Mercedes flowers helped me to design the most PERFECT bouquets for my wedding on January 28th, 2017. I can't believe how down to earth and sweet she and her staff is. I was one of those bride-to-be's that didn't have the most specific idea for what I wanted, and I most definitely didn't have every detail hashed out. In fact, as far as flowers went....all I had was inspiration from my invitation suite which I purchased on Etsy. I showed her a photo of my invites and basically said "make something that looks like this". She was so easy to work with and the design she came up with matched my vision and invites perfectly! I purchased a trial bouquet a couple weeks before the wedding and I made slight tweaks at that point (I highly recommend doing this). We added some silver brunia (the silvery looking balls) along with some other minor adjustments. This way I knew EXACTLY what I was getting on my big day, which helped to relieve any nervous-ness. Her husband is very knowledgeable as well regarding what flowers are available at what time and what flowers could take the place of some if they weren't in season. You can see the end result of my wedding bouquet in my profile pic! I never stop getting compliments on my flowers! I will use her for many years to come for any of my flower needs!

Mercedes and her husband are extremely hospitable and have taken care of my abrupt needs with a smile every time. I highly recommend them if you need something that isn't cookie-cutter or boring. They're the only florist in town I know that has heart roses.

Talk about perfection! Mercedes did the flowers for my daughter, Amy's wedding a few days ago (March 26,2016,) and they couldn't have been more perfect! Mercedes took Amy's vision and made it come to life! The brides and bridesmaids bouquets were amazing as were the wrist corsages and boutonnieres! Mercedes also was super easy to work with! Store closes at 6pm, and once we called to confirm about checking in for planning to get flowers here for our wedding, they had to re-call to inform to come by before 3pm. We went in 30 minutes since we were called at 1:45 and it takes 45 minutes to get out there, we reached the store at 2:30pm. They decided to close even earlier than previously told us. Just kind of a gigantic waste of time and gas.

Not typically one to review, but after years of remarkable service, this is way overdue. My wife has lived in Austin for 25 years, orders flowers for clients and friends regularly, has likely used every, or almost every, local florist in town and has arrived at the point where she ONLY uses Mercedes. So it follows that that is how I found 'em :). I'm not a flower guy. Like them. Just don't get the big deal. That said, I can absolutely tell the difference in quality and presentation when comparing arrangements from Mercedes to those from other shops. You pay a bit more, but the value added substantially outweighs the incremental cost. Worth noting, too: multiple instances of some of the best customer I've ever experienced. More than once, when I've had a special request or short notice order, the owner has made it happen and then followed through with a phone call/text to give me an update or let me know that the job was complete. And I know that it's entering the mainstream after Amazon began doing it with their package delivery, but I think Mercedes Flowers was one of the first small businesses to take a picture of the delivered arrangement and email/text it to you right as it arrived. Peace of mind knowing that/when it got there and exactly what it looks like. This business was ahead of the curve and it goes to demonstrate where the owner's head is at when it comes to customer service. All in all, Mercedes Flowers sets the bar when it comes to a well-run, customer-centric family business. Keep it up, y'all, and thanks.

After being scammed by Avas flowers (they are not local) and ran me on a mother goose chase to get my money refunded for flowers they never delivered (still don't have refund), Mercedes at Mercedes Flowers restored my hope in humanity. I genuinely can't imagine a more perfect customer experience. She was patient and ensured she wrote down my name right and the names / message for the card for the recipients. She texted me photos of the flowers she was delivering. She took my order past her closing time. Her rates were reasonable. I really don't think I have ever had a better customer service experience with a florist. Thank you Mercedes for turning my day around!

I recommend using this florist any time and they are reasonable on prices and again their customer service is awesome. I was in a situation that I had to order flowers at the last minute and they made sure they were delivered on time to meet my needs. You won't be disappointed using this florist!

The staff were all very helpful and friendly . A Miss Sterling helped me choose flowers for a bouquet, set them up for travel, and gave me advice on how to keep their quality on my trip back to North Houston. Please note: I insisted upon the pineapple as a joke and added it to the arrangement after I dropped them at their destination. Also, I am terrible at taking pictures; the bouquet looks a lot better in person. In conclusion , please don't let either of these factors negatively affect your opinion of this business.

I cannot overstate how wonderful Mercedes was to work with. I am the events coordinator for a local nonprofit, and as is the case for all nonprofits, was working with an extremely limited budget for our event. Mercedes stayed well within our budget, while providing stunning centerpieces and other decor items that fit perfectly with our theme. Our guests went on and on about how gorgeous the centerpieces were. They were unique, classy, and uniformly beautiful. Beyond the flowers, Mercedes and her team were a joy to work with. They delivered the arrangements early, which allowed our set-up to go incredibly fast and smooth. She was always very reachable by text or email, and was willing to make last-minute changes to accommodate us. I have not yet had the pleasure of ordering a personal arrangement from Mercedes (though she is now on the top of my list if I ever have flowers coming my way), but from my experience ordering 90 centerpieces, a large podium piece, and several other decoration pieces - you cannot find a better, more responsive florist to do your event or help brighten up your home.

After interviewing a few florists around town we opted to worked with Mercedes for our wedding at the Hummingbird House in late May. She and the ladies are very easy to work with and are great with communication! There were a few issues early on when some of the flowers wilted in the sample arrangements, but Mercedes was able to switch floral vendors & recreate the pieces without sacrificing the look. In the end we were able to coordinate the six colors of my bridesmaid dresses with our visions of the perfect bouquets, centerpieces and tall head table pieces that fit perfectly in our venue. She and her team did a fantastic job!
