This place has ruined not 1, but TWO special occasions! The first time, my mother ordered me a gorgeous bouquet of purple and pink flowers (my favorite) as a thank you gift. "Flowers by Valerie" delivered a brown/orange fall arrangement (which was more fitting for a thanksgiving dinner table) that was supposed to go to someone else, and sent my arrangement to the wrong person (I didn't know the people listed on the card so I didn't know who the flowers were really from). After much confusion, it got straightened out and I received the correct bouquet. Not holding a grudge, everyone makes mistakes, no big deal...my mom orders from them again today. It is my son's birthday today, so he wanted to send me flowers as appreciation. Being sweet and witty, my mother helped him order flowers with a cute balloon to say "It's a boy!". The flowers came and the balloon said "Happy Mother's Day". I was very confused, as were my co-workers, as to why I was receiving mother's day flowers Monday! Remembering what happened last time, I called my mom and after more confusion, she realizes they did not follow her requested order (we're not even sure they are the correct flowers she ordered). We just kind of laughed it off and she said she would call the store to let them know and see if they could fix it by sending the correct flowers and balloon. Again, things happen, no one was mad, but we figured the owner would want to know that the staff fell a little short again. My mom called me back LIVID with how rude the staff was too her! They told her it was HER fault to order "It's a boy" balloon when my son's personalized card said "thank you for years of unconditional love, you are the best mom ever." They said they thought the flowers were from a daughter to her mother (why would they assume my son's gender, and based on WHAT?! His name?!?!). They said my mother made it all too confusing for THEM! If they were confused, why didn't they call the customer?? What if these flowers were to be a special birth announcement to a spouse or grandparent?! The staff basically acted like my mom was an idiot and they took NO responsibility for the screw up. Horrible customer service!! DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING SPECIAL! Also, some of the plant is dead and has leaves that are rotting. #Neveragain
