I just moved to downtown Chandler recently and simply love it here!! I eat halal meats only and was concerned that I couldn't find halal--I went online and .found Baiz Fresh Foods. I was over-joyed. Found just mend I wanted (lamb shanks!!). I was overwhelmed by how large this place is. I will definitely buy all that I need and will recommend to friends.

Amazing fresh produce that is always organized and such great prices! Also one of the places that sells halal meat if that's important to you. Strongly recommend their fresh feta selection and labneh! Best I've found around. They have a variety of ethnic good selections (mainly Mediterranean) but you can't go wrong here. I also love that every time I go I see so many diverse people.

I wish there's way to give minus stars as a review. I hate their Restaurant service. For the second time in a month I went to buy a roasted whole chicken and they gave me some random small pieces on my plate. As funny as it sounds, when you order a whole chicken, it should have at least two legs, two thighs, breasts to the minimum when you order. But any random 8 pieces doesn't make a whole chicken. They take $15 dollars for a roasted whole chicken but give you some random small pieces. Then, why take $15 dollars or why even advertise whole chicken when we all know a chicken can't be without those essential pieces mentioned above? Worse yet, I told the same guy the first time. He admits that's his fault and he won't do that again. Yet, he did it again within two weeks. Very disappointed being a Muslim and looking for halal places where we can eat and this is how they serve???

The staff here is so friendly! The produce selection is not as large as your average grocery store, but what they do have is very fresh and great prices. The best part of this place though is the cafe. We brought friends visiting from out of town and ordered several things to share. The beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches are my long-standing favorites. Tonight I tried the lamb kebab as well as the chicken and beef shawarma plates and the fattoush salad. It was also good very beautifully presented! The meat was flavorful and tender with crispy edges. Soooo good!

Love this store and the newest one in Mesa that is so much closer to home. Great fresh Meat, better than any of the main grocery stores. The deli, fresh baked bread and take out is extremely tasteful. The treat and dessert counter is always full of yummy sweet treats. I dont like to shop anywhere else unless I really have to.

So I went with my family to baiz stor Wednesday 03/06/19 and we got stuff worth like $200 from there one of the things is that Cheese what you see in the Picture below my mom just opened it and its Smell like a dead body so my mom told me to go Return it today Friday 03/15/19 and I went and the Manager Saw the item and the Surprise she told me she can return it or Exchange it because that's the policy of the company and she told me that's not my problem that it was being freezed in a fridge or the freezer for a long time And I told her I will take it to the health Department and they will take care of all this issue And the manager says that she doesn't care I'm following the orders of the company and nothing is going to touch the company Not you not the health department so people please don't buy anything from this base market fresh and I don't think it's a fresh anymore I swear it smell like a dead body so please don't buy anything from there

The shop contains a strong chemical odor and spices. I am not sure what cleaning agent they use, however, even the fruits and fresh produce smell like detergent-like chemical odor. Even after buying the fruits and washing them throughly, I could still smell the chemicals on them. Also, they provided poor customer service as they do not accept returns even when you have a receipt! I am leaving this comment hoping that they resolve the issues because I'd like to go back there for shopping.

Came really early in the morning at 9:15 , restaurant only open for 15 minutes and I look at the swarma chicken and it’s a tiny piece cooking and I ask when that was made and the cashier says it was made this morning everything fresh everyday , and I say well if you guys just opened 15 minutes ago why is he swarma that small ? That meat was from yesterday’s and they just re used it today. I know that many people did not order swarma because I was inside the store since 9.00 and saw no one order and she says it is fresh . The beef looked fresh and new it was big and full so that one could been fresh but chicken was not . DONT LIE TO A CUSTOMER! YOU REUSE THE MEAT IF YOU DO NOT SELL IT FOR THE NEXT DAY .

So just like some people have mentioned in their reviews, there are these rude employees in the store who don’t seem to care at all. We were given the same exact treatment ( like some people have mentioned ) when we wasted about 15-20 minutes in line. The girl who was helping us out made us stand in the next row, but at the same time, people in the same line were getting helped and were getting rung out in the same exact lane. When asked the reason behind that, she said you cannot yell at me and you guys can’t wait 5 minutes? What??? The cashiers have an attitude problem and don’t want to help you out. Even the management seems to not care. The main reasoning behind this is that this is the only one out here in this area so they run it the way they want it, but there are many other hidden gems out there in the valley. Same product, same imported stuff, same quality, & employees who actually wanna help you out with no attitude problem.

I visit Baiz almost every week and I like most of it. here, I want to divide my review into sections. 1-) I have used the Meat section a lot before. But now I do not since the prices are high and the meat is not always the fresh one. Especially, be careful if you want to get prepared ground beef. 2) Market section is the one that I am using a lot. You can find Turkish and Arabic products that you can not find easily. However, again be careful since sometimes they continue to sell items even after their 'best use' date! 3) Vegetable and fruit sections are good. Vegetables are usually fresh and cheap. But can not say the same thing for the fruit section. Again be careful before you buy any fruit! 4) Restaurant! I do not usually prefer the baiz restaurant. My favorite is beef swarma (see photo) and the plate currently costs $9.99. And it is more than enough for one person. I also like large meat pie. Overall, Baiz market is a place which I will keep going.

Great food ! Horrible customer service. Called in to place my order ahead of time,was left on hold 13 minutes, with no return to the phone b4 i arrived.they cooked my food and gave it to someone(causing me to be late on my lunch hour) . The staff isn't friendly. There was no welcome greeting. The men behind the meat counter don't speak or answer your questions (almost feel unwanted due to skin color) . I was recommended by a regular customer (my boss) & i know she wouldn't shop here if she were treated the same way. Note to Owner customer service skills of the ENTIRE STAFF SUCKS !

The restaurant is good, fresh produce, but, the staff have very poor customer service skills. I do not care how clean or good the food is in the establishment, when the employees are rude and behave like they do not care about customers. I asked several employees questions about the food and pricing and they just acted nonchalantly. They need to get their act together, if they want people to come in there and spend their hard earned money.

Good selection of all things Middle Eastern... Fresh baked pita bread, restaurant, pastries, roasted and fresh nuts, deli, bastirma, halal butcher, all types of dairy from yogurts and labne, to all types of feta, halloumi, kashkawen/Kashkaval, braided Armenian cheese and many others. Their spice aisle is huge and nicely organized, they have whole and ground spices and dried herbs. They also have a large selection of fresh produce at very good prices. If you're looking for Arabic tea and coffee cups, argeeleh/sheesha or anything else for the house, you'll most likely be able to find it at Baiz. Their restaurant is good and food seems to be made fresh to order...manakeesh, shawarma, kafta, shish tawook, falafel, kabobs, French fries, lahm b'ajeen, hummus, spinach pies, cheese pies, and all kinds of amazing desserts... I highly recommend shopping and eating there.

A wonderful cross cultural experience! My first visit to Baiz was great. Enjoyed exploring all of the isles and found some fantastic items. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice produce selection! I bought an 11 lb case of California dates that were very fresh as well as an vast array of produce and grocery. I'll be sure to return and highly recommend that others should visit as well. Take your time and explore the isles, especially if you appreciate good food/products.... this is not your typical big box super market. I wish I lived a bit closer to Baiz! Thank you Baiz!

Very unprofessional staff. A while ago, I purchased a set of cups from this store. The girl who helped me with the purchase, did not open the package so I can make sure it is not broken. I went home and unfortunately it was broken so I went back to return it but not only they didn't give my money back but the manager was very rude and unprofessional. She obviously didn't care to lose a customer. I had never seen in the United States of America that a store does not take responsibility for selling you a defected product. Such a shame...

First came to Baiz a year ago looking for Turkish food after living in Turkey for some time. Was pleasantly surprised by great selection of middle eastern foods offered. Now we come to Baiz almost every week. Our favorites: Turkish halva, olives, eggplant paste, apple tea and, of course, Turkish coffee. Produce is always fresh and cheap. Try Persian cucumbers- you'll never buy long supermarket cucumbers again. Meat department offers great variety at great prices. Their meats are never frozen and the butchers will cut and trim the meat for you the way you want. Everybody speaks English at Baiz. Last thing I wanted to mention is the cafe. All food sold there is freshly made. Try little pies with meat, cheese or spinach at 99 cents each. They are delicious.

I used to like going to this location myself after work since its the closest one by my house. But the last two times I went there, I have noticed when I either greet the female Muslim employees or female Muslim customers assalam alakum, they're rude to me. I'm Muslim myself too and Hispanic. As far as I'm concerned Islam doesn't discriminate against race or you people probobably think it's unusual to see a female Muslim as myself with her security guard uniform and hijab. I will not shop there again.

I love this place because i can find cheap middle eastern stuff and they have a little restaurant part where you can order food and it's inside. The only things that i don't like about this place is the music it gives me headache it's like a opera house. Also when i am eating in their restaurant when i look left there are dead bodies of an animal everywhere. It's not really appetizing and not a good area too eat.

Wonderful new contribution to East Valley ethnic grocery shopping. The grocery contains a Middle Eastern restaurant that is reasonably priced. There is a butcher shop on site with lots of goat and lamb offerings, an olive bar and a large nuts and seeds bar serviced by an employee to give you just the amount you need. The vegetable and fruit section has bundles of fresh herbs for very low prices.

Baiz Fresh Food is awesome. I had Lamb Kafta at this place. It was well cooked and delicious. The food is made fresh. The shop has bakery, meat, grocery and small restaurant. They have pita, naan and many other types of breads. You will get all kind of spices, yogurt, fresh vegetables, halal meat. Their pastries & sweets section has lot of variety. They have variety of Rice. They have hummus and babaghanush. The staff is very helpful. They have Hukkah, coal and Hukkas tobaco flavors. The parking lot is big. The place is near to route 60 and Alma School road on baseline drive.

Got all you need whether in this location or their Phoenix one. I prefer the Phoenix one since they are cheaper but this location is closer to me & it is like a wish come true, I don't have to drive all the way to Phoenix anymore.

A good place to get a halal groceries. Huge store with a large selection of food to choose from. Just be careful when you are getting your meat because they always try and give you more than you ask for. Make sure that they give you the exact amount you asked for otherwise you'll end paying more. This has happened everytime I go there. If not for that I would have given them 5 stars.

Baiz is the best place to go to for an array of specialty items hailing from different countries across the world. They have a great assortment of Halal meats and middle Eastern products that you can't find anywhere else. I especially love their fresh produce and assortment of spices.

I have heard a lot about beef burger there, I like it. But, the beef patty tastes like a lil' bit overcooked. But the beef shawarma there is best, specially with the rice. 4.5 for that. But a complete 5 for the fresh halal beef meat there, aling with completely fresh herbs and veggies there needed to cook the meat like Indian/Bangladeshi/Pakistani style. The best raw halal beef meat, as it comes with fat in proportion which is important for a good gravy.

Very unprofessional staff. A while ago, I purchased a set of cups from this store. The girl who helped me with the purchase, did not open the package so I can make sure it is not broken. I went home and unfortunately it was broken so I went back to return it but not only they didn't give my money back but the manager was very rude and unprofessional. She obviously didn't care to lose a customer. I had never seen in the United States of America that a store does not take responsibility for selling you a defected product. Such a shame...

First came to Baiz a year ago looking for Turkish food after living in Turkey for some time. Was pleasantly surprised by great selection of middle eastern foods offered. Now we come to Baiz almost every week. Our favorites: Turkish halva, olives, eggplant paste, apple tea and, of course, Turkish coffee. Produce is always fresh and cheap. Try Persian cucumbers- you'll never buy long supermarket cucumbers again. Meat department offers great variety at great prices. Their meats are never frozen and the butchers will cut and trim the meat for you the way you want. Everybody speaks English at Baiz. Last thing I wanted to mention is the cafe. All food sold there is freshly made. Try little pies with meat, cheese or spinach at 99 cents each. They are delicious.

I used to like going to this location myself after work since its the closest one by my house. But the last two times I went there, I have noticed when I either greet the female Muslim employees or female Muslim customers assalam alakum, they're rude to me. I'm Muslim myself too and Hispanic. As far as I'm concerned Islam doesn't discriminate against race or you people probobably think it's unusual to see a female Muslim as myself with her security guard uniform and hijab. I will not shop there again.

I love this place because i can find cheap middle eastern stuff and they have a little restaurant part where you can order food and it's inside. The only things that i don't like about this place is the music it gives me headache it's like a opera house. Also when i am eating in their restaurant when i look left there are dead bodies of an animal everywhere. It's not really appetizing and not a good area too eat.

Baiz Fresh Food is awesome. I had Lamb Kafta at this place. It was well cooked and delicious. The food is made fresh. The shop has bakery, meat, grocery and small restaurant. They have pita, naan and many other types of breads. You will get all kind of spices, yogurt, fresh vegetables, halal meat. Their pastries & sweets section has lot of variety. They have variety of Rice. They have hummus and babaghanush. The staff is very helpful. They have Hukkah, coal and Hukkas tobaco flavors. The parking lot is big. The place is near to route 60 and Alma School road on baseline drive.

A good place to get a halal groceries. Huge store with a large selection of food to choose from. Just be careful when you are getting your meat because they always try and give you more than you ask for. Make sure that they give you the exact amount you asked for otherwise you'll end paying more. This has happened everytime I go there. If not for that I would have given them 5 stars.

why does Baiz hire all rude drop outs? The customer service at Baiz is the worst service I’ve ever encountered. You walk through the door you won’t get a “Hi welcome to Baiz” or even a simple smile. I feel like everyone is miserable and hates their job, especially the Restraunt and deli. Their prices are way too high , we are not in Cali! Their meat rots the next day after purchase. And the Restraunt is inconsistent, one day the food looks near fresh and other days I get hard dry double cooked pieces of chicken , I ordered 2 pounds of garlic sauce for a party I took it home opened it to put in a dish and it’s all watery, I took it back immediately and I asked for a fresh one and I was told “we are not responsible if the products spoil after leaving” “are you sure you didn’t leave it in your car ?” Like first of all I only live not even 5 minutes away literally right behind the school next to Baiz , Garlic sauce should not spoil from driving from the store to my house. I will never shop at Baiz , they have a policy the customer is never right. They will sell your family expired food and blame you for not checking the food before leaving. I hope the owner knows what kind of employees their management is hiring . You lost a customer I’m going to Princess market and deli where they actually make it right when they mess up your food !

I have been going here for a while, but the last 3 times have been horrid. Last week i bought 3 pounds of the boneless chicken leg. When i got home i froze it. A few days later i thawed out the chicken, and it had a rotten stanch. I threw everything out. The fruit looks good on the outside, but when you get it, the inside is brown. They have a labne spread. It looks like yogurt my husband could taste cornstarch in the labne. This is used to quicken the process of making labne, so it's not FRESH. You did not make labne using natural methods. If the store has a discount section for fruit and veggie that are about to rot, then you should know that their halal meat is about to rot as well. I'm not going to support this store. Shame on you!

This place is good for some middle eastern style breads, spices, sweets and other things. But, had to wait quite awhile for someone to help us in the sweets dept. They also have a separate restaurant, but after waiting for some one take our order we decided to leave. But, when the wait isn't to long, usually get the stuffed grape leave and baba ganosh. Have had other things and most are pretty good!

They have many varieties of feta in their deli case as well as a huge assortment of other Mediterranean foods throughout the store. The employees at the deli are very friendly and will let you sample things before you deside which to buy. A friend of mine who is an excellent cook buys his meat from their full-service butcher department and says it is excellent quality and reaonably priced. I am really happy I found this store a few months ago!

I regularly shop here for fresh meat ( lamb, beef and chicken) and groceries. There is sometimes quite a wait to get meat. There is also a nice little middle eastern restaurant inside called Al Hina. Ground chicken kabob sandwich and beef kafta kabob sandwich are my favorites. Those are some of the best sandwiches I ever had. This place is clean and we'll maintained.

Food is always overcooked in the cafeteria. The manager should consider hiring a Turkish cook so people can enjoy their meals. There hasn't been one time that the food came out right. Also the store smells like cleaning solution, not very pleasant when you're having lunch there.
