I had a quick five minute conversation while en route to a date with one of the most charming well spoken flower shop owners I've ever had the pleasure to deal with I was treated kindly and courteously and the arrangement I was given when I arrived was perfect. I was incredibly impressed with the storefront the quality of the salespeople and the pricing. I can genuinely say my favorite flower shop encounter I've ever been fortunate enough to stumble upon. Go out of your way if you need to. These guys were incredible.

I "found" Hillside last year when I was looking for a place that was close to my granddaughter's pre-school graduation location. I wanted to get her some flowers for her big day. I walked in the store with my "last minute" request and they were more than kind to me. They created a beautiful gift for my granddaughter and I had so much fun buying trinkets and cards in the gift portion of the store. Most recently, I had a colleague lose a patient and a friend have shoulder surgery. I called early in the day to order a Succulent arrangement for the first friend. It was not only reasonable, it was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Around 5:55p.m. I realized I forgot to order for my other friend. I explained to Jerry, (who graciously assisted me at the last minute and right before closing) that I needed something elegant and whimsical. He directed me to a beautiful climbing orchid. I bought it sight unseen and had it delivered. When I stopped by the other day to see it, I was taken aback. It was indeed one of the most beautiful flowers and definitely the most beautiful Orchid I've ever seen. It was GIGANTIC! Thank you, Jerry for your perfect recommendation. The one thing I cried about on my wedding! The bouquets were beautiful but did not look the same even after they said they forgot to take a picture of mine so I should send in another (bridals vs. wedding day), the flowers were dying and wilting, and not many things were as we discussed and we sure spent a whole lot of time talking about what I was hoping for. I had so many pictures and examples to go off of, but it was like they disregarded a lot of it. I was also asked to bring in my own ribbon for all of the bouquets, bridesmaids and flower girls. I spent HOURS looking for the perfect ribbon and spent quite a bit on it, to only have them lose it and use something really cheap and ugly in its place with no apology. I waited for months to write this review to hopefully get over it, but I just felt they were too busy to give what they had promised.

Jerry from Hillside Floral has a real vision when it comes to flower arrangements. I used Hillside Floral for my wedding florist in August 2016. I met with Jerry several months before the wedding to talk about what I envisioned and also had a few follow up calls. I provided Jerry with some inspirational photos and let him work his magic. Hillside Floral was on time to deliver the flowers the day of the wedding and Jerry was there himself to personally deliver and set everything up. There was a minor set back since the flower girl's basket and flower crown were left at the shop but Jerry was quick to act and fix the situation by having the basket and crown quickly delivered to the venue. The entire experience with Hillside Floral was pressure free and enjoyable. I would recommend them for any wedding or event! Many thanks!

Jerry did the wedding flowers for my September 2017 wedding. The flowers were so fresh and beautiful and were still going strong over a week later. I had an idea of what I wanted and Jerry helped me find the perfect mix. He delivered to the venue on a Sunday morning. Jerry at hillside floral did all the flowers for my wedding- bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, cake flowers, centerpiece roses, the whole nine yards. All of those were great (the centerpiece roses were a little bit the wrong color, but I expected some variation). The reason I give them 3 stars instead of 5 is due to a huge disappointment... My flower crown. I decided to have Jerry craft me a flower crown instead of wearing a veil, and I gave multiple pictures to show what it ought to look like... But when it arrived the day of, it had four tiny roses and was comprised mainly of tons of leaves that stuck out horribly. Having no other option on the morning of my wedding day, I wore it. But it was a huge disappointment and a waste of a fair amount of money. Every time I look at my pictures, I feel sad about the crown. So I guess, if you don't want a flower crown, hillside floral will take good care of you. If you request anything unique, look elsewhere...

I went to Hillside Floral for my wedding flowers. Jerry was so helpful. I knew what I had in mind, but when I told him what I liked, he gave me ideas on what would last and what would die quickly in the hot July weather. Jerry also did my sitting bouquet for my bridals and warned me they wouldn't be as fancy as the regular bouquet. However, when I saw the sitting bouquet, it took my breath away. The flowers for the wedding were exquisite. I loved them and would recommend Hillside Floral for the flower needs for anyone, not just for a wedding or a funeral, but even just for the everyday surprise. Thank you, Hillside Floral.

My son purchased a corsage for his prom event. It was over $30 and when we picked it up it had a crushed center flower and the extremely tiny side roses weren’t white but a strange yellow. Honestly, it was hideous. It looked like a small discarded holiday wreath. I went to exchange it (which they agreed with some frowns) and was able to see the other corsages being picked up by mother’s that were exactly the same! It looked like they used the same “pattern” for all the corsages. If you google “corsage” you get a barrage of gorgeous floral arrangements of what corsages really should look like and this arrangement is definitely not on par with any of the images. I did call a few other floral places which could do a lovely similar floral arrangement as shown online for the same price but not in time for the event. The “fixed” arrangement we picked up an hour later was just as ugly. For anyone purchasing at this establishment, it’s important you go in person and pick the flowers and arrangement yourself otherwise they’ll dupe you and give you whatever is in stock. This was an expensive lesson learned and we definitely will not be purchasing anything from here again.

My son was getting married and after checking out different websites, I got a referral from my coworker who highly recommended the Hillside floral. Amanda was very helpful. We met with her and discussed everything in detail. We even skyped the bride from overseas who described the color and size of her bouquet. After carefully listening to us, Amanda came up with some great suggestions. The owner of the floral shop has delivered the flowers to the restaurant. The arrangements came out beautifully and exactly how we hoped they would be! The bouquet, corsages, garland, cake flowers, and all of the little details were perfect. Plus the flowers had an amazing smell and lasted for a very long time. I will definitely use the Hillside floral for our future needs.

I was walking home and the delivery man (Does Jerry deliver his own flowers?) was walking around trying to pawn off my neighbor's flowers to another neighbor because he didn't get an answer at their door. I offered help several different ways (e.g. calling my neighbor) and he completely ignored me like I was some shlum. Perhaps it's small, but it seems like several others have been treated poorly by him. Here is one to add to the list.

Hillside Floral is amazing! I would give them ten stars if I could! Recently my mother passed away which was very hard for me. I had gone in and talked to Jerry about the specifics of what my mom wanted for her funeral arrangements before her passing. He let me know he would need as much lead time as he could to help create what she had requested. A week later my mom passed and we decided that we would do her viewing and graveside service 48 hours later. I went to Hillside expecting that they wouldn't be able to get the flowers done but they exceeded my expectations, they were able to get them done and had them 24 hours later for the viewing (which I was not expecting). Hillside floral created a beautiful blanket of flowers to lay over the casket with a 1/2 spray of lavender and peach flowers, it was exactly what my mom had described to me on what she wanted. It turned out so beautifully I cried. I had many people who attended the graveside service ask me where the flowers had been done because they were so amazed with what they did. Before the funeral arrangements I also purchased an arrangement every week for my mom for three consecutive weeks. My mother knew and loved flowers, and gardening was her passion. She was so happy with each arrangement that I took her! It made my day to watch my mom look over each flower variety in the arrangement and tell me what was unique about them. They stayed fresh for much longer then other arrangements I had purchased in the past as well! Hillside exceeded my expectations with their compassion, customer service and fresh flower arrangements. Go see them!

Overall I am very impressed. I asked for a classy arrangement of greens, whites, and blues for $40. They made a beautiful arrangement for my friend! They were even willing to call my friend and work with him on when to deliver the flowers because he was busy going to and from graduation. I went to Hillside Floral to order flowers wholesale for my wedding a month ago. I was planning on using Costco to order wholesale flowers but found I didn't like their limited selection of flowers so last minute (3 weeks before the wedding) I called Hillside Floral and they were very accommodating. I needed flowers sent to a co-worker's office for a birthday and was worried due to a terrible experience with another floral company. After placing my order online, I sent a follow-up email just to confirm the flowers would be delivered today and see if they could accommodate an early delivery. Mary responded as soon as the shop opened and was so nice. I had mentioned I liked many of the arraignments, I had a difficult time choosing one, so if the florist wanted to be creative and add their own flair, that would be wonderful. Mary informed me they did not have any light pink lilies that were open so she had decided to go with a lavender color pallet. The flowers were beyond gorgeous - the entire office loved them. They were delivered early and I could not be more pleased with the product, the price and the customer service. I plan on ordering from them again and letting them design the arraignment. It was unique and perfect for fall!

I called to ask about ordering a couple flower arrangements for my small wedding, 11 days out. I understand that’s short notice and they might not have been able to accommodate it, but the way that was communicated by the gentleman I spoke with was abrupt and rude, just “All I can say is good luck!” in a condescending way like I was an idiot for even calling and asking. No explanation or options provided. Clearly they didn’t want my business, and I’m more than happy to oblige by patronizing one of the other florists nearby instead.

I had such a small wedding that it was difficult to get other florists to work with me. Hillside totally came through, even though they had booked several other weddings for the same day. Jerry and his amazing staff put together the bouquet and flowers for my recent wedding. They were absolutely beautiful. I think most people who came through the reception line complimented my bouquet first and then me and my dress. Their customer service is also something that sets them apart. I had my wedding on a Wednesday, and reception on the following Saturday. The flowers were still perfect for the reception because they were willing to take them that night, clean them up, and hold onto the for Saturday. We almost forgot to pick them up the day of the reception, but an employee called us to make sure we were still planning on coming. I was very grateful for that. And I know I'm not the only one who loves Hillside floral. They really are the best in the area, if not the whole valley. I would definitely recommend them.

Jerry and his creative team have done everything from incorporating a saxophone and a fishing net into funeral sprays, to the latest needs for my daughter's wedding. We gave him ideas and a bag of my father's white peacock feathers and asked him to do something different and creative and they did just that. They even incorporated home grown succulents into the boutonnieres...fantastic!!

I was recommended to Hillside floral because I’ve heard they are the best flower shop in the valley. I called to get a quote on wedding consultations. I was rudely told that they didn’t want to waste time on someone that wasn’t going to use their business. I work in customer service myself and I totally understand that. But I am ALWAYS willing to help someone and would never tell them they “are not worth my time”. The owner then continued to tell me in a very condescending way that I should get on Pinterest and pick my flowers there (as if I haven’t done that already). All I really wanted was a professionals opinons on my choices and I was willing to pay for the consultation. I know this review has nothing to do with the actual service but I think it’s important to give business to people who actually enjoy helping people, not just making money.

We have been coming to Hillside for years for our flower arrangements, so it was only natural that we wanted them to be our wedding florists...and Jerry Rose and team did not disappoint! Our wedding was on a Sunday (Hillside isn’t open/doesn’t do deliveries on Sundays which we knew up-front) but we still knew the amazing quality that we would get from them. During the planning process Jerry was extremely helpful and made sure we felt comfortable with design and pricing all along the way. The bridal bouquet/boutonnieres were extremely beautiful (my husband calls them “next level arrangements”) that were purple and blue dendrobiums with white calla lilies and then two wonderfully huge beautiful arrangements with fantastic garland for the giant ceremony arbor. We picked up the flowers the night before the wedding and Jerry and team made sure we knew exactly how to store and care for them overnight to make sure they stayed in mint condition for the wedding the next afternoon as well as the best method for hanging up the arbor arrangements since we would be doing it ourselves. We were totally comfortable with every part of the process and beyond elated with the results the team gave us! We would absolutely recommend Hillside Floral to anybody for any occasion!

The best florist I've had. Jerry Rose is fantastic. The flowers are beautiful and the service is personal. Jerry and I spent 15 minutes talking about the recipient of the flowers and their heart condition. After missing the recipient at the hospital (at no fault of Hillside), Jerry had the flowers delivered to their home. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and asked all of the right questions. She also let me know the owners names and told to call them directly if I had any concerns. Hillside Floral did the flowers for my wedding dinner for about 280 people. The flowers were simply outstanding. I was particular about what I wanted, and the florist (Jerry) worked directly with me and my wedding coordinator to make it beautiful and to perfectly identify and execute my vision. We did very tall, elaborate centerpieces that required expert attention and detail. We wanted the vases to be clear and empty so everyone could see each other at the round tables, so all of the flowers were situated at the very top of the vase. We wanted the flowers to be full and beautiful. The completed centerpiece was a masterpiece. The wedding was at the Empire Room in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Jerry and Hillside delivered the flowers early and made sure they were placed at each table. I received so many compliments on how amazing they looked. Hillside is the best and you won't be disappointed if you use them for any event.

I would like to thank everyone at Hillside Floral for such a positive experience! The flowers that my girlfriend received were, quite honestly, breath taking. Not to mention the exceptional service that I was given from the woman at the front desk as well as the delivery driver. I am in Alaska working for the summer and wanted to send some flowers back home to my Girlfriend for her birthday. I found Hillside by luck via Google search, and I am so glad that I did (I will definitely use them again)! All of the arrangements on their website are beautiful, so much so that it was hard to choose just one. I ended up going with Teleflora's Blossoming Love, and it ended up being the perfect choice. The flowers in this arrangement are beautiful and they give 3 options from Standard to Premium. I first chose Deluxe for her, and then the morning of her birthday I changed my mind. I called that morning and the women on the phone was able to help me upgrade to Premium. This woman was incredibly nice and accommodating to me, especially later that afternoon when my girlfriend was leaving work and hadn't yet received her flowers (at no fault of Hillside Floral or the driver). The delivery driver drove out of his way specifically to take my girlfriend her flowers! I am in shock at how willing this company was to work with me, and so grateful that I chose Hillside Floral. I will spread the word to all of my friends and will always use Hillside for my floral needs. Thank you Hillside! P.S. Her flowers were even more beautiful than the website.

Phenomenal center pieces. I asked Jerry to arrange succulent centerpieces for a graduation event and he took my ideas and made it so much better. The pieces were absolutely lovely. Others that I contacted were requiring me to pick out plants and pots, which I did not have time to do. Jerry arranged everything and the price was incredibly reasonable.
