Much of the joy I had in working with them was the anticipation of how our flowers would turn out--allowing Mother Nature and the creative design of these florists to work their magic! The initial sit-down with Carling was incredibly stress-free and laid back in their adorable Brentwood Avenue studio. Even though the original proposal was outside of my budget (I wanted a lot of flowers!) they worked with me! It is clear that they care very much about not only their clients, but also the partnerships they have with local farmers. This is a really unique local business, and as a lover of flowers, I would highly recommend Local Color Flowers for any of your floral needs!

My husband and I do not live in Baltimore, but we decided to have our wedding there because many of our closest friends live in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. We learned about Ellen and Local Color Flowers from a good friend in Baltimore. Neither of us had worked with a florist before, but Ellen made us extremely comfortable during the consultation. She asked just the right questions to help us determine what we wanted for our wedding, and she thoughtfully explained her unique and sustainable philosophy. She was thoroughly professional, and she was prompt and organized throughout the entire process. Ellen delivered the arrangements on our wedding day, and their bold delphiniums and zinnias took my breath away. She even went the extra mile to add peacock feathers from a local peacock farmer to each of the centerpieces, and that helped enhance our wedding's theme. Our guests also loved the flowers, and we received multiple compliments about them throughout the evening. Ellen is a true professional and a true artist, and I can't recommend her highly enough.

I’m sorry to say that I am disappointed enough in their customer service that I will no longer be going to LoCoFlo for my flowers. Every time I’ve gone, the staff is socializing with each other or with customers other than me to the point that no one has ever said “welcome” or “hi” or “can I help you with anything”. Twice I have asked questions during check out and the employee gave little to no care both times. I fear it’s because I only buy a few stems and not big bouquets or their class services. I don’t need to feel special every time I shop, but I don’t feel very welcome at LoCoFlo. I feel like I’m “not in the club”, which is a weird feeling on a Saturday morning. Nonetheless, the shop is beautiful and they have a nice selection of flowers and vases.

I called today to ask for a red, white and blue arrangement. The woman who answered ths phone seemed very annoyed that I had called. She immediately discouraged me from using her company to buy flowers. She said they do not have any blue flowers and she did not offer any alternative suggestions and immediately asked me to call a more traditional florist, thereby turning my business away. I was quite surprised having read so many good Google reviews. This company has very poor customer service and did not act in a positive, gracious manner when I called. Customer service is paramount and I won't be calling this florist again.
