We usually stop here every other month. And I Never had any problems before and I respect what this store represents. But today my 10 year and 7 year old were cussed out while they were trying to use the restroom. This man was swearing at them because my older son was waiting by the door for his little brother. This is what works for us when one of them have to use the rest room in public. One waits with the other and I wait across the hall outside the door. This guy had a problem with my son waiting by the door and was screaming at him to go away. Then started swearing at both of them, I heard him loud and clear. When I heard him I called for my sons and said you have no reason to be swearing at my sons. He then started screaming at me and swearing at me as we walked away. I assumed he was an employee because we seen him walk into the door at the back of the store, but when I mentioned it to the cashier at the front she stated that their employees wear red shirts. We will no longer shop here maybe they need some security on site. This guy wasn't right and seemed very dangerous or maybe a drug addict.

They sell primarily foods past the best by/sell by/expiration date, because of that everything is more than half off of where theyd be elsewhere. But some foods are there dangerously long, most of the takis lose their flavor after 3 months past the best by date. Sometimes you get some amazing stuff and deals. But because its such a coin flip it's hard to rate it higher than a 3 star.

A great place for fun bargain shopping or groceries on a budget. If you’re willing to buy some items close to the stamped expiration dates, you’ll be saving so much. They often have protein bars for 30-40 cents, candy bars for 15-25 cents, and lots of great deals on frozen food as well. Staff is also very friendly and accommodating. A real gem of a store :-)

I would advise that there may be a couple of items near expiration date.... but if you are a picky shopper then maybe you should pay full price at another store.... The store is always clean ... Always a wonderful experience. Although I will mention, the prices over the years seem to get more comparable with a regular grocery stores "sale" prices, that bugs. Wish they would bring their prices back down; the employees are always wonderful, friendly and helpful. The store is clean, and they finally added seat belts to some of their grocery carts (that's a huge plus for a mom with a toddler who likes to try standing in the cart every 6 seconds!) I also follow them on Instagram and always enjoy the deals they post and the manner they post them in. The posts are funny and my kids always tell me the deals at ADF because they recall how it was said in Instagram video. We will be back, we love this place.

Yes, some of the stuff is "expired." I purchased some "expired" Tillamook medium cheddar, quite a few years ago. A LOT! After a year or two, it was no longer Medium. It had elevated to Extra Sharp Cheddar! I'd buy more tomorrow, if it were available. (I've got a 2 LB loaf, aging right now.) I've bought canned goods WELL past the "expiration" date, and stored them, again, for a few years. Not a single issue. Note, do NOT expect canned milk to last this long. It won't go "bad," just get darker. and "chunky." I only shop here a few times "a day!" steve

Definitely keep an eye on dates, some of it is pretty close to expiration but as long as you keep that in mind, and start meal planning while shopping, it's worth checking out. First time going to this place. It's a long drive for me, but so worth it. The price is great, even though everything is past the due date. It's all preserved nicely. I'm thinking of making a trip a month here. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been there.

This place used to be great with prices. In the last few years they are getting more and more gready, Some items are more expensive than the store. Golden grahams cereal a $1.49 at Frys price to 2.99 here. Fabric softener 1.99 at store, 4.99 here. Bananas are 49 cents at fry's they are 55 cents a pound here. You used to be able to get a decent weeks forth of groceries here for the whole family for about $50 not anymore.

The items they sale are markdowns and discontinued that the others stores remove from their stock. ADF offers those items at deep discounts and get more food to bring home with my budget. The staff there is pleasant, nice people.

I love this store. They are always friendly and the store is pretty clean/organized. They sell discounted goods that are in damaged packages, expired, etc for about half the cost of a traditional grocers or box stores. They are Christian based and even have the pledge of allegiance on the wall. They also have a wheel you can spin if you spend over a certain dollar amount. I would recommend this store for anyone who wants to save money on their grocery bill.

I have been a customer since they were located down on Broadway Road. I have spread the word and sent many people their way over the years. The deals here used to be unbeatable. Unfortunately, that has changed as you can find many of the same products for cheaper at the dollar store, and the same price or cheaper at the grocery store on the basics. For one of a kind types of food items, this place rocks. My last visit (about 3 wks ago) was the worst I've had at this store. We went to the register with a number of items that were unmarked for the price and the cashier was really rude when we asked for the prices prior to deciding to buy them. She then was even worse when I had items that were priced incorrectly - most of them with $2+ difference (items had been marked up). Rather than meeting me half-way or selling the items as marked, she said, "Sorry! That's not the price. They are priced wrong, do you want it or not?" We ended up leaving the store with about 3 out of a dozen items.

We love treasure hunts, and going to ADF was our most recent one. Any shopper must look over their items for freshness, good packaging, and ingredients. No different here, just a lot of it. There are so many products scattered in the aisles " hunt" is continually appropriate. Dont count on identical products to be stocked weekly. Grab a few when you see them! The frozen food section is really unique. Bulk packaging is common, and at wonderful prices.

This place used to be great with prices. In the last few years they are getting more and more gready, Some items are more expensive than the store. Golden grahams cereal a $1.49 at Frys price to 2.99 here. Fabric softener 1.99 at store, 4.99 here. Bananas are 49 cents at fry's they are 55 cents a pound here. You used to be able to get a decent weeks forth of groceries here for the whole family for about $50 not anymore.

They guarantee that the dates on products even if expired the food is still OK to be used. And actually they are right. There is a TV news add about them and the experts had explained a lot about dates on packaged food. I have been shopping for years and never had a bad food item. Some prices are very good some not really. You just have to know what's a good deal to you.

I have found some very special items not easily obtained in ANY OTHER STORE. Allow yourself the time to peruse what is offered. Buy when you see what you like as it may not be there next time. I live alone and love the convenience foods avail. This week.there were so many items for great prices I even bought extra to share with neighbors.

This company buys food, from the warehouses, that is just before, at, or just passed, the listed expiration date. But the food is perfectly fine, it is shelf stable or frozen, for the most part. I was really excited to check this store out because funds have been low. First thing I grabbed was a Sierra mist for 50 cents so my kids could have a yummy drink while we shop. I went to the produce and it was absolutely disgusting, all the greens were shriveled up beyond the point you would even get a little crunch in your salad so I thought 'ok I'll grab produce at frys' went to look at dairy and literally everything was expired, tried to grab frozen chicken but that was a YEAR expired..I understand frozen foods last much longer after expiration date but a year is way to long for my liking. I ended up only buying the soda because we had opened it and to my suprise even that was expired in January. Absolutely disgusting this place can legally sale garbage food. I'll spend the extra money on FRESH food

"Everything is expired here," I heard a customer say. That's the point. Just because something has an expiration date doesn't mean it isn't good any longer. You can get some really good deals on some things. If you find something you like, snatch it up as they may not have it next time. You can spin the wheel to win a prize if you spend $50. Religious quotes written on walls. A weird mix for sure. Ask about their veteran and senior discount days.

I have just recently started going here ( 4 months) and so far I’m loving it. Most of the food is close to its expiration date if not past expiration. That being said they have a great guarantee and I’ve never experienced any problems. Most of the time expiration dates are placed on items as a guideline or best by. I find that the best deals are on meat, frozen foods and dairy products. They have a large range snack foods such as granola bars, candy, chips and cereals. For the most part I find that those items are only slightly discounted from prices I can get at the 99 Cents store or with coupons at the grocery store. From what I’ve noticed their produce is not well priced. You get better produce and a much better price from Sprouts. The best thing to do, in my opinion is look at their weekly ad and see what’s on sale. Every week is different and they even have deals of the day. The items in the weekly ad are always amazing deals. I like to go here first and see what I can get. The customer service is always really great and they have fun shopping incentives. If you spend over $50 you get to spin this ginormous wheel for a prize. They also send a weekly high value coupon to people who are subscribed to their mailing list. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to save money.
