Lynne was really great because i was planning my wedding all the way from Alaska. She was able to go over picture of flowers online to decide what i wanted. She did exactly what i asked and didn't sneak any flowers i didnt want into the arrangements. The florist came to deliver and they were really patient with us when we didn't have the stands at the event room ontime. They waited for us and set up the flowers accordingly. Everything went very smooth and i would definately use them again!

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my Grandma, who'd recently lost her sister. I'm told the flowers did not arrive fresh, and only last one day! While $60 for a bouquet isn't a huge amount, I'm disappointed that this company lacked the integrity to honor it's advertising! I won't use them again!

Active duty military- first Valentine’s Day that I haven’t been deployed in the past 3 years. My wife never received her flowers and I was hung up on by two separate employees. They offered no condolences, only excuses that they were busy today. I would expect that a flower shop would have planned appropriately for this holiday. Abominable customer service, terrible attitude, no flowers for my wife on Valentines Day.

This morning at about 3:30 in the morning as I was dealing with my insomniac of a toddler, it suddenly hit me: Time got away from me, and today is my mom's 50th birthday. I had planned on sending her a surprise bouquet of flowers, and yet I didn't put in the order. Feverishly going to dozens of floral delivery sites, and seeing the prices for same day delivery of even a tiny bouquet, I was about to give up. Finally, I came across Portland Florist Shop and was excited to see it was locally owned and operated for many years. I ordered a bouquet and not only was it delivered in the early afternoon even though I ordered it just hours prior in the middle of the night, but the bouquet is gorgeous, and was about half the price of many other similar arrangements. I highly recommend Portland Florist Shop! Thanks so much!

Every customer is treated with respect and I have seen the employees go out of their way to please each one. After the PRO people failed me miserably, I found Portland Florist Shop. I do not live in the area so I shopped on the website. I was amazed at how many different beautiful creations they offered with delivery and completely reasonably priced. The best part is true customer service. Lynne had a question about my order and called me, unlike the PRO people. They just cancelled my order. Lynne called and we totally worked it out! Next time I order flowers in the Portland area, no question about it, I'm coming directly to Portland Florist Shop first.

I am a very unsatisfied customer, who was treated with no respect. On 1/11/12, I ordered white and red roses for my wife's funeral held on 1/14/12. On the reciept it clearly says "Spray red and white roses." When the flowers were delivered on 1/14/12, they were not the flowers I ordered, they were white roses and red carnations. Because the florist was closed on Sunday, I took the flowers and the reciept back to them on Monday and asked for them to refund my money to my credit card, but the owner Lynne began yelling and told me to leave. She then proceeded to call the police. The police showed up and gave me two options, #1 Take the flowers and leave now. Or #2 Be arrested for trespassing. I tried to get my money back for the mistake she made, and was almost arrested for confronting thier mistake. That is entirely wrong on her part. The owner Lynne said she has been in the florist business for over 30 years. I have caught her in several lies and she was extremely dis-respectful and dis-reguarded me and my wife, god rest her soul. If Lynne has been in the florist business for over 30 years, she should know how to treat a customer properly. I believe that it is very obvious that she doesn't know how. With further research I have discovered a simular pattern of disrespect, shauty business practices, as well deception in thier products. To confirm, you can research them and complaint against them through the BBB website, where there are simular complaints against them for customer abuse and unfair trade practices. I have since disputed the charges to my credit card, and have filed a complaint with the BBB, the consumer affairs, the Attorney General, the news media, have taken my business elsewhere. I also continue to advise others to do so as well.

The owner, Lynn, is so very helpful. My bouquet of brilliant flowers called Sugar n Spice is holding up for almost 2 weeks! The design had a large amount of flowers, they did not skimp at all. Even the greenery was quality, fresh and not a bunch of "filler" that makes a mess and falls apart. I cannot give enough compliments and kudos. No, this is NOT a paid endorsement. I have ordered locally and both service and quality has fallen short. So glad to have found Portland Florist. Even though I am out of their area one of their designers went out of his way to deliver my order on his way home. What service!! I can't wait til I see my next arrangement.

DO NOT BUY FLOWERS FROM HERE!!! My very expensive V-day flowers turned brown at the edges after 2 days; after 6 days half of them were dead. Call about their 10% satisfaction gurantee, and she told me it was too late because flowers only last 5-7 days. I used to work for teleflora, and they have a 7 day gurantee, no questions asked. This lady grilled me, and was RUDE.

I ordered an arrangement on their web site to be delivered the next day. It was delivered to the right place at the right time and it looked just like the photo on the web page. The flowers were fresh -- the lilies hadn't opened yet. Nice job.

The wrong flowers were delivered for mother's day. Mike called & spoke with Lynn, she apologized & said that the arrangement ordered would be delivered today. The shop is closed, no answer on phone, email, etc. UPDATE: the arrangement was delivered. It was the right one. I apologise for the way I said things, but you could've avoided all this by getting it right the first time. Sorry you cried, sorry we both cried. I'm sure that's not why you got in the flower business.

Such a disappointment. I called today about sending a potted plant/potted floral basket to my mom for Mother's Day. I have ordered things from here for her for many, many years and have always had the most amazing help with picking something out for her, as I live across the country...and my mom lives like a mile from this shop. In the past, I have called in and the people helping me have either been willing to take the time to tell me what is available and ask what my mom likes to help recommend something that would be great for her, or I have even had people offer to take a few pictures based on what my mom's tastes are and send me pictures so I can pick out something great. So I can see what I am ordering before just blindly spend like $150. I just called and the woman I spoke to was just flat out rude. She had no interest in helping me in any way. Offered no suggestions, said the stuff online won't look like what is actually delivered other than it being flowering plants or not, but colors and types of plants will just be random. I told her right at the beginning of the conversation (and several time throughout the short call) that I was from out of town in Chicago and asked if there was any way to pick out something from their selection...if she'd be willing to help me find something just right, she informed me I would just have to come in and see in person. I again said I was out of town and could use some help and she said, "Well you could come into the store" No descriptions of what is available, no offer to help find something based on colors and preferences. Just a snide remark that if I wanted to pick something for delivery I could come to the store myself. Sure, I'll just jump on a plane so I can come to the store to be sure I am spending my money on something my mom will like. So RUDE. I will have to find a new florist to help with holidays after this. Very disappointed as I have always been so happy with their help in the past and only shop here for my mom.

From all of the sub par reviews it appears that this place cannot deal with being even slightly busy and handle walk in orders. If they dont want to do walk in business they should simply hang a sign and say so and we can mosey on to the next shop. Unfortunately they dont have this sign and so I did try and walk in and buy an arrangement. After standing there for a few minutes with zero acknowledgment someone finally asked if I could be helped. They then proceeded to complain about how busy they were and that they do preordered arrangements. Please just post a sign so walk ins dont waste our time. The flowers were very pretty but the service was sub par and they clearly cannot handle the rough and tumble life of the busy world in their flower shop. Next time I will just go across the street to Safeway. They also have flowers and always greet you with a smile.

I had a sudden, urgent need to send a supportive gift to my fiance while I was in Pennsylvania. Not knowing the Portland area, I Googled and contacted Portland Florist Shop. They were extremely helpful and courteous with all of my questions and concerns, and ultimately had my order delivered before the promised time. The florist could have easily dismissed my request or provided a lower-quality product, but I was extremely impressed by the services and gifts provided. I stumbled into this floral shop after buying flowers from another place that I wasn't pleased with. I went in to see if they could wrap the flowers that I bought for someone who just lost their baby and I was denied. I wanted to pay just to make them look presentable and was still denied. I asked to speak to the person un charge, and she saud because I didn't buy flowers from her she can't do it. Then proceeds to say "it's like buying a burger from somewhere else and going somewhere else asking for a different bun". I was really appalled by the service. She had no sympathy and then said I can help you if you buy our flowers. I said thank you and left. If I knew about this place, yes I would ha e bought their flowers, but she then touched my flowers and said they're dead already. I'll never do business here with such rude customer service

I live in the UK and my parents both still live in Portland. So, I am very far away! So glad I discovered the Portland Florist Shop. I ordered flowers for my mother's birthday in March, and just now again for my father's birthday in May. Website is great, easy to use, doesn't get discombobulated by non-American billing address (believe me, that's a thing!) Flowers are delivered on the day requested, and look just like they do on the website. My mother's flowers literally lasted for weeks and weeks! They were both very pleased with their flowers from Portland Florist Shop and I will definitely head straight for them next time I want to send flowers from a distance. Highly recommended!

Went in the other day to order coffee and hot chocolates. While I was acknowledged and responded to, many times my toddler tried to communicate and say thank you to the baristas without being awknowledged. It’s hard to see your child being ignored while trying to practice their manors and communication. Other baristas have been very polite and friendly with me and my child so it doesn’t make me want to stop going here, just disappointing that not all of them seem family friendly.

The Portland florist shop has a good selection of flowers and gifts. They also promote the neighboring businesses with adds in there shop. It is a little awkward interacting with the staff. Their skills are definitely centered in flower design and not customer service. While picking flowers you can see and hear a staff member organizing deliveries. Nice flowers, strange experience.

Ordered flowers for my wedding from this shop. They were fine but disappointing because they were significantly smaller and had less flowers than in the photos on their website. I couldn't even believe they were my flowers because they didn't look anything like the pictures. The bouquets were mostly cheap filler flowers instead of the roses we ordered. Really disappointed with this business and would not order from here again.

Walked in and was greeted by no one. Looked around. Lots of plants, and pots. No prearranged flowers to choose from. Looked in the cooler , was disappointed with the selection. Waited for someone to acknowledge my presence. But they were too busy jabbering about something else. One girl looked at me from behind the arrangement counter. ...but said nothing . Just don't, it's that simple. I placed an order by phone for delivery on Valentines on Feb 13th at 09:05. When Valentine's day arrived my order wasn't delivered to my wife and when I checked my emailed receipt the amounts didn't match the quoted price. I then attempted to call them 18 times that day and had to resort to going into the store and was told they DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE ON HOLIDAYS. After 40 minutes of verifying and checking the details they confirmed I was billed the incorrect amount and that my order wasn't even prepared, so agreed to refund me. 3 days later (today) I discovered they hadn't even started a refund so had to contact the store for the refund yet again. (Oh and a customer before me had been waiting 2 hours for an order before leaving empty handed) Here are some excuses I was given; It's Valentine's day and are very busy... We don't have time to answer our phones... We show you collected your order yesterday... We have been working since before midnight and so are "a little rummed up" They have to check the full days transactions for the amount as their bank is not in the same time zone and when I offered to look up the time difference was told they didn't know where their bank was located... And my personal favorite... Some stores imitate us, are you sure you ordered from us?

They went above and beyond my expectations and drove the flower to my residence to deliver. This is about 38 miles out of their way in heavy rush hour traffic.... WOW! great customer service.

Obviously I wanted to talk to a PERSON, not look at your website. y request was very simple, and yet I was not treated with any respect. The sad part of this all, I was speaking with the owner. This was my first time ordering flowers ever. Maybe my expectations were set a bit high from the website photos, but I felt a bit underwhelmed by what I got vs what I saw on their website. Overall, the flowers we received looked good, but not quite the grand display I would have liked. Overall, I would likely buy flowers from them again, but only in person, so I know the quality of the flowers matches how I feel about the one I am giving them to.
