My daughter asked me to buy her flowers for her high school graduation, "and not the day-old 99-cent kind at QFC that you usually get." I chose LaVassar because it was a local business that was fairly close to my home - I didn't need them delivered, and because my daughter likes roses and hydrangeas and the LaVassar website had a pretty arrangement with those flowers. It cost a whole lot more than the 99-cent markdown bouquets at QFC, but it was totally worth it! The arrangement is gorgeous. My daughter adores it. It's more beautiful than it looks in the photo. My experience picking them up in the shop was delightful.

I spent a solid hour (or two) shopping around online for florists in the Ballard area who can do a same day delivery. Most shops were too expensive for the arrangements provided, and didn't offer a lot of variety. FINALLY I came across LaVassar and I'm so glad I did! Their website is easy to navigate, their arrangements are inexpensive and stunning for the price. They provided a picture of the actual arrangement that was delivered, which is always a concern when ordering from unknown florists - not knowing what the actual arrangement will look like. They also sent a confirmation when the flowers were delivered. Under the 'special instructions' I wrote "give her a hug for me" as my aunt was having a tough day - hence the flowers. The sweet woman who delivered the flowers ACTUALLY GAVE HER A HUG! I was blown away. Amazing service, stunning quality arrangements for the price. If I ever need a florist in Seattle again I will be coming to LaVassar. HIGHLY recommend!

We used La Vassar for our wedding flowers and I would give them more stars is possible! We met with Joanne for an initial appointment and she quickly picked up on what we were looking for and had some great suggestions. Over the next few months, she was quick to respond with any changes I was making to the order and always answered my questions. When the day arrived, the flowered turned out even better than I expected! We had many complements on them as well as the fireplace display she set up with greenery draped over it with more flowers. Highly recommended choosing La Vassar! I also want to note that my now husband had used them in the past for valentines/birthday flowers and those were also beautiful!

If you're looking for an amazing, trustworthy florist in Seattle...look no further. I have used them probably a half dozen times and have always been blown away by how lovely their arrangements are. I don't live in the area, so I always use them to deliver flowers to my mom. Many times this occurs on national holidays (such as Mother's Day). Their quality NEVER suffers despite the increase in demand. My mom always goes on and on about how beautifully presented the arrangements are, and the flowers are always extremely fresh and long-lasting. My mom also made a point of saying how friendly and nice the man who delivered the flowers was. I'll never use another florist in Seattle because I feel as if I've found a true gem in LaVassar Florists. LaVassar is one-of-a-kind...I really trust them as a wonderful family-owned business. I love supporting them. Their designs are absolutely beautiful and really unique...their arrangements clearly aren't something you could pick up at any florist. I think their prices are quite reasonable for the value, quality, and artistic touch of their arrangements. You can tell they take pride in what they do and have a true eye and talent for making beautiful and unique floral arrangements. This place was nice and gave a unique blend of flowers. They have a resident cat at the shop too. Eight days later and our flowers are still going strong. They look awesome enough eight days later that I almost wanted to "regift" them since the lady left and I'm leaving for a week on business. I would recommend if you're looking for something a little unique (ours had wax flowers even).

I went to get roses to make my own corsage, and not only did the ladies help me find the perfect roses, they also gave me wire and tape and when I told them I was going to go get ribbon afterwards, they also gave me several ribbons and a box to refrigerate my corsage in! I ordered from British Columbia, Canada, for delivery to a relative at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. I saw that LaVassar had very good Google reviews. I requested the arrangement with an opaque vase, and specific ribbons. LaVassar sends pictures, which is great, and I was very satisfied with the final arrangement vs. cost. The arrangement was ordered on March 8, for delivery on March 14. When I contacted them on the day of delivery, at noon it was still at the shop. Initially I was disappointed with the speed of delivery, and my original comment reflected this. However, Judy called me in Canada afterward, to explain that the roses I wanted- orange and yellow- were special order, delivered only every few days. She preferred to wait for the fresh flowers coincidentally delivered today, which would last much longer. The fact that she did not hesitate to follow up and call me with this explanation was a very good customer experience. Communication matters. 5 stars.

I live in Santa Fe, NM. My sister's last day before retiring was yesterday. I checked out florists in Seattle to send her a bouquet at work. LaVassar has the best website for ordering online. Excellent photos and very user-friendly navigation from browsing to checkout. My sister was blown away (as was I when she sent me a pic of her with the bouquet) by the magnificent delivery she received. I had requested the they be delivered before noon, if possible, and they were. I think the pricing is very reasonable and the delivery was only $10.00. I'll be sure to use LaVassar in the future.
