I used to pass Brattle Street florist when living in Massachusetts years ago, and the smell as I walked by was unforgettable. Like a blast of freshness in the stale Cambridge city air. Years later (today), I found them online after searching for a florist to send flowers to my sister, who has been sick for weeks and is about to weather winter storm Nemo in Cambridge this weekend. I called (from my sunny home in NC) and the man mentioned that the blizzard had started, but that he would try to get a bouquet to my sister that day. An hour later, I received a photo of the most gorgeous bunch of flowers I had ever seen - flowers that in an hour had been arranged AND delivered, in a blizzard, to my sick sister, so not only reminded me that this was the same flower shop we used to love growing up, but also said they were hands down the most beautiful flowers she had ever seen. I now have my exclusive florist. Delivery in under an hour in a blizzard can't be beat.

I was that bride that knew nothing about flowers, and they ended up being one of my favorite touches of the entire day! Randy was extremely flexible and professional about working with any budget and any style. I sent him pictures my mother and I found online and he was able to take it and run with it to blow my mind. I was so excited on the day of the wedding to see the flowers throughout the venue and I received so many compliments. Everyone was excited to bring a little piece of the wedding home with them. Even in pictures from the day, I am still receiving complements on how stunning the flowers were. Overall, Randy was able to predict my wildest dreams all within a reasonable price point.

Brattle Square Florist is my go to place for floral arrangements for all occasions. Any time I come here I tell the staff what my budget is and then walk around the store with them pointing to everything that catches my eye. They will tell me the name of the flower and then recommend things that will compliment what I have picked out. They never rush you, and are very good about keeping to the budget you tell them. Once I have all my flowers they will cut them for me and arrange them nicely in my glass vase. The flowers are colorful and always well received. The flowers are very fresh and will last nearly a week on most occasions if you change the water.

I cannot day enough good things about Brattle Square Florist! I would give 6 or 10 stars if I could. They did our wedding flowers and I get bouquets there all the time. The plants and flowers are always high quality. Steven and his mom head up a fantastic, helpful staff who are always friendly and also have good advice for plant care. This is the place!

I come here a lot to buy plants and flowers. Their prices are a lot more reasonable than Petali nearby, the selection larger, and the quality no worse! The man and woman who work here are friendly and happy to answer questions, although it is a little annoying that none of the prices are marked so you have to ask one by one. I bought a medium succulent for $7 and a medium orchid for $20 recently. I still think Central Square Florist has the best prices in the area, but this florist is not a bad choice.

The selection in this store is very large and the staff are so friendly. I bought a couple of plants from here and they've really put the finishing touches on my apartment. Walking by on my way home from work, I have to keep myself from going in to smell the flowers.

I grew up locally in the Boston area, and though I’ve moved to California, my mom lives within a few blocks of Brattle Street Florist in Cambridge. Over the years, I’ve sent her flowers on her birthday and special occasions. My mom recommended getting the flowers from Brattle Square Florist. I absolutely loved Brattle Square Florist for my wedding. In love with their end product, their professionalism and their down to earth attitude. Both my husband and I didn't know a lot about flowers but picked a few photos from Pinterest and send it to Randy. I was astounded in the best way possible the day of, when I saw the flowers arrive. They were exactly what we had asked for. The altar arrangements for the church were glorious, the table arrangements for both the reception and the dinner were so sweet and elegant. My bouquet and my bridesmaids' bouquets were so absolutely lovely and elegant. Everything was absolutely beautiful. So thankful for having run into them. If you have a wedding in the Boston/Cambridge area, the choice is really easy with them. And rest assured, your order will be handled with the best of care and taste. They were delivered promptly and it was a beautiful/large arrangement. I would definitely use them again. Not cheap but delivering on time is worth the price...

Brattle Sq Florists were absolutely amazing in providing flowers for our wedding. Randy Ricker in particular was super knowledgeable and helpful in the planning process. We approached him with vague design ideas and left with a great plan for the specific flowers and arrangements. Over the subsequent several months leading up to the wedding itself, Randy was easily able to accommodate our requested modifications. Ultimately the final products were truly amazing. Out of the half dozen or so vendors we contracted for our wedding, Brattle Sq Florists were certainly superlative. Importantly, the price point for the flowers were exceptionally competitive. Indeed, we found the flowers to not only be beautiful but also reasonably priced. I would very much recommend Brattle Sq Florists for anyone looking for high quality and fairly priced flowers for weddings and other events.

Helpful, friendly staff. High prices, but that is true for most shops in Boston. Parking is challenging in Harvard Square, but this florist is located very close to the MBTA red line Harvard Square subway station. This is the go to place for good flowers in the entire Cambridge area.

Found this place my sophomore year in college in 2015. My first time in, I purchased a young "lucky bamboo" plant as a plant for my room, to which I still have today. The thing has grown tremendously in that time. But its the customer service that I received 2 years AFTER I purchased this plant from their store that is important. On my transportation back to Boston one afternoon, my plant took a fall, and the entire vase shattered with all the stones spilling over the platform. As soon as I got to the city, I put it in a coffee mug, roots and all, and hurried over to the shop to see if they could help me out. I told them I bought this plant a little over 2 years ago at this store, and the pot it was in shattered this afternoon. The guy was so nice and helpful, thanking me for coming back to the store where I purchased it a while ago and went in back to a pile of various pots and planters. He picked a larger one out that I had before, as the plant had grown a lot in the last few years and was in need of a bigger home. He asked me about the color, if I had a preference or not, and then even matched the stones with the color of the new planter for me, which is nice blue shaded sea glass. I asked him what I owed him, as nothing had a price for this, and he just said a few bucks would do. Can't beat it! The plant is still growing strong too :) I will certainly be back for more house plants for my new apartment.

I've used Randy for last-minute (gorgeous) deliveries, but he was a gem when it came to creating our wedding flowers - and we had a *ton* of them. I'm no bridezilla, but I admittedly have highly specific likes and dislikes, down to barely-distinguishable-from-one-another flowers. Randy worked with me to ensure everything was perfect - from organic, voluminous displays on the tables (complete with golden chalices), to a dahlia and eucalyptus draped Chuppah, to bouquets so large that my now-husband joked they could double as self-defense weapons. He created distinct pieces for each room and setting, and was just a delight to work with overall. You can't beat the prices or the quality.

This is a great family-run florist. I rely on them for grabbing bouquets for hostess gifts, my own home, or for sending flowers to local hospitals when a friend is laid up. THey also have great potted plants and do beautiful arrangements.

This place is absolutely THE BEST. Stephen is my favorite, because he really cares about his regular customers (he often asks me how school is going, how my parents are doing etc), and he always does a beautiful job at a great price point. On the times I have asked for arrangements to be made and delivered, the response has been so immediate that I wonder how they manage to get it done so quickly. However the result is perfect every time. Whether I ask for a specific arrangement, or when I ask for "a nice spring, Harvard themed arrangement for $30" I have always been impressed with the result. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my flowers. Even if you are not in the Harvard Square area, it is 100% worth the travel time to bring your business there rather than other places. You will get a great result without ever feeling ripped off.
