met for an hour long consult for my wedding. Notes were taken, but not provided to me (and I didn't think to ask for them either). They did not do a contract with me. We discussed my flowers in length, even looking up pictures online of what shade purple and so on. The meeting went great, I left feeling confident. They took the time to research how to best do my centerpieces. Day of my wedding, half of all my flowers were the wrong color. I did not know this until I was handed my bouquet to walk down the aisle. My bouquet and centerpieces were supposed to be white and dark purple. Everything was all white. When I called after the honeymoon to see what happened, she informed me that they (she and her sister who did the consult) did not have anything in their notes about purple. To me, this makes no sense whatsoever. I know for A FACT that we discussed purple, looked at shades of purple and I was NEVER ambivalent or undecided about purple. I told her this and stated that I was never given a copy of the notes so I did not realize they hadn't written down the wrong thing. She told me she didn't provide it because I didn't ask for it. I don't feel that should fall squarely on the customer and told her as much. She immediately became hostile and rude. Talked over me, blamed me, interrupted me and ultimately took very little responsibility. I was absolutely taken aback by how aggressive and nasty she was being to me, her CUSTOMER after they messed up. Every other vendor I got quotes from, met with or ultimately hired provided me with a written quote AND contract WITHOUT me having to ask. I should've asked, yes. But I trusted them and had been happy with our meeting. It shouldn't be up to just the customer to ask for that kind of documentation for an order for a large event. Even if she is telling the truth and the notes don't indicate any purple, that is still on them. I sat there for an hour with BOTH of them and discussed purple calla lilies and hydrangeas, to be combined with white flowers. So that is poor listening on their end if they didn't ever write down purple. She then became patronizing stating "well, you're married right?" When I told her this was an unacceptable response she then tried to make herself the victim. The flowers the delivered and set up were beautiful. But they were the wrong color. I could have gotten past that, but I cannot get past the way I was treated when I called to discuss what went wrong. Not providing a contract, or any written documentation (unless the customer asks) are poor business practices and their unwillingness to accept any real responsibility and to attack me after their shortcomings does not allow me to recommend their services.

The ladies at A Flower Place were very pleasant when I visited them Monday and did a great bouquet at a very reasonable price for delivery at my wife's workplace on Valentines Day 2014. I will definitely use them again the next time I need flowers. I am happier with their service than I have been with the last few times I've used internet order like Proflowers or FTD online. Visit them, use them, buy from them. They do a very good job. To quote my wife about her flowers, "Love Love!"

I received an email from the recipient explaining how beautiful it was. I was also so happy that the price was so reasonable. Well done Jane!

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. On Saturday October 6, I called from out of state to order flowers for someone who lives close to this florist shop. My goal in calling a shop close by (instead of using an online service) was that if I spoke to someone directly and explained exactly what I wanted, I would have the best chance of surprising my daughter-in-law with a beautiful birthday arrangement. I asked for white roses, but she told me they didn't have any because of a large funeral order that weekend. I told her specifically that I wanted an ALL WHITE arrangement and asked what she would recommend... she said she had some beautiful white lilies and could add some white hydrangea and white babies breath. I told her that sounded great! She promised she would make it really pretty! What got delivered on October 8? PINK ROSES, a couple of lifeless white roses, some PINK wax something or other, topped off with a PINK ribbon. THAT’S NOT AT ALL WHAT WE AGREED TO JUST TWO DAYS BEFORE! There’s no way she could NOT have understood the ALL WHITE request and if she could not fill the order, she should have called me first thing in the morning to discuss the situation before sending over something that I did NOT order. When I called her yesterday afternoon, just a few hours after the delivery, she said she remembered having talked to me and said she remembered that I asked for all white. But she thought the pink roses were pretty so she used them instead of the lilies. She told me SHEthought the arrangement was really pretty but never once did she apologize for changing the order… the only thing she did was offer to go back and pick up the arrangement. At that point, there was no one at home who could have handed the wrong order back to the delivery driver! I suggested she credit the delivery fee (even that would have been just a small gesture of an unspoken apology) but she fell silent and after a few awkward seconds, I finally said “forget it. I’m disappointed but I guess it’s a hard lesson learned.” She replied “ok” and promptly hung up. WOW! Most regrettably, this is yet another experience indicating that customer service is rarely practiced any more. As a business owner myself, there’s no way I would have let a customer hang up without making sure she was truly satisfied. Please do not patronize A Flower Place on Santa Fe Avenue in Edmund, OK.

I've utilized A flowers twice sending flowers from out of state. They have friendly service and they go out of their way to help customers. The flowers they send are artfully arranged and delivered very professionally. A Flowers goes above and beyond the standard for good customer service and is one of the exceptional businesses I've dealt with. I say thank you! I will continue to utilize their services.

The corsages we ordered were pricey, but they were nicely done. I would have preferred a little less bling on the ribbon, so you might want to specify a satin ribbon versus sparkly. The quality of the flowers and the placement was spot on.

This place does horrible work. My daughters bought a full casket spray for my mothers casket and when we got there it was very pretty but extremely small. When my daughter called them from the cemetary letting them know this was unacceptable the person told her they could come to the funeral and take them back. What kind of business tells someone at a funeral that? I would think twice before using this flower shop they charge you a high dollar price and make promises but soon as they have their money and you walk out the door they screw you over badly.

I recently had A Flower Place put together 2 arrangements for our son's rehearsal dinner, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the result! Large, full spider mums of various colors arranged in my mother's antique glass vase was perfect for our Tex-Mex theme. The owners were knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, and accepting of our budget. I will recommend A Flower Place to all my friends looking for a dependable local florist! I'm from Edmond, but moved away from work. Recently, I tried to arrange flowers through one of the big companies (not A Flower Place), but received nothing and no response to concerns. So I was looking for more of a local, small business. Wow, A Flower Place came through. Saturday before Mother's Day, I'm making last minute arrangements and they worked with me to the extreme of describing their inventory and working with me to arrange a beautiful bouquet. Last minute corsage request Friday afternoon for my Daddy Daughter dance. A Flower Place took my order, credit card, and on Saturday morning, and hour before I needed to pickup my daughter, it was ready! Wow, that's quick and courteous service! There is actually a lot more to this store than just flowers. I was here a year ago and the amount of cute, pretty, and quality clothes you can find here is amazing.
