So very pleasantly surprised with my order. I phone ordered some funeral flowers that I would pick up. I didn't really give any specific information on what I wanted, I gave a price, asked for them to make something nice, in season, for a man. The arrangement is absolutely beautiful. It certainly is more than I would have gotten elsewhere, or by ordering on-line. And the the pricing for what I got was incredible. My husband was also very impressed when I brought them home. Highly recommend; I would definitely order from Bittersweet again. Thank you, thank you, Bittersweet, really great job.

I had an unusual request for Bittersweet - a collection of small houseplants instead of cut flowers for my mother's Celebration of Life. My contact was Jen, and she was sympathetic in addition to helpful. She helped me pick out several varieties of houseplants that are fairly easy to care for (which was great because we told attendees to help themselves to the plants in remembrance...and I didn't want them burdened with finicky plants). Around fifty houseplants were delivered promptly two hours before the event. Every plant was bursting with health and vitality. I was quite impressed with the quality of everything, even the pots and wrappings. Mom's favorite season was spring, and her favorite flowers were lilacs. Unfortunately, lilacs were about a month out of season. Somehow, Jen found us a huge bouquet of lilacs in full bloom. The room smelled of green growing things and spring lilacs, which made it feel like a garden. It was perfect - Mom would have loved it. If I lived in the area, I would be turning to Bittersweet for all my plant needs. Their friendliness and quality can't be beat!

From the first meeting with her where I told her my hopes for "fall" theme wedding flowers, to our frequent emails which she responded back very quickly, to delivering my flowers to the venue site, and finally the final product. I literally cannot remember a time where I've even considered another flower shop while visiting my hometown. I don't know jack squat about flowers but I do know that anytime I buy something there for a loved one it's been received amazingly well. The staff is beyond friendly and they even let us bring in our French Bulldog so he doesn't have to wait in the car after a long trip from Chicago. Bittersweet is the best in town.

I called Bittersweet Flower Market to order flowers for my aunt's funeral. I gave a price range and asked the florist to make a nice arrangement of his/her choosing, as I often have been disappointed when ordering flowers for a funeral. Wow! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous at a very reasonable price! Several people remarked about the beautiful arrangement, and checked to see where the flowers came from. Such a reasonable delivery fee too!
