George Thomas flowers provided the flowers for my dad’s funeral. They greatly exceeded our expectations. I’ve never seen roses so big, beautiful and fragrant as the ones in the spray on his casket. The arrangements from them from friend and family were tasteful, artistic and beautiful. This is my go-to florist in Indianapolis.

Put in an order to have flowers delivered to my girlfriend as a surprise. I actually live one state over, but it was very easy to do online. I got a call from the deliverer that she wasn’t home, but told them it was okay to leave them on the stoop. My girlfriend got home about ten minutes later and she was overjoyed. She set me a picture and they looked just as beautiful as the image from the website. Thank you so much- I’ll definitely be ordering from you again!

I have been ordering floral arrangements from George Thomas since the mid-70's...or basically for almost 48 years. I've only had 2 occasions where there were problems, which they immediately fixed the issues and did not charge me for the product. I have never been disappointed or dissatisfied with their customer service. Even when I've ordered arrangements that are created by one of their counterparts in a different city or state, the arrangements are exactly what I had expected. Not a good experience. I ordered a bereavement bouquet to be sent to a dear friend who lost his wife. I ordered over the phone and specifically asked for white carnations because that was a flower special to his wife. He happened to send me a picture of the arrangement and not a white carnation to be found! I called to complain and the first person asked rudely "what do you want us to do?" Ultimately ended up talking to one of the owners. She did apologize and asked what I wanted them to do about it. I said that a refund, at the very least, would be in order, since it would have been awkward to send a replacement arrangement. So it was agreed that my credit card would be refunded. It's been three weeks now and still no refund has shown up. Called again and was told that the refund must have "just gone by the wayside." Will not use this florist again.

I called, last minute, and they were able to assist me. After placing my order and receiving a photo, I discovered there was a discrepancy with my order. - I was looking for a flower company that could create a gorgeous bouquet that was a little outside the box. I looked at a ton of sites, and of course all the flowers looked pretty, but George Thomas caught my eye. I interviewed 3 different florists, and I really liked the way Mel, the wedding coordinator, talked through everything with me. I had created this cut-paste bouquet in Word and a bunch of pinned pictures of flowers, and from that she went through flower options, plan B's (in case she was unable to get certain ones), and reception extras. When comparing my initial cut-paste picture to my final bouquet, they look SO similar except, of course, the final bouquet was WAY better. I really wanted an organic, looser, romantic feel to my bouquet, and she absolutely created exactly what I wanted! We had pretty simple center pieces involving submerged roses which they put together beautifully. Mel was easily reached via email and touched base with me the day prior to the wedding to coordinate pick-up. One of the best parts of this florist was how amazingly AFFORDABLE they were! I initially looked into a DIY florist for that reason, and George Thomas ended up being on par with them! When I picked up all our flowers from the venue 2 days after the wedding, they still looked stunning! Very happy with this florist and definitely recommend them for their quality, price, and customer service!

However, the family of the deceased loved the flowers and said the cross in the arrangement was beautiful They said it looks like real crystal (I don't think it really is) . We ordered the small peace lily for a funeral. It had a lot of shiny leaves but there was not even one flower stalk visible. Also, the leaves hid the bow. If there wasn't a peace lily with even one flower available, I wish they would have contacted me and I would have paid for at least 2 or 3 artificial flowers to be inserted. At the funeral home, it was placed next to a peace lily that had about 5 blooms, which made ours look even less like a peace lily.

I ordered a "Beautiful In Blue" and a small box of Chocolates set for my wife to surprise her at work. I purchased them on Friday and had them delivered today ( Monday). From the initial website layout, to the ordering process, and reciepts the entire process was smooth and reassuring. My wife was absolutely thrilled and said the flowers were gorgeous and the chocolate were to die for. So, don't waste your time using those "big name" companies that will end up letting you down, just use your local florist and keep business within your cities! I ordered a wind chime on line to be sent to a local funeral home. Shortly after placing the order I received a phone call from George Thomas telling me they did not have that specific chime. I discussed the various options with the woman on the phone and decided on another one. When I arrived at the funeral home, I realized the one that I had ordered was NOT the one that had been delivered. The family was fine with the one they received, but, I did not like it as much as what I had ordered. I am disappointed that I not only was I unable to get the original one (which said was in stock,) but, the 2nd chime I ordered was not delivered either. Thanks! After posting this review, I was contacted by the owner of George Thomas apologizing for the confusion and offering partial compensation to me. The family that received the chime decided to keep them, so, partial compensation was more than fair in my opinion. I had a question and was called more than once by one of their executives to help me out. I am now a very happy customer and very pleased with their willingness to "fix" my concern. I will definitely be using George Thomas again for my floral or gift needs. Thanks so much for making a "not so good" situation into a "good one."

Update: The owner called and apologized and agreed this should not have been handed off to someone else. I appreciate his honesty and focus on customer satisfaction. I will do business with George Thomas again. I ordered from this florist after doing some research on someone local only to find out they really had some other florist do it. The florist they used was one that I specifically didn't want to do business with as I have had issues in the past with them. Won't order from George Thomas again as you never know if they are really doing the work.

Can't recommend them enough. Super affordable wedding flowers, delivered to the venue with ease. They were one-third of the cost of other florists in the greater Indianapolis area, and were exactly what I envisioned for our wedding. Later, I asked them to make boutonnieres and hair clips for a special event, and within minutes they were able to give me an affordable quote and I picked them up just a few days later. At pick up, they remembered our wedding! Such a special place.

We requested the angel basket and what was shown on the website was very different that what was sent. We upgraded to the "fuller" basket and it certainly did not look like it was worth $89.95. We requested the shades of pink colors and referred to the picture on the website and there was only one pink flowering plant in the whole basket. I was pretty disappointed.
