Blumz gives spectacular service. We are a Detroit based non-profit and Blumz assisted us with our annual fundraising event. We decided to go with them again for this year's event. Their centerpieces added the perfect touch of class and warmth to our fundraiser. We were able to give our guests the centerpieces and they were thrilled to take them home. Blumz gives a personal touch to all of their work. From their sales team to their customer service I would encourage anyone to try them out. You won't regret it!

I would like to thank Lisa at Blumz in Detroit for taking the time to make my experience of ordering flowers from out of town so perfect. I ordered "Free Spirits Fly" for my sister at Karmanos cancer Institute in Dearborn. She received them today and called and said the flowers were so beautiful!!! Terrible company. I ordered flowers for my husband and sent them to his office this Valentines Day. I called at 7 am. By 2 pm they had not arrived. When I called the woman rudely told me she had no idea where they were because she couldnt keep track of every order they took. The flower got there after all the employees had gone at 6 pm. At 8 pm they called the house and said they would deliver them to our home. Really? At 8 pm. They obviously had never heard of Valentines Day and could not mitigate the all the orders. They SUCK.

My wife and I ordered flowers for our grandmother for a funeral it was 78 dollars with delivery to go right down the street, when we got to the funeral home it was the smallest bouquet of flowers so so disappointed and so was our 94 year old grandmother. I know what flowers cost I buy my wife all the time I get a much bigger bouquet of flowers for 50 dollars

Great across the board. Product quality, friendly communication and delivery all 5 stars. 4 stars because after providing pictures for what I was looking for, they did not adequately describe what they would not be able to replicate. They built a great product in its own right, but felt they were not active about describing what could not match the sample images when they knew better. Regardless, I would definitely use them again.

Jerome and the team not only provided exceptional service, but really brought to life our "under the sea" theme for the Michigan Science Center Gala. Their creativity turned the inside of a normal tent into a classy underwater oasis, while staying within our budget. This is why we keep going back to the magnificant Blumz team.

I went on Ferndale forum to ask about a good florist. The majority recommended Blumz. Worst vendor decision I made for my wedding. They are overpriced and offer very poor service for what they provide. The staff you work with have a flat affect and provide no empathy for how important this day is for you. I initially worked with a staff person named Pam. Worked out all the details for the centerpieces and flowers. When I emailed Pam about something a month or so later the emails kept getting sent back, so I called to speak to her. I was then informed she no longer worked there, and the staff couldn't understand why a bride a few months away from her wedding was worried that the woman she worked All the details out with was no longer there. I should've ran then. Then I got stuck with Megan who ignored half of the questions in my emails and had to re ask me half of the stuff I went over with Pam. I went over the seating chart with her, but at the last minute I had to make some changes due to some guests not being able to come. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HER that if the changes couldn't be made to stick with the original, as the sample she sent me had errors on it that would screw up everything. She assured me it was taken care of and the new chart would be used. Of course, the wrong chart was used and all of my tables were one off, causing chaos at the venue. My in laws were sat in the back, my cousin from Hawaii in the back corner as well, the venue didn't know who had allergies as the tables were different from what I told them, chairs were missing from tables. It was a mess. When I brought this to Megan's attention, she ignored my emails and only responded when I told her I was going to email the CEO. Jerome, the manager, was very kind and offered us a $380 refund. (Nothing compared to what we paid). But obviously he has no hiring ability. So if you want a stress free day, pass on Blumz.

I had bought some special balloons online for my toddler's birthday and needed somewhere to get them filled, I was glad that they offered that service (I was told a couple other places that they didn't fill balloons that you didn't buy there). I also bought some more balloons while I was there. They were quick and friendly. They also had a great selection of plants and flowers when I walked in, I will definitely being going back there. I have also received flowers from here a couple of occasions and they were very well done with excellent quality flowers, I can't speak to the price though because I have never ordered them before.

My sister, in Seattle, called me the day before a family friends funeral, panicked because she thought she 3 days to order flowers, not realizing that that time had passed. The florist our family uses had already closed for the day so I had her call you guys since I've seen your work before. She was worried that the arrangement would look like left over somethings and nothing like the photo. When I arrived at the services I was blown away with how beautiful the arrangement and pleased that it looked nothing like the photo online, but better! Great job! Beautiful work! I went in for wedding consultation with Lauri back in February and until this day I never received a quote. Me and my fiancé spend over hour talking to her and discussing flowers. I was very disappointed with the overall meeting and her professionalism. She wasn't prepared for the meeting, was asking many questions, there was even a person typing everything we have discussed but unfortunately I never received any follow up emails, quotes, not even a call. They waisted my time and I will not be shopping there at all. As a bride you have questions and obviously you will discuss budget. She asked me to place a $500 deposit without seeing a quote, because no matter what my total is I will spend more then $500 on flowers. Do not get tricked by what she says, yes you may or may not spend that amount of money but quote is a must before any money is exchanged. There are many other flower shop who would like to do business with you and would go over their way to make you feel confident with your flower choices and most of all provide you with a quote. Thank you for Blumz on the response. I just want to note that I scheduled the appointment at a bridal show in January and none of the staff members told me they usually do not take appointments the weekend before Valentine's day. Flower shop being in business 18 years should be able to handle valentines day orders and scheduling appointments and follow thru accordingly. I send detailed email to your Wedding & Event Consultant on Jan 26 with all the details about the wedding including images, she had my email and contact information few weeks before the appointment. If it was an issue taking an appointment on Feb 9 your staff should have mentioned it and asked me to pick a different date or reschedule. I did actually selected another flower shop your staff mentioned during our meeting and I'm grateful for the recommendation.

My son bought me a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers for my Birthday (belated). They only lasted 3 days. How sad. I threw them away mid way through the 3rd day. I sent him a picture of dying flowers, but he was out of town, again. He was unable to do anything.

Blumz was an absolute pleasure to work with. Initially I met with Christa to discuss my vision. She spent so much time with me and was such a huge help. She asked all the questions I hadn’t considered. My bouquet turned out absolutely beautiful it was exactly what I imagined and was one of my favorite parts of the whole day! Blumz also made a gorgeous garland of eucalyptus to hang from the pergola where we were married. I was able to bypass the delivery fee by having a family member pick up the flowers the day of. Blumz was super easy to work with and does an excellent job! Five stars!

We had a lot of different venues to be addressed and Megan went over and above to make sure I could rest assured she will make sure it could all happen and she did not disappoint. What beautiful flower arrangements from the table settings (tons of compliments from guests) to my daughters gorgeous bouquet. From the time we met with Megan and the designer, my daughter just explained the look and feel she wanted and the colors and they took that and ran with it all the way to the finish line to get the gold. I cannot express enough how great the experience was. All the things you want in a florist high quality product and great customer service.

I have had a few experiences with Blumz in the past but this last experience made me hesitant to have any contact with them again. My sister lives out of state and was hoping to have flowers delivered for my aunts surprise retirement party on a Sunday. At checkout, Sunday delivery was an option for her and she paid the delivery fee as well as the shipping and handling fee. I was the contact person for the order (as the party was a surprise) and I received a call from an employee on Saturday stating the flowers were on the schedule to be delivered on Saturday. I told her that the delivery was supposed to take place on Sunday during my aunts surprise party. The employee stated that they were on the schedule for Saturday and also that they don’t do deliveries on Sunday’s unless it’s a funeral (despite Sunday delivery being an option at checkout.) despite the employee offering no solutions to the issue, I attempted to work with the employee to accommodate the delivery person, but the employee refused to give me an estimated time of delivery or even a time frame during which the flowers would be delivered. I hung up, double checked that the order was indeed for Sunday and called the employee back. As no time frame was able to be established (and the fact that an early delivery would ruin the surprise) I asked the employee if the flowers could be redelivered on Sunday. She said yes and asked for a time frame. I told her that I would be able to accept the flowers at noon or anytime thereafter to which she said okay. It is midnight on Monday and the flowers never arrived. Incredibly disappointed in Blumz customer service and the fact that my sister wasted her money on flowers that never arrived. Edit: Please know that the businesses response to my review is incorrect. I LIVE at the residence the flowers were to be delivered to. There was no note left, no tag left to contact the deliverer. MY number was the contact number and I called the business back after I had received a missed call and when they told me the flowers were out for delivery I specifically asked for a Sunday delivery as requested, to which the woman I spoke with asked what time we would be available and I responded any time after noon. NO ONE brought up a Monday delivery as the flowers were for a surprise party on Sunday. When I had spoken to the employee on the phone, the delivery person hadn’t even been to our house yet, so I don’t know why they would state that someone left a note (that again, never occurred.) Further, no one contacted my sister to verify this delivery or to tell her that Sunday delivery “wasn’t an option.” It wasn’t until my sister contacted Blumz Sunday in an email detailing her disappointment that anyone contacted her about the situation. I don’t know how they keep their records, but please know that the events they stated happened did not happen. Yes, we did receive the flowers eventually, but given the fact that whomever I spoke with on the phone was rude and unhelpful and the fact that the response to my review was met with “records” of things that did not happen, Blumz is still not a place I’d recommend to others.

I needed some flowers in a flash and hate calling the 800 flower type companies, so I called Blumz and they were able to put together a beautiful arrangement and delivered in an accelerated time frame. I called at 11am, needing it same day by 4pm, then I called them at 12:30 to see if they could deliver instead by 2:30, so I couldn't have been more pleased with Nicole, Ann and the whole bunch!

I was sent a gorgeous arrangement for Valentine’s Day. The person who delivered was prompt and very courteous. The arrangement itself is beautiful, very well put together, and contains very fragrant roses (my whole office smells like roses). The arrangement also contained chocolate truffles that were to die for. I highly recommend this place.

The florists have no idea what they're doing and have no human decency when it comes to grieving guests. They have sold me barren and ugly flowers and tried giving me the most expensive ugliest roses. Lavender is a flower not a color. So no I don't want a painted wilted ugly purple rose. "Well we don't have fresh lavender..." then please give me the dried lavender... Hands over the most twiggy looking one with the least amount of purple buds on it. Thank you for making mothers day and my mom's birthday such a grotesque bouquet but since it's going on a grave why waste better flowers right? Don't go unless you want to spend a pretty penny on ugly dead flowers for the people you love.

Review of Blumz by J.R. Designs Listed by the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home as a local service. Summary: Failed to deliver as promised. Lied about the delivery time. Unorganized. Poor customer service. I advise highly against using their services if you want what you order to arrive at the right place at the right time. Detail: Blumz promised to deliver flowers for a visitation on Friday at 6:00 PM. The plan was to have the flowers for the visitation Friday and the service on Saturday. The flowers weren’t delivered on Friday or on Saturday in time for the service. After realizing the flowers weren’t at the service, I called Blumz around 12:15 on Saturday. They said the flowers were on the truck and would be delivered by 6:00 PM that evening. I informed them that they were supposed to have been delivered at 6:00 PM the previous evening. They apologized and said they would have them at the funeral home before the service started at 1:00 PM. The flowers arrived at 1:15 and thus were unavailable for both the visitation and service. I contacted Blumz after the service to request a refund and was told that the flowers had been delivered before the service started. I called the funeral home to confirm the timing and they said the flowers had been delivered at 1:15 PM…15 minutes after the funeral started. Blumz later confirmed that this was correct. They initially said that no refund would be allowed as the flowers had been delivered. They later provided a 25% discount. It seems that they felt taking 25% of the responsibility for missing 100% of their promises (both the Friday and Saturday events), was adequate customer service. I’m disappointed that Blumz did not fulfill either one of the commitments they made and then chose not to take responsibility. Even though they were very nice while taking the order, their inability to do what they said they would do and then their complete lack of customer service ensures that I will never rely on their services again.

I recently worked with Jerome from Blumz for my wedding this past November, and let me tell you they fulfilled my vision and beyond! From the elegant and tasteful flowers to Jerome’s day of coordinating – everything exceeded my expectations…and this is coming from a person who is very picky! Jerome was patient with me while I changed my mind many times, and was able to envision my vision – even when I couldn’t clearly describe what I wanted. The entire day ran smoothly, and I was a calm bride thanks to Jerome keeping us on track. When I first walked into my reception, my heart exploded because everything was perfect. They even managed to make the flowers more beautiful than the pictures I showed them. It was truly the reception and day of my dreams…but better thanks to Jerome and the entire Blumz team! Thank you guys!!!

I used Blumz for my wedding bouquets and boutonnieres only. Overall my experience was good. Megan was the only person whom I spoke with for anything. She was responsive and helpful to my questions, which I had many. We emailed many times due to my many questions and she showed much patience. So with all of that communication there was much description as to how I wanted the bouquets and I also included pictures. That's why I was shocked when I saw them the morning of. I even questioned if they were mine. I did ask for 1-2 maroon colored flowers in my bouquet & 1 maroon flower in the bridesmaids so that was how I knew they were mine. The bouquets I did receive were beautiful & there was so much going on that day, that I just did not have time to contact Blumz that day & chose to accept what was given. I contacted Megan a few days ago to inform her that I appreciated her help & that overall I enjoyed working with her, but that I was a bit disappointed that the bouquets weren't exactly what we talked about or what I showed her. I haven't heard anything back. I'm not looking for anything from Blumz, maybe just some recognition of the situation. I also want to give other brides a heads up about this situation so they make sure to carve out some time to check their bouquets & contact the company the day of should this happen to them.

I cannot say enough about the service !!!! Not to mention the sheer beauty, art, and talent that goes into each arrangement. I will not send flowers from any other florist! Ever notice how each place (even old standbys you remember from your childhood) all offer the same arrangements?? This place offers guaranteed unique and beautiful arrangements that your recipient will not receive doubles of. If you set out to find something you cannot find elsewhere - Do yourself a favor and look here! They could not deliver our arrangements to our friend as he was in intensive care. They checked daily for about a week to find out when he could get them - then emailed me to let me know! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!
