Fig and Squill did the flowers for my wedding. With very little explanation of what flowers and arrangements I wanted, Fig and Squill was able to create the most beautiful display of flowers. I was beyond happy and the end result was more amazing and gorgeous than anything I could have imagined. You are in good hands with Fig and Squill!

Simply the best! I highly recommend Laura Seita. She brought our wedding venue to life with her impeccable floral designs. Having met Laura through a dear friend, we were excited to see what ideas she had in mind for our early spring wedding. After discussing our initial thoughts and going through the specifics of the venue, Laura put together a proposal that exceeded our expectations. She came up with creative designs for our space (i.e. we wanted a more interesting ceremony backdrop than the standard two-pillared approach we had seen in pictures), and she helped us choose options that made the most out of our budget. I was blown away by how beautifully everything came together; my bouquet was stunning and brought a tear to my eye. She created lighting that enhanced the florals and brought a magical feel to the space. Beyond her incredible floral talents, she is very responsive, professional, and lovely to work with. Although she is not based in New York, Laura is very accessible, and we did not have any issues scheduling meetings. We trusted Laura completely, and boy did she deliver! If you are looking for someone with impeccable taste, she’s your gal!

From the first meeting my daughter and I had with Laura, we had total and complete faith in her! First of all she is a simply lovely person with just enough edge to make her fun, honest and interesting!! She completely got the feel and aesthetic we had hoped for! Working within our budget, she had the idea of combining flowers with making table vignettes from Vintage items collected by myself and my friend. She even made a trip to our barn to sort through it all. The outcome was absolutely beautiful and fun!!! The combination of ivory , taupes, soft greens and pops of plum with ornamental cabbages and muted hydrangea gave it a romantic fall garden feel . The bridal party flowers had the same feel! An example of another table was a pair of vintage bottles, old books, a lantern and an heirloom pumpkin. Many of the guests were blown away by the mood that was set by Laura’s work. The venue staff lived her and found her very relaxed and easy to work with during set up. I was so blown away by what she had created I had to email Laura at 2am after the wedding night was over. I would recommend Laura ,Fig and Squill, in a heartbeat . You can be assured an artistic, thoughtful beyond words outcome. Wendy and Rachel 10/14/2017

Laura did the flowers and decorations for our wedding this past August 2017 and they were perfect! She was able to take the muddled and unclear description of what I wanted and provide thoughtful suggestions along the way. The end result was better than anything I could have pictured myself! The arrangements were classic and unique, and she managed all of our decorations - setting things up with the artistic eye and vision I do not have. Laura is the most amazing florist. She did our August 2016 wedding in Westport, MA. We live in Philly and planning a wedding in MA I thought would have its challenges. Laura made this process so easy & fun. I didn't have the time to meet her in person due to travel and we were able to plan everything through the phone. Laura was also always very honest on her thoughts & feedback and worked within our budget. She was always so quick to respond, was able to accommodate our last minute add ons & changes. On our day when we showed up to the venue I was beyond pleased with our flowers. She took all of my ideas and blended them into one perfect bouquet. I wanted something big and full of greens (I told her to make it look like I'm holding a garden) and she nailed it. The flowers were beyond stunning, she made our day so beautiful. She completely blew us away. I highly recommend using Fig & Squill!

Laura was phenomenal – she exceeded all expectations. From the gorgeous chuppah, to my bridal bouquet, to the table arrangements – everything was breathtaking. She is an amazing artist, with a keen eye and an ability to transform a venue into a magical space. She listened and understood my vision and worked with me throughout the planning process. She was patient (I can't even count the number of emails/calls/texts we exchanged!!), accommodating (including welcoming me into her home on her 1 day off), and always willing to adapt as my vision changed (there were many iterations of my proposal). Laura is gracious and giving of her time, always listening and absorbing. She goes above and beyond in her designs and artistry to include small details to make your wedding special and unique to you and your spouse. Her love for what she does is contagious and she taught me so much about different flowers, their seasonality, and how to design arrangements in an environmentally friendly way :) . Not only is Laura an expert on all things floral, she also helped with other design elements of our wedding. Despite planning a Rhode Island wedding while living in Chicago, I always felt reassured knowing I was working with Laura. I can’t recommend her enough!! Thank you, Laura! xoxox

Laura ROCKS - I mean she really went above and beyond what we had imagined! We are so grateful to have worked with her. We communicated extensively about the wedding vision, my bridal bouquet and floral crown, my partners’ boutonniere and the table arrangements. As we were planning a Rhode Island wedding from a distance, we were initially worried about trying to organize all the details. However, after talking to Laura on our first call, we couldn’t believe our luck in her being available for our day. As we planned a small wedding, we also had a rather limited budget. She is obviously very knowledgeable of her craft as she gave us great suggestions based on flowers that are in season, layout of the tables and the overall plan for the day. She is a good listener, flexible and creative at finding solutions based on what we shared with her. My partner’s boutonniere for example was made of sage and olive leaves, which I had never even thought about as an option, but worked perfectly with my bouquet and recalling her Italian-nes! Laura is attentive to details and makes your wedding seem that much more unique. My partner and I both lost a parent and she helped us make sure that their presence was felt, through the selection of their favorite flowers and colors. As we got ready at our reception, and we saw the artist in action – at one point I had to leave the room as I was starting to tear up by how beautiful it all was! Writing this review doesn’t feel like it gives justice to the incredible work that Laura puts into making your wedding day magical. To put it simply, she exceeded our expectations and added a colorful touch to our wedding day.

I cannot recommend Laura (Of Fig & Squill Floral Design) enough. We hired her to do the floral portion of our wedding, and the end result was above and beyond what we were imagining. Laura took the time to communicate extensively and get a clear vision of what we were looking to do, and truly made our wedding something of our own. Not only was she an expert of flowers, but also took things like color palette and layout into consideration. I had added additional centerpieces last minute for our rehearsal dinner, to which she quickly sent a quote for and was able to squeeze in on top of the work she was already dedicating to a 200+ person wedding venue. Laura also makes it a point to treat her work with a sense of artistry that I personally don't see much of with typical floral companies. Her passion for what she does is truly reflected in her work and for that alone I would highly recommend her creative services.

I was a bit apprehensive about a big floral scene and was absolutely thrilled to meet Laura. She is so relaxed, thoughtful and collaborative. A real master of cool girl low-key elegance. Instead of flowers for the dinner tables, Laura created a romantic spread of fragrant herbs and piles of candles -- a stroke of genius that perfectly matched the party mood. I met with numerous florists leading up to my 2016 Newport wedding, and none could come close to Fig & Squill's designs -- Laura's level of taste and sophistication was so obviously in another stratosphere. Once we met her, it was never a question of who we would work with. Laura was extremely communicative and really made the effort to work with my budget to maximize visual impact. She took my vision and made it better than I ever could have imagined - the end result was simply perfect. Nothing cookie cutter, nothing "pinteresty" .... lush, fresh, imaginative, and completely timeless. Perfect, perfect, perfect. I shed actual tears when I had to say goodbye to my perfect bouquet! Fig & Squill came highly recommended to me by a top New York based event planner who overheard me say I was planning a Newport wedding. I wasn't even working with this planner -- she just couldn't help blurting out Laura's name! She told me Laura had worked with the best in the business and was "one to watch out for" ... I couldn't agree more, and feel so lucky to have worked with Laura! I cannot recommend Fig & Squill highly enough!

We were delighted in every way with the beautiful arrangements Laura created for our daughter's wedding. I don't think I can do them justice in words -- but they were the perfect balance of classic beauty and romantic softness -- colors just right for this August evening event -- neither too grand nor too modest -- lush and delicate both -- rich luscious roses and delicate cosmos, zinnias and dahlias -- with some unusual touches such as unripe raspberry sprigs in the bouquet, rosemary and other herbs in the boutonnieres. Laura's recommendations as to what to put where were just right. She is an artist and her work was a big part of what made our event lovely and memorable. And she was a pleasure to work with, responsive and most agreeable in every way. Highly recommended.

We cannot recommend Fig and Squill more highly. Everything Laura created for our Cambridge, Mass. wedding, from boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony decorations, centerpieces to the flowers she arranged on our cake, was absolutely gorgeous and perfect. I lost count of the number of people who mentioned how incredible the flowers were. No tiny detail went unattended by Laura. I love flowers and plants and wanted the flowers at our wedding to be a focal point. She took my vague descriptions of flowers and colors I loved and turned them into the just the right aesthetic for our wedding-- unique, interesting, and fun-- perfect for our brunch affair and style. And my bouquet... holy moly! In addition to the end results, Laura is just a pleasure to work with, funny, kind, and super responsive. Unlike some florists, she is very upfront about the costs and creative about finding cheaper solutions when possible-- like the beautiful hand-held chuppah she put together for us with lovely flower garlands that really took it over the top. My husband and I feel so lucky we happened upon her; that she was in RI and we were in Boston was a non-issue and was probably a better fit for us-- the couple of Boston florists we looked into seemed much more cookie-cuter, more expensive, and less responsive. I can't recommend Fig and Squill more highly, Laura can make your aesthetic vision a reality and will make at least this part of the insane wedding-planning process a real pleasure.

Having previously seen her work, there was no other designer I wanted to work with for my October wedding in New Haven, CT. From the beginning, Laura listened to our ideas and skillfully developed our vision into a fully realized and perfectly executed event. Her understanding of her client's needs is exceptional and you can truly see the thought, passion and dedication behind every decision and selection she makes. Laura walks you through the entire process and continually explores how she can make the flowers more personal and best suited for your particular venue and style. Laura is not only extremely talented, but also very professional, kind and gave amazing advice and thoughtful feedback. She was always prompt in her communication with us and was completely able to work within our budget and means. When Laura walked into the room with my bouquet on our wedding day it was one of the most memorable and special moments in my life. I could not have been any happier and was just beaming from ear to ear- I did not want to put it down all night! For the gentlemen, she even made extra boutonnieres in case one broke from all the hugging; this is a perfect example of her understanding and attention to detail that is so special and unique! Overall, Laura’s love for flowers and design can be seen in every carefully selected detail and element. From the ribbon treatment on the bouquets to the last candlestick, it is clear that Laura gives her 100% effort at all times. I would without a doubt suggest Laura for your next event or wedding! I cannot rate Laura high enough for what she did for me and my wedding. I was married on June 15th, 2018 and the beauty she brought to my venue, my bouquets and boutonnière was simply, jaw droppingly, GORGEOUS. I was planning my wedding in Rhode Island from Philadelphia. Most of what Laura and I discussed was by phone and email. I was able to meet Laura in person a couple of months before the wedding and I knew immediately I made the right choice and was in expert hands. I admittedly know very little about flowers, and basically told her what colors I liked. I did ask for some gardenias and lily of the valley. She made no promises as it wasn’t exactly the right time for lily of the valley. But she came through! She had to get them from Vermont, but there they were on my wedding day, reminding of my Nana. I feel like she captured my and my husbands personalities and exactly what we were looking for for our wedding. She was so patient with me and my million questions. She helped me pick out pace card holders to match her design for the tables. The bouquets were so beautifully wrapped when she brought them to me, I didn’t want to take them out! The center pieces were breathtaking and lasted forever as my mom took some home. The arbor under which I was married was brilliant. Her attention to detail and organization helped make my wedding day dreams come true. I recommend Laura of Fig and Squill without any reservation! You will NOT be disappointed. Hiring Laura was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. We had a backyard wedding, so we met with A LOT of different vendors. When I first met with Laura we totally clicked - she is so easy to talk to, laid back and down to earth. She is honest and a great listener. I felt like I was sitting on my couch talking with a friend I've had for years! She made me feel so comfortable that I pretty much gave Laura creative autonomy over the flowers for my wedding! I gave her minimal instructions - just that we wanted colorful/seasonal flowers, herbs and center pieces that could all be taken home and enjoyed by guests. When I walked into the reception I was BLOWN away by what she had created. I didn't think flowers we're a big deal for me at our wedding but I must have said 100 times through out the night how amazing and perfect the arrangements were. She made one HUGE arrangement for our ceremony that was absolutely stunning. The morning after my wedding I walked down to the tent just so that I could see it one more time before leaving for our honeymoon. I would recommend Laura to any one getting married in New England... you will not be disappointed!

From my bouquet, to the bridesmaids bouquets, to the head table and centerpieces and everything in between - Laura completed exceeded all my wildest dreams. Laura took my vision of lush greenery and foliage with just a hint of white florals and turned it into a reality. She was amazing to work with throughout our planning process and always such a joy to correspond with. She was always timely with her email responses, always getting back to me by the end of the day.
