I used Designs by Ahn as the Florists for my venue and they did a spectacular job. The flowers were beautiful and very classy and looked much more expensive than they were. They knew my venue, Tappan Hill Mansion very well and were able to transform the reception space into a really warm, inviting and beautiful space. Their prices were very reasonable compared to the other vendors I looked at and but their designs were extremely beautiful and tasteful. They have studio on 5th Ave in Manhattan and you would expect their prices to be way more expensive given the quality and care they take when designing your bouquet. They were able to provide a sample of my flowers after I signed the contract but there are great pictures of their work on yelp and Instagram that truly depict their style and design expertise. They were really receptive to working within my budget and were still able to execute my vision under the constraints I gave them. A few days before the wedding, I had second thoughts and asked to remove the installation of lights from my contract and Designs By Ahn was kind enough to take it off my contract and give me a refund. It was truly a pleasure working with the team. They do really beautiful work and have a tasteful eye for design.

Everything from the boutonnieres to the bouquets to the centerpieces were put together perfectly and looked absolutely beautiful. I really can't say enough amazing things about Designs by Ahn, who provided the flowers and décor for my wedding this July. Starting with the first consultation, it was clear to me that Victoria and her team understood my vision (without me having to say much because I really don't know much about flowers and décor!). She also made sure to keep within our budget. Whenever I asked for something new, she would tell me right away whether it would impact it. She is creative when it comes to working within the budget - for example, she repurposed most if not all of our church flowers to be used at the cocktail hour and reception at no additional cost. Most importantly, the flowers and way she presented them were beyond my wildest dreams. I am not an emotional person and I cried when my venue gave me a private room reveal. Her taste is incredible and she works magic. Additionally, she and her team were easy to work with and very kind (non-intimidating, unlike other NYC florists). Also, her pricing is very fair. I met with other florists and they quoted me thousands of dollars more for the same thing. You will not regret choosing Designs by Ahn! I am already thinking of throwing other events just so I can work with them again - and I was never a flowers person before this!

I had a disappointing experience with Designs By Ahn. My order was pretty small - 2 garlands and 4 bouquets for my wedding. At the consultation Victoria didn't ask many questions regarding the design of what i was looking for. When I asked if she had samples of anything she said she usually does samples for bigger weddings. I took this a sign that she knows what she's doing and I can just send her some example pictures of what I'm looking for. However, it was plain apathy. The bouquets I got did not reflect the color scheme I requested (blue, purple, bright red, burgundy) and were not so much designed as pulled together. The garlands looked nice, but the whole order arrived on a late side, so she was still setting up when the guests started arriving, and had to be hurried out. Overall, the florist was the only disappointing vendor i dealt with for my wedding. Attached are 2 pictures of the examples I gave them of what I wanted, and 2 pictures of what I actually got (no blue, purple or bright red in sight)

Victoria created the most visually stunning floral chandelier and floral arrangements we have ever seen - she was an absolute pleasure to work with and a true artist. Let's start with: yes, it was a beautiful bouquet. But not what I ordered or wanted. I sent them a picture of one of their own bouquets and in the end it looked all different and didn't fit to my wedding colors. The color of the ribbon was peach instead of dusty rose and they didn't even have my color. Also there was a grey tone for my bridesmaids although it should've been dusty rose, too. When we came to see the flowers, no one really seemed to be interested in us and the girl changing the flowers in the bouquet seemed really lost. Me and my maid of honor just stood there forever waiting in the corridor waiting for her to change some flowers. E-Mail contact before was nice but all in all a little disappointing in personal. Wouldn't order again.

Designs by Ahn did the flowers for our wedding ceremony and reception in Chelsea New York this April. They did an incredible job from the planning stages to the event. The office staff who coordinated with us ahead of the event were wonderful to work with and top professionals. Victoria has a great aesthetic eye and is so easy to work with as well. Design sensibility is key when planning an event this grand and she does it with ease, style and grace! They were always quick to respond, and even though we made changes up until the last moment they never had a problem with it. On the wedding day, the blossoms in the church were perfect, in size, color and stature and they put them in a perfect spot perfect spot where they created a beautiful archway to walk through. For the reception, the tables were more than exquisite. They helped order and choose the tablecloths from a huge array of books that they had and they coordinated all of the details. We purchased some items for the table and rented others and again they were flexible with it all. The florals were a muted tonality that matched my dress, which was a mocha cocoa blush color. They were perfect and talked about by all! They came in and set everything up during the day so by the time we walked in it was perfection! We used candelabras, candles, and votive candles, and these were magnificent and just as we had envisioned for the space. The professional way that Victoria’s team worked and got the job done was very much appreciated by all. They handled any last minute details and situations on the spot, were incredible to work with all the way from set up, moving the pieces from the chapel to reception area and the break down organization. We felt honored to work with Designs by Ahn and would highly recommend them to all.

Victoria, Emily, Jay and the DBA team are phenomenal! Victoria was very flexible and patient when we are discussing options and budget, even offered a preview before we booked. Emily helped us revised and followed up with every details leading up to the big day. Jay not only delivered the result but went above and beyond to create one one-of a kind asymmetrical alter decoration, geometric center pieces and amazing pie table arrangements. We had a a romantic fall Brooklyn wedding, thanks to DBA. If you are in the NYC area, look no further. This is the florist who does not have a minimal and will work with you until you are happy!

Wife was on a trip to NYC with friends for her birthday. Wanted to do something nice so I had flowers delivered to her hotel by Designs by Ahn. Flowers were beautiful but for some reason they did not last very long. They issued a full refund which they did not have to do. Problem resolution was excellent. Would definitely use them again.

Experience of ordering was very good. Good communication. However, the flowers I received were wilted and looked 'old', like they had been prepared days before. They were not fresh. Disappointment. I spent nearly $200 and the flowers were not worth it. Poor quality and not fresh.

My husband and I selected Designs By Ahn to provide the flowers for our wedding day. Choosing flowers was one of the things I was most excited to plan for my wedding day, so I put a lot of thought into which florist and ended up going with Designs By Ahn at the high recommendation of one of our friends. We feel so lucky to have found them. Our flowers arrangements were the most beautiful we have ever seen. We provided them with our budget, overall aesthetic, and some favorite flowers we wanted included. Victoria, Emily, and the team listened to our ideas and then made them into a reality that totally surpassed our expectations. The flowers were so fresh and came in such interesting colors that they were practically glowing. We wanted a beachy, fun, but still elegant feel- our flowers were all that. But they were arranged with so much attention to detail and taste, that they were elevated beyond anything we could have thought of. Our photographer, who regularly photographs weddings, actually said they were the most beautiful flowers she had ever seen. We still have several arrangements around our apartment to remind us of our favorite day and we definitely know who we will be calling for special occasions in the future! Had my wedding flowers made by Designs by Ahn. My main frustration was that the flowers for the bouquet and table centerpieces didn't look perfectly healthy for my wedding, but to be fair I think it had to do with the hot weather. 3 days before my wedding when I visited her store to see the flowers, I told Victoria that I noticed that the flowers weren't doing well, and she explained that the particular flowers that I had would bloom with very curly petals. I then asked her to switch one particular kind of flowers from with some other ones, and I was told that she had already purchased the flowers from the market and could not be very flexible with the switch over. But on the day of the wedding, the flowers looked worse (petals were more curled up) and some of the white flowers had wrinkles on the petals, and the dusty millers were wilted down. I didn't even bother to bring home the bouquet because it was not in a good shape at the end of the day. Another big disappointment was that I asked specifically for a cascade of flowers on my wedding cake, but when I saw the cake on my wedding day, I was shocked to see that the flowers were simply laid out on the top tier and in between the 2nd and 3rd tier of the cake. I don't know if it was because my request did not get to her, or if the cake bakery messed up the flowers. In any event, the amount of flowers on the cake did not look like they would be enough to make a cascade configuration. Her team did a great job in setting up the florals for the gazebo at my ceremony though.

Designs By Ahn --- absolutely fantastic. Victoria Ahn is remarkable. There is no other word to describe her. (And her team is fantastic as well). She is so good at what she does, and she worked with us to make an absolutely SPECTACULAR wedding. She absolutely exceeded our expectations in everything she did - from working with us in our budget, to the overall design of the event, to the constant communication, to advice and guidance (on some things that didn't even pertain to the flowers.) She has a keen eye for detail, a wonderful sense of creativity and is just a joy to work with. The tables she designed for our wedding were stunning - as were the wedding party flowers, display arrangements and the amazing giant 'table number/seating chart presentation' she ingeniously created. For our wedding overall, we had asked for a fusion of rustic and elegance while maintaining a sophisticated, masculine feel, and what Victoria came up with blew our minds. To add to it all, Victoria is wonderfully personable, warm and extremely easy to work with. She cares about the work she does (she has no problem saying 'that may not be such a good idea' - and moves right onto another creative option). We found it to be her mission to work with us in capturing our vision, and she NEVER allowed us to worry which is so important when planning a wedding. If you're considering working with Designs By Ahn, hire them. You'll be MORE than satisfied. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Never have I seen such an amazing and beautiful compilation of flowers. I wish they would last forever, (although they did last for several days after even without a proper water case!). Outstanding! I was a week out from my Court House wedding and I realized I really wanted to have a Bouquet, Boutonnières and Corsages. I found Designs By Ahn and Emily and they were a lifesaver. All I gave them were my colors and two inspiration photos. The flowers that came were the most beautiful I've ever seen. My photographer told me that she took "an embarrassing amount" of pictures of my bouquet because it was the best she had ever seen. Every moment interacting with Emily at Designs by Ahn was easy, and quick. For a bride in the week leading up to her wedding I so appreciated it.

I have been a big fan of the well designed, elegant, and sophisticated floral arrangements by Designs by Ahn since I discovered the studio in 2011. It wasn't even a question that I would ask them to provide the flowers for my small wedding this past weekend. On the wedding day -- unfortunately the flowers did not arrive at the scheduled time. When we called to ask about the status, they said they had the date wrong and were planning to deliver the next day. They asked if we wanted them to try to still try and make it -- but that would have meant delaying our ceremony, so we opted for a wedding without flowers. Three days later -- we have yet to hear a word from Designs by Ahn...

Let me start by saying that I LOVE these arrangements. They are so beautiful. However, after 3 days I already had dying flowers. I kept the water fresh, kept them in the proper environment, everything. My boyfriend contacted the florist today letting them know the issues I was having with these flowers and their response was, "For that arrangement, it's typical." What? It is not typical for a $100+ arrangement to start dying 3 days after receiving them. I've received flowers from less prestigious florists and have had them last for almost 2 weeks. Love the arrangements, but quality leaves much to be desired. Probably won't order from here again :( First image is how they looked the day I received them. You can see how beautiful they were. The other photos are from 2 and 3 days after.

I was so glad I was able to find DBA after contacting and meeting with a few florists serving the Mnhttn area.. The quotes I got from most sounded very inflated while another told me my vision couldn't be achieved under a certain budget.. However, Victoria's tone was more open and approachable.. Given that brides are notoriously the hardest type of clients to please, her persistant pleasantness left a lasting impression.. I had pretty specific ideas and she was able to create my vision according to my desriptions in a series of emails that they somehow managed to keep a very good track of.. I had never seen photos of hers with the type of garland runners I had in mind so I was very nervous about how she would interpret all my ideas but it was the best feeling when we walked into our venue tranformed with all their beautiful touches just as I had dreamt of! She even sourced a particular type of candelabra for our tables and was able to get my favorite type of flowers for my bouquet.. Thank you! Even left w/o specific descriptions, she would create a more beautiful look better than what you would expect.. I would recommend her for any type of wedding big or small as she seems flexible -coincidently I discovered 3 mutual friends are using her as well.. Her flowers were so so important in creating a romantic and dreamy ambience to our wedding!
