Just tried TJ's for the first time and was not impressed. I really wanted to love this place based on all the hype... but all I found was a very limited number of healthy fresh foods and the rest was a highly focused store brand selection of high sugar, high salt or high fat based food. Not a lot of actually healthy foods. But all of it packaged AS IF it was healthy. Example: the slickly packed Trader Joe's The Crispy Crunchy Mochi Rice Nuggets are a "light, crispy, savory snack" made of rice, PALM oil, sea salt, and sunflower lecithin. These are actually highly salty, fatty rice balls, fried in palm oil! Very bad for you!!! They have no nutritional value. Much of TJ's food is the same. Most people do not understand nutrition and equate organic with healthful and TJ's takes advantage of this and offers great tasting unhealthful "organic" food. When shopping there, I did ask for help, stating that wanted low fat, low sugar food. The clerk replied that he was not a nutritionist and wished me luck! I was able to find some good soup, a nice wrap and some great frozen veggies at a good price. There are some good finds, but not many...

Trader Joe's has an amazing selection of new and unusual products (Ghost Pepper chips! Pea Protein burgers!) along with some of the best baked goods you will find outside of a bakery (try the lemon tart or the cinnamon raisin bread or brioche). Great floral department! The staff are universally friendly and helpful and seem genuinely happy to work there. It is a treat shipping there.

I love Trader Joe's and am happy there is at least one in RI (though I would love another in Cranston or somewhere a little nearer to Providence!) The only unfortunate thing is they run out of stuff often, as they're the only one around, and sometimes I have to be careful with their produce because some of it is less than ideally fresh. But I LOVE their really affordable staple items and cheap organic products. Sprouted tofu, unsweetened soy milk, meatless sausage and crumbles, and the tortillas are some of our stand bys!

Awesome grocery store...I wish RI would sell their wine tho!! Flowers, fruit and veggies, all great and reasonably priced. They have a bit of everything...mostly organic. Their prepared frozen foods are so good and we have tried many. Dog food snacks are great, my dog loves them all. Meats are fresh and their fresh salmon was the best we have ever tasted!! Every time I'm in the Warwick area we have to stop at Trader Joe's!!

I was hesitant at first about switching my grocery store. I'm a creature of habit you see. It's been a couple months now shopping at Trader Joe's, and I don't know how I could go back to Stop & Shop. It's definitely much smaller than a Stop & Shop but I had no problem finding everything I needed and a few new things. Dark chocolate covered pretzels! Mmmmm The staff is super helpful and friendly any they make the whole going grocery shopping experience a bit easier.

I love Trader Joe's. Great quality of food, lots of vegan and vegetarian foods, great produce, and amazing selection of frozen foods and meals that are healthy. Ample parking, incredibly nice and knowledgeable employees. The prices are lower than most "regular" stores, not to mention Whole Foods. Everyone loves Trader Joe's...try it and you will too. I only wish they had more locations in RI. A few of my favorite things...their homemade tamales, scallion pancakes, grilled cauliflower, yogurt and Persian cucumbers.

I love Trader Joe's. It has all different types of vegetarian and vegan options. It is a little less expensive than Wholw Foods. The staff is friendly, the stores are always well stocked and busy. Actually plan on beong there a little while if you haven't been before. The fruits and vegetables are high quality. I go to the one in Warick because thats the closest one to me. I wish there was one closer to me. Trader Joe's doesn't offer as much as whole foods but becquse most of their labels are private it surely beata driving out therefor some of the stuff.

This was my first time ever visiting a Trader Joe's. I've been meaning to get to a Trader Joe's for years and years after hearing so many people talk so highly of it. It's a fun experience if nothing else. I did find a few things to buy and am happy with what I purchased. The one in Warwick is on the smaller side from what I understand. Can't wait to hit up a Trader Joe's in Massachusetts where they serve beer wine and alcohol. The ones in Rhode Island do not sell any type of alcohol.

i've never been to a trader joe's i don't like. this one is no exception! the check-out line is never too long. staff would always go out of their way to assist you. their small flower bouquet is one of the best deal you can find. you can even special order a large qty of flower for events. we ordered something like 50 stems of hydrangea plus greens for a small wedding and they were perfect.

I bought a Chicken wrap and while eating it bit down on something hard and thankfully did not swallow it. It ended up being a piece of plastic that was rapped up in a ball. Took it back in where the store manager told me "those sandwiches are made by a third party. I'll call it in" I asked if I could get another one. He said " Make sure it's the same price". This was his response. If I had swallowed that I would have had serious problems. I spend on average $75 per week there. I have not been back and will not return. The store manager was unprofessional and couldn't have cared less. Sad because I really like TJs. They are busy enough and probably don't care about my patronage but I figured I would share my experience.
