Long overdue, but I wanted to share my experience stopping by Chevy Chase Florist on Sunday, July 21. I needed a boutinnière and showed the florist the bowtie I planned to wear as a reference for what colors I wanted. The florist showed me a Picasso Calla Lily as the base and the end result was perfect. Virtually every guest at the costume party I went to complimented the boutinnière and how well it went with the bowtie. I really appreciated the florist's attention to detail to getting the colors just right. I look forward to returning to Chevy Chase Florist the next time I need to pick up a flower of any kind.

From the bouquets to table arrangements, to her inspired work on the arbor where my wife and I were married, we could not have been happier with how everything turned out. From our initial conversations, Christine was easy to work with. She clarified our vision by sending inspirational photos and samples of her work. From there, she helped us understand how to maximize our budget and understand what other seasonal options would compliment the sunflowers that we wanted to be the main flower for the wedding. We received so many compliments on how phenomenal our flowers were - our photos hardly do justice, but they practically jump off the page! My wife and I are so thankful for Christine’s keen eye, precise organization and flawless execution. She even made sure to help my wife with a personal touch and surprise for me - attaching photo charms of our two cats to our bouquets!! What a spectacular florist! I have sent three different families flowers from this florist to express sympathy and support over the loss of a beloved parent. Each time the flowers have been absolutely beautiful, tastefully arranged, and delivered with care, on time. I have received notes back from my friends thanking me for the thoughtfulness of the gift, but especially commenting on the extraordinary quality of the flowers and the beauty of the arrangement. I placed these orders by phone (having never visited the shop) and have been impressed with the care and attention to detail the florist exhibited in capturing the essence of my request. I must apologize for not getting the name of the young lady that helped me but I am sure all employees of this fine florist is equally as helpful. My mother recently, suddenly and unexpectedly, lost her two beloved Himalayans in the same day. She was devastated. I put in a request for two very large and special roses to represent each cat and had them delivered. I received a call the next morning from the Chevy Chase Florist from a young lady that just wanted to confirm my request. She was patient and empathetic and sensitive to my request. This place is great. They've helped me out a few times with arrangements delivered the same day. They are also convenient to the friendship heights metro if you are using mass transit to visit a special friend. Highly recommended.
