The new store is a big improvement, lots more space. The staff is nice and they have a wide variety of plants as well as pots. Fun when winter thaws and you need some life in your apartment.

I have been a loyal customer since I was living in Williamsburg for the past 5 years. I love all the plants and flowers I have purchased there. Unfortunately the past year the staff has changed and the service has gone from truly friendly and helpful to snobby and dismissive. Almost like they are doing you a favor to help you. This situation I have encountered the past few times I have been there. Again product is amazing but service is horrible! I hope it changes and goes back to the beauty of being what it was at the beginning!

This isn't a garden store so much as a curated plant shop. It's okay, but maybe a little too gentrified for me, with a Wallpaper magazine kind of vibe. I prefer the helpful hippie and serious gardening chops of Rose Red and Lavender six or seven blocks away.

I came to buy a plant literally 5 people at the store and the seller sayd they are too busy to set up the plant i wanted to buy in the vase and i left the store without buy anything. I believe that if the owner were present in the store he didn't let the customer leave that easy .

Beautiful shop with everything you need to make your home more green. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and gave good instructions on how to care for my new plants. They also have an amazing terrarium selection and even do classes.

They have super nice plants and products with not super expensive prices. Space are also great. BUT, some staff were very rude. I love their plants but very disappointed.

Cute place with attractive inventory, but everybody I spoke with came off as having zero personality. I give them 1 star for a nice plant selection, and one additional star for having nice candles. My experience was bizarre. No smiles, no attempts at humor, lots of ignored hellos on the way in, topped with ignored goodbyes on the way out. Also the $15 they charged me for moving my plant from the plastic pot it came in, to the colorful pot I bought was annoying. Potting soil costs $8 for 15lbs or so, and it took 5 minutes to put half a pound in a pot. So if you are going to gouge me, at least make me feel good about it by engaging in friendly conversation. And despite how much I asked for help picking out some colorful "energy rocks" to adorn the plant, nobody wanted to help me do it. I was told the little signs on the rocks were self explanatory. So I ended up blowing an additional $22 on some stupid rocks that they made me feel stupid for buying. I had a simple goal: buy a cool gift for a close friend. This store succeeds in creating an environment where one could feel satisfied overspending for a plant and a pot. But if the staff doesnt play along, one just walks away feeling ripped off.

Sprout is my go to florist now. What a hidden gem! Give all of your money to Sally, she knows what she is doing! She is so fun to work with and she is so honest and sweet. If your a man like me who knows basically nothing about botany, trust her! My girlfriend loved the bouquet she helped me put together so much that she came back a week later to buy gifts for her coworkers. She, too trusted Sally and left with some incredible arrangements! *Update below:* Just called them to order flowers for delivery. And I quote “we are closing in ten minutes can you call back tomorrow” seriously way to make me feel like an unappreciated customer. I am traveling and took time out to call your specific store when I could have used an online company. You were one of my favorite stops when I’m Brooklyn but I guess you don’t need my business. UPDATE: the manager called me back later and apologized and assured me this was not their normal practice and took responsibility for the unfortunate customer service. I did place a floral delivery order with them, hopefully it all goes smooth from here, I expect it will knowing they have a good manager and everyone is allowed a bad day.

We moved from Chicago to Brooklyn and were looking for a friendly garden center to help us replace the succulents that didn't survive the move. We were thrilled to find out the the Sprout Home that was just down the street from us in Chicago had a sister location just down the street from us on Brooklyn. Score! Whereas the prices here can be a bit steep, the products are very good and the employees are extremely helpful. They will prevent you from putting a plant in a container where it will surely die and advise you on what kind of lighting each plant needs. They are experts on succulents, cactus and terrariums. They will not look down on you when you say things like, "Ummm...am I supposed to water a cactus?" I have never taken their classes but I have heard great things and will probably sign up for a few.

Sprout Home is the cutest plant shop ever tucked away in Brooklyn's hip Williamsburg. I was able to find everything I needed for my terrarium. They have a lot of supplies and already arranged items. This is perfect for an apartment or gift. They also have larger pots, flowers, and things to build your garden if you have more space. Service is very friendly. It may be a bit slow but that's due to the many customers and just two registers. Don't mind the bees in the backyard.

Spacious place. I went there once but I’ve been obsessing about it ever since. They have such a nice variety of plants and their service is friendly. There are many other things to look at too, which have easily inspired me. I plan to visit again soon. Wishing there were more places like this one.

Beautiful store that is filled with different plants, planters and flowers. It is really large and you will definately find a perfect plant for your place. Some plants were cheaper than the other NYC stores I have visited. They also do delivery on larger items. Definately stop by if you are in the area.
