My fiancée and I stopped by yesterday (7/23/19) to ask about flowers for our upcoming wedding. Immediately after entering, the florist never said a welcoming greeting. Instead, she silently remained “seated” behind the counter. As we approached the counter and greeted her, we noticed an expression of suspicion on her face. As my fiancée started to inquire about the availability of flowers for our wedding, she and I noticed the florist’s eyes suspiciously shifting from my fiancée to me, and she made no attempt to service us. All the while not being customer friendly at all! This brief reception made us feel very uncomfortable and not welcoming at all. As a result, my fiancée and I looked at each other with total distain and left the premises. Don’t know what that was all about, but we’re not doing business in places like this where the customer isn’t treated with respect and made to feel unwelcome. That florist should be fired immediately because her shameful conduct was totally unwarranted and inappropriate. Not to mention that her actions also resulted in not making a sale (definitely, not good for business!). As word of mouth is the best source of advertising, we definitely do not recommend anyone to do business there. Go elsewhere! We did not too far from this location and purchased our flowers for our wedding.

I just stopped by the Chesapeake location and the young lady name Ame there was very sweet. I wanted to get something as a I love you to my wife and had no clue what to get. She got me set up making a fresh arrangement from her cooler. It was beautiful yet very simple. I would definitely use this florist in the future. Keep up the good work guys!

They always have wonderful floral designs!! Delivery is prompt and most of the time delivered before the requested timeframe!! The flowers seem to stay fresh for an extended period of time, most times close to or beyond two weeks!! I would definitely recommend Norfolk Florist to anyone!!

If you could give a lower rating I would. I visited this place to purchase flowers for our realtor, who we had just bought a house from that morning. We wanted to do something nice, and I wanted them to get there quickly, so I looked up a florist that was just minutes away from her house. I didn't want to go with one of the online florist, because I wanted to write a handwritten note. I feel that much as lost in the online age, and a handwritten note can go a long way. When I order the flowers, it was clear that this store it's just a front for FTD Flowers. They ordered their flowers, and my bouquet, off of the website, and put in my realtors address directly into the website. I explain to the gentleman that I wanted to order something that could be made at the local florist, and then I wanted to hand sign the card. He said that that would be no problem, so we proceeded with the order. When I dictate it to him what I would like the card to say, because he told me that most of the message had to be typed in, and that I could then sign he then told me that the handwritten option was not a option after he had already typed it in. I explained to him that I wanted to sign the card, and could he print it out so that I could sign it right then and there under the types of note. It took him at least 10 minutes to figure out how to print out the card, and then he told me it would not be possible, because my order had already been sent off to the design center. I explained to him that I was very clear from the start that I wanted to sign my card in person, and that I expected him to find a way to accomplish that. After calling another employee on the phone, he was able to get it printed off. At this point I thought that we were in the clear, however I could not have been more wrong. Though I had dictated to him directly what I expected to be written on the card, what was written was not even remotely in proper English, or even proper sentence structure. the first letter of each word was capitalized, there was no punctuation, though I had asked for exclamation points and periods at certain spots, and rather than the word "and" he had typed the word "in" . Not even the letter N, the word in. It did not make any grammatical sense, and according to him this it already been sent off to the design center without me even proofreading it. The sentence read "Thank You For Everything You Were Amazing. In We Love The House." What I had requested was "Thank you for everything! You were amazing, and we love the house!" I would highly recommend not using this company, unless you were able to proofread each and everything. Just save yourself the trouble and order online, when you have complete control over it. In the end when I asked him to correct the case of the sentences, and to fix the word in as the proper word and, he told me I would need to hand write the whole thing on a piece of paper in order for him to do that. I explained to just look at the words he had written, not capitalize the first letter of each word, and change the word in to and. He could not understand what I was saying, and was clearly very confused. In the end I just ended up handwriting the note, on a new card, and hoping that it made it there on the flowers I ordered. For a $60 transaction, I expected much more.

Just over 20 years ago I was on holiday leave from the Navy, visiting with my Aunt in Virginia Beach. While exploring the nearby area I found Norfolk Florist, went inside, was pleasantly greeted. I asked about sending flowers by phone (online was not an option then). Given a business card and instructed on placing an order. After returning to my command I sent flowers as a 'Thank you' for stay. I still have that business card but online ordering has made the process much easier. Each time my Aunt receives her flowers she takes a picture and sends it to me to let me know how beautiful they are. And, without fail, they often are just as beautiful if not better than the images in their catalog. I can't think of any one place where I have been a customer this long, but their service and customer care make me think that there is ‘ONLY’ Norfolk Florist. Norfolk Florist has Flower Power!

I am right out front of the location on battlefield blvd. They show they open at 9 am and lights are out nobody is there. I call the on on vb Blvd and nobody answers, if you have hours posted you should be open.I have used norfolk florist before and have had rude people help me (1 time with the issue). This is ridiculous I'm trying to surprise my Girl with flowers on a rough week at work and I can even do that!!!! Never going to shop here again I'm tired of it, maybe greenbrier florist will help me instead!!!

My recent and past experiences have all been fulfilled and I am satisfied with their services! When your in a long distance relationship it can sometimes become a strain but if both parties believe there's something special to hold on to and fight for then it's all worth it. That's where norfolk florist come into play when I just need to send a simple I love you from me to my baby or something a little more special to most women like valentines day. They have been a trustworthy choice of mine for a couple of years now and will continue to be! I recommend them!

We were in town from Cleveland for an unexpected funeral. We found out that there weren't any flowers at the service less than 2 hours beforehand. We walked in to Norfolk Florist not knowing what to reasonably expect in such a short time frame. Cindy was so sweet and beyond helpful! She prepared two large and gorgeous arrangements in approximately 1 hour! We are so grateful to her! Thank you, Cindy!

I confess I am not a regular customer of Norfolk Florist but have been very impressed with the Portsmouth shop since I purchased a free-flowers-fundraiser card from one of the garden clubs. When I pick up my free flowers, I can't resist buying a few more flowers from their well-stocked refrigerator. The prices are reasonable and I can get what I want. The local grocery stores always have bouquets for sale but I don't always want what they have, nor do I want the dead ones that are usually included. The Portsmouth store also carries a lot of nice gift items. I'm impressed!

They only reason for the one star is so I could write a review. Over a month of leaving messages sending pics and have not gotten one phone call back. My wedding is now 11 days out and now I can’t get flowers ordered! Spoke with other florists to take on my wedding and said they were flighty here! Clearly

Flowers always look stressed and they don't last that long. Every time I've been there the older lady that works there literally goes out of her way to make you feel like you're bothering her if you ask her to see something.

I use Norfolk Florist online service to order flowers for all occasions to friends and family members scattered around the country. The ordering process is quick and easy. The flowers are delivered when promised and arrive fresh and beautiful and looking just like the picture I ordered them from. The recipients of my gifts have never been disappointed in their flowers and most have asked where they came from so they can use the same florist for their flower delivery needs. I love Norfolk Florist.
