Not bad, the meat and seafood section smell clean. Customer service is fair, it honestly depends on the day and the kind of person you are and how you react to long lines and such. Remember that the cashiers are not at fault for long lines or short staff so be patient.

I used to eat here 3-4 times a week. But there is not enough counter help at the food court. Today I walked out for the last time after not getting served in what I felt was a reasonable amount of time. I work in the same business so I do have a lot of empathy. But this place is ridiculous. I'll spend that $ 1500 down the street.

I've checked most of the people's reviews that has rated this place with only one star and I'm not surprised that we all agree that employees from the restaurant (girls for the most part) and shrimp kiosk are rude, can't even say thank you nor you are welcome all they say is "mmhmm" but honestly I don't think this is an employee problem this is a management issue. It's funny how every time I go there is the same experience, I've had stop buying groceries there I mean for christ sake even Walmart's employees can say "hi" and "thank you". I'd consider more seriously when it comes to hire people with no costumer service skills whatsoever. Good luck and hope you guys fix this matter before you keep losing more faithful customers like I used to.

Love going here as it's always a treat. Mainly go here when wanting to make real Mexican style food. The prices are great. Lots of choices w/a lot you won't find in traditional US stores. Fresh tortillas, fresh bakery, fresh guac, fresh salsa's, fresh cervichi & fresh chips. Fresh masa, mexican cheese department w/flavored crema too! Excellent produce w/different cactus, herbs, fruits, & veggies. Great meat department w/lottsa butcher cut & seasoned meat selection, & fresh seafood. If you get hungry while shopping; No big deal! Order some fresh & great tasting Mexican street style food. 3 street tacos, bean & rice for $6.99. $1 taco Tuesday's. Like i said, LOVE this store!!

The best place for anything Mexican, food, products, cheese, chicharrón, special holiday food and treats, candy, bread, bolillo, teleras... the list goes on and on. My wife and I looked all over the place for a good manchego cheese and we found it!! Same thing for white corn!!! And the best part of our trip to this amazing market! REAL TACOS AL PASTOR!!! We would love to eat them everytime we go to Mexico and haven’t found any real good Tacos al Pastor and here we finally did so we got a few for lunch and had to buy a bunch for the weeks to come. In other words if you guys are looking for authentic Mexican food this is the place! Great prices and people!

Good place to shop Mexican food especially Wednesdays went have great sale prices. But no good to eat., employees at food atea have no idea what to do. Went I get there no one else was in line or ordering food, I was the only costumer they have at that point, 6 employees and take 25 minutes to get two tacos, the carmitas was already made, only have to serv it. So no expect good or fast service... they don't care. ***** up date. Now I give a star to the store on 35 Avenue and Glendale Road because the bakery no longer has trays or tongs so that customers can handle the bread when choosing. Now there are only paper bags that repeatedly fall to the ground and there are only 2 very dirty tongs available covered with flies. Some customers touch several pieces of bread when trying to choose. This is very anti-hygienic.

Use to love coming here to get all groceries but now when you got go to the cash register the new cashiers take a long time because they don't know what the name and code of the products are. They are not bilingual, and it just feels like when you go to Wal-Mart, they might as well just put self-cashing machines if it's going to take this long in order to pay.

This place is forever packed. They never have enough registers open. The sale items are said to be on sale but end up regular price so I have to go back and get my money again. Then the restaurant has no order as everyone comes and goes. I've been told this is the Mexicali experience and it sucks. I'll still shop here because it's necessity I very much despise but think can be better under new management

I went to the food court today and got chile rellenos combo, the cheese was bad! I took a bite and immediately started gagging, i went all the way back to return the food and told the lady named Maria that the food was spoiled and she looked at me like i was lying, she called another girl, im guessing a manager and she gave me my money back with an attitude and to top it off she paid me back in quarters! Worst ranch market experience ever!

I always get the ad in the mail and am staring wide-eyed at the prices. I'm thinking "what's the catch?" when peppers are 3 pounds for 99 cents. So I finally made the trip over to the market and was blown away. First off, the store is gigantic. The produce section is enormous and there are always friendly guys re-stocking the selection with fresh vegetables and fruits. Always buy what's on sale and in season-it's delicious. During mango season (spring), they're small but oh my goodness are they delicious! I haven't had the opportunity to eat there yet, but I definitely will in the near future. The augua frescas look fantastic, as does the huge selection the bakery has. They even have a giant roaster outside charring chiles that you can buy fresh to use for whatever you please! You can leave with a shopping cart full of food and paper towels like I did for less than $35. I had enough food to last me two weeks after feeding all my friends snacks like fresh chips and guacamole too! Definitely check it out if you've got the chance.

My wife and I go there when we're in the mood for cooking up authentic mexican food because they seem to have the freshest produce and just the right ingredients we look for to complete our mexican food dishes. The prices seem to be fair and customer service has been satisfactory. On occasion we buy the ceviche' and even though my wife adds her own special spices to it... we always enjoy it!!
