The Columbia Chamber hired Something Special for our 116th Annual Gala in October 2018. Grant and his team are wonderful to work with. We hired Something Special last minute and they knocked it out of the park. When you work with Something Special, you can tell Grant the color scheme you want and then let him be creative. You will never be disappointed. They are always friendly, have excellent customer service, on time, and take the worry out of choosing florals.

This place truly is something special. We were dealing with a sad situation involving a family member in the area, and the extraordinary people at Something Special went the extra mile to help us. In addition to the thoughtful bouquet they said they would assemble, they offered to stop by a local news stand and include with the delivery some books and magazines and other items to lift our family member's spirits. Heather (who works there) showed great compassion for our situation, and even followed up with me later in the week. The hospitality they extended to us is the kind of thing you just don't see from many businesses these days. (Thank you, Heather.) I randomly found this company from an online search. They now have a customer for life. I wish I could give them 10 stars. I recommend them *highly*.

Once again, Something Special comes through with something special - and on short notice! I have come to be totally confident in giving few directions on what I want and leaving the floral experts do what they know how to do. They always come through brilliantly. This time I asked for something tall, instead of spreading, for my friend's birthday; my friend could not contain her surprise and pleasure - and awe! She admittedly is not a tall person herself, but she said, "It's taller than I am! It's spectacular! You always manage to get me the very best flowers I've ever seen!" The flowers for our daughter's wedding at Stone River last weekend were gorgeous inside and out. The pergola and pavilion decorations for the ceremony were exactly as we had envisioned and were spectacular. People are still talking about the beautiful garnet/peach/cream color scheme carried throughout. Loved the way you worked with Parkland Cakes to create the perfect floral accents for that amazing cake.

The folks at Something Special could not have been more wonderful!! I called them late in the day after an online florist cancelled my confirmed order and I was stuck without a way to get flowers delivered that day. Dot and the owner worked together and my order was delivered almost immediately. Thank you, Thank you!! You made 2 college girls (and a mom) very happy.

Inconsistent Customer Service: I have purchased flowers from Something Special once about six months ago. The man who helped me that day was very courteous and my experience was pleasant. However, my husband and I were walking on Main Street today, saw they were open, and went in. We asked the lady working about a certain variety of rose. She told us they did not have them. Then we asked her about what all they had in the back room. She pretty much acted uninterested in selling anything to me and she told me they were going to be really busy tomorrow. Since when is it a good business practice to be rude to the potential customer you have today because you are concerned about the one you may have tomorrow? I like to buy goods locally to support small businesses. However, when the customer service is bad, why should I?

On Friday June 30th my husband and I received word our grandson was coming a month early. We left home in a panic and drove the 3.5hour trip as quickly as possible to be with our family. While in route he was born and weighed only 4lbs but was perfect and didn't even need to be in the NICU. We were ecstatic!. I wanted to send flowers asap so googled best unique florists in Columbia, SC. This wonderful shop popped up and I was afraid being a holiday weekend it would be too late for a nice arrangement. When I called the lady was extremely nice. I explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to come up with a unique "live" arrangement to be delivered to the hospital. Well, long story short----the arrangement showed up within the next hour and I was texted by my son how awesome it was before we even arrived!! Kudos and thanks so very much for making an awesome day even better.

Stopped in close to closing time on a Saturday. The gentleman that helped me put together a wonderfully contemporary and sophisticated arrangement in little time and it was perfect. All the stems were fresh and worked really well together. Really nice job at a very reasonable price. I will definitely shop there anytime I need a florist in Columbia.

I use Something Special for all of my personal and business needs. Grant is amazing - an artist! I know that no matter the event the flowers will be perfect. I recently had a Board of Directors meeting here in Columbia of the Top CEO's in the USA - even the men were blown away at how unique the flower arrangements were for this event. 3 months later they are still talking about "the flowers at the dinner" all done by Something Special. Grant really listens to his customer and what they want and need. If you want arrangements that are NEXT LEVEL and above and beyond you must check out Something Special.
