Suburban Florist is NOT your ordinary flower shop!! From the moment I step into the store and am greeted by the warmth of co-owners Sherry and Susie, (two sisters) to the cheerfulness of all the employees , I know that without exception, all of my requests will be met once again. I have been a customer of Suburban Florist for over 35 years, for both my personal needs and for my business. From happy occasions such as birthday parties, dinner parties, holiday arrangements and thank you bouquets to funeral and memorial services, they have ALWAYS far exceeded my requests. Sherry and Susie always remember my favorite flowers and color combinations. They are constantly outdoing themselves with their new and creative designs. Walking into their store is actually like going into a delightful emporium of colors and smells. Not only are there seasonal plants and flowers, but also a myriad of tempting and unique gift ideas. The greatest compliment one can receive is when the recipient of their creations calls and asks who did those exquisite arrangements -- that happens repeatedly with everything I order from Suburban Florist.

Suburban Florist did a fantastic job providing flowers for our wedding! This was probably the easiest of all our wedding vendor meetings. We met with Sherry and looked over some Pinterest ideas we had for bouquets and centerpieces. Sherry quickly pulled together some examples and made changes based on our feedback. It was kind of incredible to see our rough ideas come together right in front of us. In the end it was a really simple process to put together a list of what we needed and update it with the final guest list. By the time we arrived at the venue all the flowers were ready to go and looked wonderful!

Was in the doghouse with the most awesome accomplished woman I ever met and whom I am crazy about. I couldn't make the flight from Florida to MD to apologize to her in person so I thought I'd get a dozen red roses to her ASAP to mitigate my stupidity. Being former owner of one of the largest dotcom overnight rose delivery companies in the USA, it was ironic that I had to pick out a reliable florist with the highest quality roses. I searched Google and Yelp and all the local florists there had similar ratings so I phoned each to see which was the most knowledgeable and had the freshest roses. I narrowed it down based on ratings to the top 3 in the area and commenced calling. One shop had no clue. The highest rated (well most rating anyway) had a knowledgeable sales person and good roses but I like to save a buck and their prices were same as Teleflora prices so I tried to negotiate a better price (Teleflora generally takes about 1/3 of the price you pay on one of their associated florist prices so you can usually negotiate 10 to 20% by calling the shop in person). These guys would not even consider it so I called the next Suburban and the longtime owner of the family business answered every question I had and trust me I grilled her. When I asked the price it turns out that it was 20% les expensive than the more rated florist near the Hilton, for even better variety of roses. Felt so good about it I never tried to get the price down and I bought in a small teddy bear and chocolates with the savings. The florist lady was so nice that she got the delivery driver to request that the concierge at the Hilton bring the flowers to my girlfriend's room to have them when she happened in from her conference. 5 hours later my sweetie's anger toward my dumb a#$ changed back to the loving sweet schoolgirl attitude she held before I opened my big mouth. She went on for a half hour describing the beauty and the way it made her feel good. She totally forgave me and she does not know it (Until she reads this) but those roses and the change made mme feel even better than it made her feel. Thanks Suburban! (The photos are from my sweetie over 2 days and show fresh high petal count roses from Ecuador which are slightly bigger than Colombian roses where 90% of US sold roses are grown.)

Met Sherry, by phone, as I called to place an order for two sprays of flowers for a funeral. This was my first service experience with Suburban and Sherry took the time to listen to me as I described in detail the types of flowers and colors i wanted and then I gave her designer free reign to create accordingly. I was very pleased with the lovely arrangements and would highly recommend this professional florist.
