I just got off the phone with Gillespie Florists and to say the least, they made ordering flowers from a distance simple and painless! My aunt is in the hospital, and I live out of state. I searched up Florists in Avon, Indiana and Gillespie was in the list. 89 FIVE STAR RATINGS! Wow! It didn't take much more to persuade me to trust them with my order. The woman on the phone was pleasant and very helpful. She helped me decide what to order, and also with what to put on the card (I'm a guy, give me a break, ha ha). She even offered to email or text me a picture of the arrangement! Now that's service!

I'm a Westside Indy girl who ended up on the West Coast and STILL use Gillespie Florist for ALL my floral arrangements. I cannot give this establishment a high enough rating. The selection is gorgeous and prices are reasonable. But, the reason I've been a patron since purchasing my first boutonnière ... for my first junior high school dance date ... is because of the family-like, friendly staff and extraordinary service. Gillespie has always gone above and beyond to not only get my floral hopes perfected, but in such a timely fashion ... even when it seems impossible because of orders ahead of me or the shop is closing. Most recently, darling Sarah Gillespie made my heart happy and put my mind at peace by PERSONALLY delivering flowers to a family member recovering in the hospital. Since I cannot be home, this meant the world to me and brought so much joy to said family member. Thank you to the Gillespie staff for your continued professionalism and creativity and the Gillespie family, especially Sarah, for honoring the importance of customer care, community and family. Because of this, you have a life-long customer in me ... even living 2,000+ miles across the country. THIS should speak volumes to anyone considering Gillespie. xoxo

I got my wedding flowers here two years ago (2016). Even though we eloped and therefore had a small order, I was given the same level of attention and detail as any other bride. Since then my daughter has used them for her wedding flowers as well. And my husband has had corsages made for me for the adult prom and an anniversary night out. On every occasion they respected our budget, special design requests and timelines. You even get preview pictures so you can confirm that you are happy with the finished product before pick up. If there were more stars to give they would get them all. Love that they are in our community.

my husband ordered my favorite flowers, irises, to be delivered while he was away for work. The flowers were delivered promptly and would have been a beautiful bouquet but for some reason the irises never bloomed and started to turn yellow on the tips a few days later. I called to ask if this was normal, the employee stated it was not normal but that the stems needed to be cut every few days. this was not included in the directions on the card from the store upon delivery. This employee then connected me to the manager, Sarah, who was exceptional with customer service and delivered a new and fresh iris arrangement free of charge. these irises bloomed and were beautiful! I would recommend Gillespie, even if there is a problem with the flowers, they are more than willing to correct any issues until you are satisfied. Thank you!

Very helpful and friendly people! Wide selection of flowers, they had some no other florist in the area had. I called about ten different ones, and each one could order the lilies i wanted but for between $80-$100!This place had everything i wanted in stock, and the flowers were between $2 and $8 each. They're about half an hour away from me, but worth the drive. If I'm getting flowers for a special occasion, i want to get the right flowers and not worry about needing to pay an arm and a leg to get them. Lovely experience, I'll definitely be back.

Was going to the hospital this morning...to see a friend who had a stroke. At first, stopped by Kroger....small, unflattering arrangement was $25.00....looked like it may have cost $5.00. So, decided to stop by Gillespie Florist (1st time). Found 2 beautiful bouquets for around $12.00 + a vase. Gillespie was do kind to even arrange the bouquets into one beautiful arrangement. Total cost was under $20.00. The $5.00 tip we left said it all. Thank you for showing customer service is still alive and well.

The gentleman that answered the phone really helped me out. My mother in law had passed away and with all the busy things of every day life, I forgot to call in an order for a floral arrangement to be delivered to the funeral home. The family was to be at the funeral home by 11 am and I called the florist at 9:30 am. The arrangement I ordered was there when I arrived with my family and it was beautiful! Would definitely recommend this florist to others!

Sarah met with me personally to teach me how to make table arrangements and made sure I felt comfortable before creating the real thing. My family has used Gillespie for my sister's prom, my wedding, and work functions. They have found life long customers in me and my family. Sarah is incredible. I started my wedding flower hunt by emailing a bunch of florists with photos, colors, ideas, and budget. Most other florists just wrote back with a quick "Here is a price estimate for what you described." But Sarah wrote back with a long, detailed email complete with images, links, and more ideas to show how much we could do with our budget. The DIY option is an amazing money saver, as Sarah does not make you pay for any flowers that you don't end up using. I DIY'd everything except the bridal bouquet. Sarah was so helpful. She showed us how to make everything and helped us achieve the look we wanted. When I saw my bridal bouquet the day before the wedding, it was a little too big and round for my preference. Sarah fixed it right away -- she took out about half the flowers, and rearranged it for the non-symmetrical "wild" look I was going for. Best of all, she didn't make me pay for the flowers that she removed! I absolutely adored the end result. Everything about this process was seamless and enjoyable. She is quick to respond to communications and questions. She actively contributes to helping you create your vision. I couldn't possibly recommend her enough!

After browsing the website I wasn't sure if they had exactly what I was looking for. I called the shop and the staff were very helpful - they texted me a picture of everything similar to what I wanted in my price range. Although I was sending the gift from across the country, I was able to make a fully informed decision based on what they had available. I ordered a palm, and they offered to send a picture before it went out for delivery. The plant was beautiful and healthy, and I was entirely pleased with the end result.

Really high quality, fresh flowers! They even let you go into their freezer and hand pick the specific flowers you want in your arrangement then pick accent flowers to beat compliment what you pick. For a dozen roses of differing colors, accent flowers, baby's breath, and a wrap for the whole bouquet was only $25 so it's not like they're even much more expensive than a grocery store arrangement. They do good work and I'll definitely be back.
