A gift store with nummy cake! I am not much of a gift store person. Usually I have no reason to stop at places like these. For Christmas, my girlfriend wanted to check it out to get a a gift for a relative. In that respect, this place is on par with other gift stores I have seen. They have a nice upstairs to showcase some interior decorating. Where Parlin sets itself apart is the counter of home-baked goods like whoopie pies, brownies, and fudge. They also carry a local brand of loaf bread that is very good. Their prices are already great (especially for fudge), but you can check out the day-old section of baked goods for a cheap tasty treat. They also carry local home-raised eggs here. We always pick up a dozen if we stop by.

They were very helpful and thoughtful when I went in and explained what the occasion was and whatbttpe of flower and color would she hope to get. she put together a beautiful bouquet for me. I will recommend them to anyone.
