The short of it: - good service - friendly staff - beautiful arrangements - decent pricing - located in shopping plaza The long of it: I have both ordered from here and recieved flowers from here and have always been happy with the flowers from here. When I ordered flowers I just told them what type of flowers I wanted and they took care of the rest. The flowers looked great and the recipient was happy. They have lovely roses here, very big and seem to be of great quality. I would rather work with local floral shops than those online ones, because I've had poor experiences with them in the past. I also like that Irvine Village Flowers has staff that you can trust to make a beautiful arrange, they know their stuff.

This place has ruined not 1, but TWO special occasions! The first time, my mother ordered me a gorgeous bouquet of purple and pink flowers (my favorite) as a thank you gift. "Flowers by Valerie" delivered a brown/orange fall arrangement (which was more fitting for a thanksgiving dinner table) that was supposed to go to someone else, and sent my arrangement to the wrong person (I didn't know the people listed on the card so I didn't know who the flowers were really from). After much confusion, it got straightened out and I received the correct bouquet. Not holding a grudge, everyone makes mistakes, no big deal...my mom orders from them again today. It is my son's birthday today, so he wanted to send me flowers as appreciation. Being sweet and witty, my mother helped him order flowers with a cute balloon to say "It's a boy!". The flowers came and the balloon said "Happy Mother's Day". I was very confused, as were my co-workers, as to why I was receiving mother's day flowers Monday! Remembering what happened last time, I called my mom and after more confusion, she realizes they did not follow her requested order (we're not even sure they are the correct flowers she ordered). We just kind of laughed it off and she said she would call the store to let them know and see if they could fix it by sending the correct flowers and balloon. Again, things happen, no one was mad, but we figured the owner would want to know that the staff fell a little short again. My mom called me back LIVID with how rude the staff was too her! They told her it was HER fault to order "It's a boy" balloon when my son's personalized card said "thank you for years of unconditional love, you are the best mom ever." They said they thought the flowers were from a daughter to her mother (why would they assume my son's gender, and based on WHAT?! His name?!?!). They said my mother made it all too confusing for THEM! If they were confused, why didn't they call the customer?? What if these flowers were to be a special birth announcement to a spouse or grandparent?! The staff basically acted like my mom was an idiot and they took NO responsibility for the screw up. Horrible customer service!! DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING SPECIAL! Also, some of the plant is dead and has leaves that are rotting. #Neveragain

Requested 2 green latex balloons. After much digging around I was told the girls move things around and don't tell anyone. Twn I was told they didn't have any green balloons......really?

Great Customer Service. My flowers were delivered when I was not home. They were outside on a windy day for hours and got knocked over and some flowers were damaged. I let Flowers by Valerie know what happened and they were happy to send a whole new bouquet. I appreciate it very much, the flowers and service were great.

I have been getting flowers for my girlfriend turned fiancé from here for almost a year now. One of my favorite things to do is order something with a feel or color in mind and ask them to figure something out. I love the fact that I get a picture of what they’re sending and their humble website design and emails. They make beautiful flower arrangements and that’s all I need to know to continue being a customer.

My husband ordered flowers for my birthday. They looked like a child had cut them and stuck them in a vase.It contained mostly ferns with a few carnations, one rose and some tiny little "weed flowers'. I would not have let them leave the shop to deliver to someone.

I ordered flowers thru 1800 flowers and they were delivered from this florist. It wasn't at all nice. The roses did not open, they turned brown and wilted, the lilies went limp and there was only 1 carnation and half a bush of greenery as filler for this sad bouquet I paid $60.00 for. Even the balloon went limp Very disappointed. It was not at all like the pix. Sad thing to happen on Mother's day :(
