden items and regular grocery items. The place is set back from the road, so you may drive right by it. It's worth finding.

This review is about the store, not the owner! This is a lovely store for fresh produce, and a small but thoughtful selection of other items: great fresh chicken, deli, nice local breads, small but very nice selection of dairy and juices including local cider, lots of pasta, and other selected items, with a few useful new items every year. The prices are quite moderate. It is the only local food store I have visited where the bill is always a bit lower than I expect it to be. And the people who work there are always VERY nice. Unlike the other reviewer, I have no idea who the owner is or if I have ever interacted with him. If you are a shopper there, the experience is quite pleasant, much nicer than the big supermarkets like Stop & Shop. They also have a lovely selection of plants and flowers in the summer, and pumpkins, gourds, and mums in the fall. To sum up, it is well worth a visit, especially if you are local, just don't expect a local version of Whole Foods [ aka Whole Paycheck!] or a specialty heath food store like Thyme & Season [very nice, but not much produce and quite expensive.]

A little expensive but I like this place. Close to home. Nice butcher. Happy to order my leg of lamb etc. Fresh produce. Good hot and cold food bars. Great custard tarts. Good selection of most things but not too big so as to get lost. People on the register leave a little bit to be desired but tough job so I get it.

This is the best food martlet around. The quality of the products and the selection is awesome. There deli is amazing and always has great specials along with the favorites and make your own style. I also got a beef tenderloin for the holiday and the cut and preparation of the meat was superb! The staff is friendly and helpful and very efficient.

I stopped for a road snack on my way to work in the morning after a rather raucous late night gathering with a friend and a stranger in another town thankfully. This is a nice shop. Exotic selection, pleasant experience. I got coffee and something else, don't expect me to remember. Anyway, google reminded me i was here a couple months ago, and i don't know why it's any of google's business, but would totally visit this place again if I'm already in Wallingford for another reason. I only make special trips to places who carry herr's ketchup chips, didn't see them in years. It was top early in the morning to even look at chips. I should check out Connecticut fresh whatever again for another evaluation.

Love this place lots of variety, bought like 37.00 in fruit my watermelon is in my fridge 3 days now still fresh and sweet. My son loves the taste of empire apples 5lb bag $5.49 i bought 2 bags i will always go back. Clean store in good order really nice staff. Very helpful

Good produce but I will never shop there again. The owner is a very nasty angry man that treats his employees and (patrons) with total lack of respect and dignity. One of his employees were kind enough to offer me scrap vegetables for my pet chickens and ducks from the loading dock area one day and when I went around back to pick it up the owner came out and started yelling at me because I didn’t ask him, the owner. It was an honest mistake, the employee was there with me as well. I tried to apologies for the confusion and mistake but he continued to spew his angry and insulting rant. His final response was “get out of here and don’t ever come back again” He treated me with such a lack of respect, as if I were a low- life thief stealing from him, it was very upsetting and humiliating. In my opinion this man doesn’t deserve the community's business he has no sense of charity or respect for others, apparently he only cares about others when they have an open wallet out under his nose. He neglects to realize that we the community put food on HIS table too. Shame on owner of Connecticut Natural Food & Produce Market formally known as Paul’s Produce /…Signed Just Ducky with out Connecticut Natural Food & Produce Market.
