When my wife and I were planning our wedding, which would take place in Portland, we were living at the time in Los Angeles. We did not make one trip to Portland until the day before our wedding. Annie at Floral Sunshine was responsive to both our email and phone communication and helped us turn our ideas of colors and flowers into floral arrangements that were beautiful. She emailed us photos of flower, bouquet, and arrangement samples that helped us get a picture of what the flowers would look like on the day of our wedding. We must admit that we were anxious when the day of our wedding arrived. Our only communication with Annie to this point had been through email and only one or two phone calls. Our first glimpse of Annie's work was on the morning of our wedding when we observed the arrangements in the church and received the boutonnieres and bouquets. These had all been delivered to the church before we arrived, so we still had not met Annie in person. Her work was better than we imagined and we continued to be impressed by her work when we arrived at the reception after the wedding to see the centerpieces she had arranged at the guest tables. They were beautiful! All in all, we would recommend Annie and Floral Sunshine to everyone and anyone. We never met Annie, but we feel confident that she would be as kind and accommodating in person as she was through our email and phone communication.

Annie and her team are brilliant! They provided stunning creations for my wedding and at a price point that was an incredible value (garlands, boutonnières, bouquets and flower crowns). Annie worked with me to design bouquets that fit my style. I was thrilled when I saw how beautiful they turned out! Her team is talented and thoughtful - she even though ahead about flower crowns that I had ordered for the rehearsal and advised on best timing and storage environment so I could get them to last as long as possible. Annie is extremely responsive and easy to work with. Floral Sunshine did the floral arrangements for several other weddings that I've been to and they have all been unique and beautiful. Not only does she deliver, she takes my few words and expands upon them, and ends up with a final product that exceeds what I thought possible. I went with this location because of the overwhelming positive reviews but I ended up disappointed. I ordered a specific bouquet to be delivered same day to my grandmother on her birthday. Customer service was great and everything went smoothly until I received a photo of what actually showed up at my grandmothers. So I emailed Annie with the photos because I thought the wrong was delivered but nope, the response i was given was that depending on what is available is what they will use for bouquets which totally makes sense IF I was told this PRIOR to ordering. The bouquet on their site wasn't seasonal and there was no notes that they were "subject to change". When placing the order on the phone there was no mention of the bouquet changing or that same day delivery was a factor, so I was very disappointed. I was also informed that they actually went over budget, as if they did me a favor. I thought that was extremely rude when I paid $60 for a bouquet that look nothing like what I had chosen. I am well aware only certain flowers are available depending on the season but since I wasn't told this information I figured they had everything ready for this bouquet. Lesson learned.

My husband and I worked with Annie for our wedding in April 2019. She is definitely good at what she does. I like to give honest reviews so I'll get the one con out of the way before I gush about the pros. There was a little bit of confusion as far as vases. We had planned to put some cool LED light plates underneath the vases. I brought one of them in to show Annie to see if they would work. We discussed a vase that would work and it seemed like it was going to pan out, but in the end we got a vase that was unsafe to place on the LED plate. I'm sure this was an oversight, but it was a little sad since we had the centerpieces all lit up in our plans and would have returned the pricey lights had we known. Pros!! There are so many more pros to talk about! Annie is a work-aholic! She was responding to emails at late hours and was always prompt. Her contract and quotes were very clear and straight forward. Most importantly her florist skills are bomb. Our purple themed bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, cuff corsages, and cake blossoms were all incredible. We ended up donating most of the flowers after the wedding, and I hope someone enjoyed them as they were works of art. I think the price point was just right, and Annie is sure to upgrade your flower choice if the one you agreed on was unavailable. Annie was keen to talk about our vision beforehand and recommended flowers and combinations we might like and is very detail oriented. The bouquets were gorgeous and if you want to book an incredible professional, you've found one!

Annie knows flowers and she makes a great display. She is very talented and all of our expectations were met with the product. The reason she gets 3 stars is that she is very tough to work with. She does not communicate well or often and she does not pay attention to details you give her. She is easily flustered and was is inconsistent with her messages. You will need to get price quotes in writing because they change day to day and she won't remember what she has quoted you. In the end we chose Annie because of her floral skills and she delivered. I would say if you are planning the wedding yourself make sure your up to the task of having to constantly chase her down and solidify something in writing.

Annie did a wonderful job with our wedding bouquets, boutonnieres, and aisle dressings. I knew the colors and feel that I wanted for our floral arrangements, but I was hardpressed to even name types of flowers, let alone choose ribbons and greenery. Annie filled in the gaps for me and we got beautiful blooms with perfect succulents and greenery. I would have appreciated more contact initiated by Floral Sunshine or quicker acknowledgement of my emails, but I knew from the planning meeting that Annie was very good at her job and could be trusted to come through on event day. Floral delivery was super easy and they even delivered to two locations (one a few doors down from the venue) with minimal notice. On our wedding day, my husband declared, "I wasn't expecting to have an opinion on the flowers, but I love these!"

Working with their representative Kirsten we designed a wreath that pleased me, however; I was still nervous when I arrived at the funeral. After the service it was taken to a reception at Multnomah Club and was lovely there also. This was an important day for my family and Floral Sunshine contributed in spectacular fashion.
